"Julie on reception went above and beyond her role, making sure my daughter received a card and present for her birthday that was during our stay. Other staff that we encountered during our stay were also very helpful and pleasant. Great hotel in a great location. Plenty of free car parking was available. All areas if the hotel were clean and presentable. This was probably the best experience we have had in a Premier Inn. The only negative we had was: We booked breakfast for 9am in the Beefeater. The restaurant did seem very busy and short staffed on arrival. There was a large variety on offer for the help yourself continental. We waited just short of an hour for the hot food order t arrive after speaking to a waitress. Unfortunately most items were very under cooked, except the poached eggs that were like bullets. We were so short on time to send the food back that we decided just to speak to the reception staff afterwards. The reception staff went above and beyond to rectify the issue. The breakfast was a disappointment for us both after having such a lovely evening meal the night before that was included on the meal deal with the breakfast offer."
"The hotel is located right by the marina, a short drive from the centre of Bedford. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. It has all the amenities you’d expect, like tea/coffee and a hairdryer. The room only had one towel which had a hole in it, which wasn’t a problem but despite putting the towel in the bath to be changed I had the same one the following day, which was disappointing. There were a few cobwebs on the walls in the room which made me question how well it was cleaned, but all in all it was generally clean. At breakfast there was plenty of choice of cereals and a good selection on the menu. I had the make your own English breakfast which was nice. All in all the stay was enjoyable and the staff friendly, but the room needed more of a clean and the housekeeping should be changing the towels when placed in the bath."
"Lots of parking and on a nice Marina, it's a great location. Lovely walk along the river into town which is approx 20 mins away on foot. The staff were really friendly and nice but I was a little surprised when I was hunting for some food at 10pm, the pub was no longer serving the lady told me there was a Mcdonalds ten minutes walk away, not safe at that time, but failed to mention the vending machine tucked away around the corner in reception!! I found it totally by accident looking for something else!! It was quiet and I got a decent nights sleep, ask for a room on the top floor."

"I have just returned from a 2 night stay at The George Inn, Maulden and my husband and I thought it was excellent all round. The rooms were attractive and comfortable with everything needed for our stay. The food was equally good and the staff were always cheerful and helpful. We would definitely stay there again particularly if we were visiting the Woburn Center Parcs Spa as we were this time."
"What a happy discovery this was! The inn is lovely, the b&b rooms have been set up to such a high standard, breakfast was just great! What's more, every member of staff we dealt with was pleasant, friendly, welcoming and really helpful. We are looking forward to being able to stay there again sometime!"

"Plus points: Comfy bed and pillows Clean and powerful shower Downsides: Never stayed somewhere so noisy in my life! Room right next to customer toilets for the bar/restaurant which meant a steady flow of traffic until the restaurant closed (11.30pm). This meant a continual banging of doors and general chit chat from people gathered on the stairs to go to and fro. Floors are wood so you can hear every creak- high heels clipping and clopping on the floor outside was very loud. Very noisy again from 7am when they must start breakfast prep and doors banging and banging up and down on floors. Would benefit from the customer toilets being downstairs!! There is no door on the outside of shower, therefore your guest can see everything at all times when you get into the shower and whilst you are in the shower. The door to the toilet is also only frosted with a hole for a door handle, so again your guest can see/hear practically every move. If coming with a new partner, or someone you are not 100 percent comfortable sharing everything with(!) It would certainly not be ideal so bear that in mind! Parking - parking is available onsite for free, however if you turn up when the restaurant is open be prepared there is very little space so you may not get a spot. And permit parking then outside on the road but this needs to be paid for. The passage into the car park is very narrow so some cars may also find this tricky. Very strange also that the hair drier was cold air(?!) Breakfast. Cold. Poor. Fried eggs overcooked. Scrambled eggs anaemic. Bacon a weird grey colour. Toast hard. Beans, well I’ve never seen beans in a smaller pot - I could have counted them!! Tea wishy washy. And worst of all a big container of peanut butter left out on the breakfast table! Considering my son has a peanut allergy it’s just dangerous! Have never seen peanut butter served at breakfast ever when I have stayed at hotels in the past, just irresponsible in this day and age. Restaurant review- We ate in the restaurant and have to say the guy who served us was very attentive. Drinks were good (good selections of flavoured gins). Food selection is ok and I would say average in quality - wouldn’t go again. Style over substance. Apart from the macaroni cheese which I was assured was not from a can but certainly tasted like it was! Bland, processed and tasteless! "
"So this was booked last minute, I had literally been dropped on my backside with my job been cut short in the Alps. My wife was on a course in Bedford, and was a lot closer for me to get to rather than travelling all the way home. The hotel its self was quite charming and the food was better than your standard pub grub. Although we had a slight issue with the room on the 2 day this was rectified and our room upgraded, to be honest I would of been happy for a similar room standard, to top it off we were offered complimentary drinks. Even in the time of crisis they went above and beyond. The staff were very friendly and helpful,if I am ever that way again I will definitely be staying"
"We stayed in room 15 which was really nice, very clean but could do with a handyman in for a couple of hours, nothing major but to fix the catch on the bathroom door, sort the plug on the bath etc.Have to say the bed was super comfy, probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. We had dinner in the hotel which was very good, but we were disappointed with breakfast on the Friday morning. We came down to notice a lot of the tables were reserved and when we spoke to the waitress were told,’alot of the tables are reserved,I’ll see if I can find you one’.This seemed rather unusual to us and we did get a table but there was a lot of tables taken by people not staying at the hotel.I understand the hotel can’t afford to turn away custom but we felt we were treated rather poorly in comparison to the non residents. The car parking is also somewhat unreliable,I would suggest if you get a spot, don’t move otherwise you’ll end up parking on the street and paying a small fortune."

