As soon as you go into the revolving door you are hit by a clean fresh sent. The hotel downstairs feels modern and clean. Check in was quick and easy and we got a free complementary cocktail each as it was our first time staying at Moxy. Our room was brilliant with motion lighting under the bed and switches at the bed side for other soft lights. The view of the lake and fountain was great. Perfect location to the NEC Birmingham and across the lake you have lots of eateries. We would stay here again if ever going to the NEC.

The front desk service attitude is good and kind
The room smells clean, the only downside is that the lighting is relatively dark and the overall condition is good
Clean bathroom with towels provided
Hotel buffet breakfast with multiple food choices
The location of the hotel is convenient, the train station & airport are within 5-10 minutes walk

Hotel location is good, but no Novotel is close to the airport. Novotel is walking at the door of the airport glass door for a minute. This hotel is to take the airport light rail for three minutes, then get off the train for ten minutes to walk through the exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is about five minutes walk. Remember that the hotel entrance is at the pizza shop. After entering the door, the elevator is on the second floor. It is the lobby, don't go wrong or circle. The breakfast is very suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the variety is very rich. I live here because I want to participate in the cake show every November. The picture is that it is convenient to go to the exhibition hall without going too far, otherwise the mobile phone is tired. Actually, it is also very tired, stop and go all the way. The hotel is actually a Shanghai-like Heshenghui, a big shopping mall. The hotel reception is in the corner of the second floor of the shopping mall. The guest room is inside the corner building built outside the main building. I feel that the floor of the guest room is built instead of cement, but the quality is very good. . There are not many stores in the mall, the British consumption is not high in the country, and there is a little bit of Colombia in the north. It feels high consumption. There are very few other shops. There is a coffee shop costa in the mall. You can buy a sandwich clerk to help you heat up. The huge sandwich is delicious. There is a specialty store in the Swiss Lotus chocolate, and it is more cost-effective to sell chocolate. Finally, the check-out of this hotel is not to check the room, the room card can go directly to the front desk.

What a stay! Very clean and fresh, great value and the staff couldn't be nicer! We made use of the spa both mornings and actually preferred that they cap the numbers to 30 at one time. Loved the Sky by the water bar, brilliant cocktails. We were served olives that were past best, let the team know and they went over and above to put it right. Thank you!

The nicest part of the hotel is the bar. Other than that I see no reason to stay here. The check-in desks are informal islands, the size of a dinner table where they check two guests in at the same time. So you are shoulder to shoulder with another guest and trying to make out your portion of two simultaneous conversations. When I got to my room, it was warm and stinky. I tried turning on the ventilation system, but it would not work. Called reception, they said they’d send somebody up to look at it. I waited over half an hour, nobody showed, so I called reception again. No answer. Over the next 15 minutes I tried a few more times, still no answer. So I figured I’d go downstairs to see what’s going on. The three reception clerks were just standing there chatting amongst themselves, no guests waiting. I guess they couldn’t be bothered to answer the phone. Anyway, now that I was at reception and explained the situation again, they gave me another room. That room had some really old, worn furniture and was actually a bit smaller than my original room. My punishment for requesting a decent room I guess. We had booked two rooms and the other room was very cold throughout the stay, with the air conditioner running hard all the time. Changing the settings on the thermostat has no effect. Breakfast was mediocre in offering. For a big room, there was only one coffee machine working. The queue was about 20 people deep at one point. Some of the warm food on the buffet was clearly not being warmed and had cooled to room temp, which is probably a food safety issue. We had requested a late checkout, were told 2pm, but keycards stopped working at 1pm. If you are looking to stay here because you want to be next to the shopping mall, be sure to check out the mall’s website first, it is quite small, and does not offer women’s apparel. There is also not much else to do in the area. I feel that this hotel is very expensive for what it has to offer. The rooms are worn out and uncomfortable and the staff that can’t be bothered to put in the slightest effort to make things right. They are probably just as frustrated working in this place as the guests are that stay here.

The decoration style of the Crowne Plaza Hotel is consistent. Since we are going to the exhibition, we are very close to the nec exhibition center and it takes 10 minutes to walk. Next door is Birmingham Airport. Basically, people who come here for business are not interested in any sights.
There is a large party bar on the first floor of the hotel. You can also order some food. The breakfast is on the ground floor. There are not as many choices as domestic ones. They are more English style. What scrambled eggs, poached eggs, fried eggs. Ah, sausages, and so on.
The whole is quite satisfactory. . . It is also a business trip, not demanding

We just spent a few days at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel in Coventry England. Michele and I were absolutely delighted and impressed with the level of hospitality and customer service that I felt compelled to write about our experience . From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay , we were provided with the most amazing service and had a wonderful experience with the beverage manager, Franklin, our waitress, Gowri, and our beverage controller, Aslam. You guys make an outstanding team. I can’t wait to return. We highly recommend this resort !!! Mark and Michele