Church Road, Flitwick, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom
"Celebrating our first anniversary so was looking for something a bit romantic. Found a great deal through Travelzoo. £149 for a saturday night, superior room, bottle of wine, 2 course dinner, breakfast and late check out. The hotel is set in it's own grounds. The room was dark beyond what I expected, it was more like a suite. The food was plentiful and of a very high quality. Having to go to the bar before dinner and waiting to be seated once you had chosen dinner made us feel special. Only small criticism would be that the duvet and pillows were synthetic which is not to my taste but I slept well. Had a lovely stay and certainly would be looking to stay with Hallmark once again."
"My wife and I have a birthday on consecutive days in March and with some good friends booked two rooms for one night. The hotel is in quiet grounds in a no through road complete with the occational deer and rabbit sharing the peace and quiet. The staff especially Kim and Michelle are excellent, nothing seemed too much trouble. Had an upgrade to a superior double which was room 4 with a vista of the ground and park beyond. Definately would consider another stay when in Bedforshire again."
"We found this hotel as it was dog friendly and close to a location we wanted to visit. From check in to check out, it was a delight! We had a lovely room with a conservatory that led straight to the garden. The room was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was superb - good size helpings, very good menu and excellent service. We intend to go again."

"Every nook and cranny in The White Hart oozes grand antiquity and contemporary retrofitting has ensured comfort instead of a dated environ usually synonymous with aged structures. The White Hart hits the right buttons with tasteful decor and attention to details. There’re ‘gargles’ from old pipes probably and a cranky air-conditioner but I’m too tired to take note. I’m aware only because I’m a light sleeper. The only drawback was the overly long prep time for my breakfast, which I had to miss unfortunately due to a lack of time. Nonetheless the manager on duty exercised discretion for not charging me for a take-out lunch requested when I’m seated for breakfast. "

"This hotel was really good value when we booked it. I wasn’t sure about it due to some of the reviews, but quite happy that we stayed there. It was for 2 nights in a double room with a private bathroom, on a Saturday and Sunday night. We checked in around 6.30pm and our room was on the top floor up some very narrow stairs (no lift) as it’s an old coaching house. The room was a nice size, nicely decorated, opening window, good size bathroom, wardrobe, tv and tea/coffee making facilities. Downstairs is a small reception, lounge area, lovely dining room and a small bar. We wandered out for a few drinks and then we wanted food. We went back to our hotel where the shutters were coming down and told ‘the bar is shutting!’. So, off we went next door to the next bar to be told they would be finishing food at 8.30pm and not the advertised 10pm. We quickly sat down, ordered and had food. The next evening there was nobody in the hotel dining room or bar area and when we walked in, we were told it was closing! That was 5.30pm. Off we went next door to get something to eat quickly. We had breakfast both mornings and it was really good. Service was quick and there was a range of cereals, juices, etc. Overall, it was a nice stay, the only thing that needs updating is the carpets really, I thought it was fine. The outside is well maintained and there is a lovely beer garden at the back which was being swept by staff on both days. The location is right on Woburn High Street and it has a car park at the back. If the car park is busy, there is free on street parking available. This is a small village. The local store closes at 7pm and around 3pm on Sunday. The bars and restaurants just seem to close when they are quiet, so be prepared.   "
"A rather spontaneous trip down south west, didn’t fancy driving another 5 hours home in the same evening. Looked online and saw this place pop up. Prices seemed very reasonable so I looked a little more, have them a call and they was able to accommodate my late arrival with no issues. Our room was 16, was really nice and tidy, I loved having our own little space. Would happily consider living in a place like that haha, breakfast was brilliant the next morning too. Didn’t spend a great deal of time there but the bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom was well maintained. Only points for feedback is to have a sign showing where rooms 14-16 are as it took a good 15 mins and a phone call (my own fault for coming so late) and the shower head falls down by itself. Hopefully will arrange a time to come back for w couple nights."
"OMG, Staying nearby and wanted good old fashioned "pub grub" that wasn't mass produced. The restaurant here certainly exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated in "shabby chic" style with mis-matched tables and chairs, a log burning stove and a well priced menu of our favourite dishes. All food is locally sourced and beautifully cooked to order. I had fish and chips and my partner had the Hunters chicken and both were delicious. Sweets are £5 each which is our upper limit and were well worth it. Proprietor was friendly and chatty though not intrusive and service was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely venue"

"The room was great and so was the sleep. It had a massive tv in the room. The bed was very comfy too. I wanted a bath rather than a shower...……...and the receptionist got me one. Brilliant. The breakfast was supposed to be buffet style but ended up having to be ordered. You couldn't get what you wanted. All in all though; the stay was good. I have stayed at over 50 premier inns; so far this is the best. I only give it average for them losing the way on the breakfast. The waitress was very good; and fast. It took me two hours to find the place as the directions are not good. The address for the hotel here on Trip advisor is wrong. the correct address is: Fletcher Road, Kempston, Bedford. MK42 7FY."
"What a fantastic Inn, the room was huge we were well impressed the staff couldn't do enough for us , will defiantly be back at this one. Lovely large bathroom. Shame it doesn't have its own restaurant, this would have been the icing on the cake so to speak"
"The Premier Inn is of the usual standard expected however the reception staff are exceptionally helpful and greet you very warmly. What made this a pleasant change was that the restaurant used is not a Beefeater or Thyme and so the menu was quite different.."

"First stay here and very impressed. Came to attaned a private function in one of the dining rooms (they have 2 available for private hire) and stayed in one of the premium rooms with river views. Bed was very comfortable, nice touches provided like dressing gowns and premium toiletries. Lovely large room (103) with high ceiling and views to the river. All spotlessly clean and well presented. Dinner was excellent, and breakfast was even better. Was very surprised just how busy and popular it was at 9.30 on a Sunday morning, it's obviously got a good reputation locally and I can understand why. Storm Ciara crashed through overnight during my stay and about the only feeback I can offer is that the sign at the front of the Hotel needs oiling, as it squeaked as it swung back and forth in the strong wind and had me out of bed earlier than I would of liked.... then again... gave me more time to really enjoy that Breakfast. Summary? Yes yes yes, loved it. Well done."
"Such a lovely hotel with a homely and family feel to it. The staff were lovely, always welcoming and kind. We had a river view room which was gorgeous, after a long walk it was nice to come back and sit on the sofa in front of the large windows looking out on the river watching the world go by. The room was large and spacious with a beautiful bathroom and lovely size bed. Breakfast was amazing, I didn’t expect such quality food for breakfast that was included within your stay. Well worth it. The only problems we had (sorry in advance) was that the room was freezing, luckily they have extra blankets in the cupboards. Also (we should have thought of this) but being on the road side of the hotel with the river view it was very noisy, with cars always driving along the road, but this wouldn’t stop me staying here again. "
"I stayed here for a couple of nights and am super pleased with my choice. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The location is beautiful and staff very friendly - they seem happy to go the extra mile to help. The car park is small. I got a space but some of my colleagues didn’t. There is parking on the road outside though. The food in the pub downstairs is nice and breakfast is good too. I found the hotel quiet but some of my colleagues in other parts of the hotel said it was noisy. I would definitely stay again. "

"Where do I start? Woodland Manor Hotel is a gem of a place. A jewel in the crown of the county town of Bedford. From the initial planning stage with Ailish right through to checkout after our stay - everything was spot on. On point. Having a once in a lifetime celebration such as a 50th surprise birthday party requires a huge amount of trust in the chosen venue. Trust that everything will go as planned & as promised. Well, Woodland Manor Hotel not only delivered but they exceeded all expectations. From the beautiful grounds surrounding the gorgeous historical building, to the modern & stylish reception area & bar, to the clean & spacious rooms, to the delicious food and the all-round friendliness & hospitality of the team. Our guests felt welcomed & at home. Many couldn’t believe that we had such an amazing place like Woodland Manor literally on our doorstep! Special mention must be made of Lynn & the rest of the team in the kitchen, Greg our “go to guy” on the night of the party & Eileen at breakfast, who was just so friendly & accommodating to our guests who stayed overnight too. And talking of breakfast....wow! The best breakfast I have had in a very long time. I had the Woodland Manor Breakfast / Full English and the quality of the ingredients was just so obvious. The sausage & bacon were the best I have ever tasted. So, I wasn’t surprised when Eileen said they were sourced from a local butcher. The difference was truly in the taste. Raj, thank you so much for all you’ve done and are doing at Woodland Manor Hotel. All your efforts will continue to reap great dividend. So, from someone who is sometimes called Mrs Bouquet i.e “Mrs Bucket” - not because of any pretentiousness but because I simply like things to be as close to perfection as possible - I can say that Woodland Manor Hotel comes very, very highly recommended. For rooms, for food, for a party venue, for the team & for overall ambience / feel of the place - Woodland Manor Hotel is 5 star all the way! Thank you so much for a most memorable occasion & stay."
"My wife and I stayed here a few times 20 years ago and have always wanted to return. We did so for a night recently and booked a suite as a treat. When we arrived at the hotel we went through check in and went to our room. The room was on the ground floor and had access to the garden but the room itself was nothing more than a large room with a couple of sofa's added. The bed was not king size as booked but a standard double. I couldn't see the value and returned to reception. There was nobody at reception but a sign instructing us to dial for assistance. I did and the phone just rang out...three times until the original chap came running down the stairs. He was very understanding and showed us another suite that was much more to our liking and matching our exoectations. Having moved rooms my wife found pubic hair on the shower mat in the bathroom which soured the mood a little! We went for dinner and eneterd the bar where the barmen just brought over menu's. When we looked a bit surprised he offered for us to sit in the dining room which we decided to do. He took us through and there were 4 round tables in a large room, only 2 laid. It was becomig apparent this was not a busy night! The food was quite good and throuroughly enjoyable. The bar though was full of cobwebs directly under the lighting on the bar itself. Breakfast was in the bar and was generally very good. One issue though was the fact that the toast came with margerine spread. Personally I hate the stuff so requested butter. We did raise the issues we found on check out but no manager was called so whether the issues were reported or not is a mystery. Unfortunately we were very disappointed but that could be in part because we had such high expectations. However, value for money? I don't think so, Food was good but the place is looking a little tired and neglected with more attention on the cleaning required. Given the current COVID situation the cleaning lapses are even more concerning than usual."
"We honoured our close family friend who was having a surprise 50th birthday celebration and decided to stay the night. The customer service in this place is just over the top and the warmest of the hotel is great. We had a fantastic time Saturday evening. The breakfast the following morning was just delicious and the waitress was polite, friendly and at the same time quite funny. On the whole the event, hotel was just great and my wife and I have decided to go back for another nights, infact weekend stay and add the therapy package 100%. Sooooooooo...What you waiting for...Book and go check innnnnnnnnn...You won't be disappointed "
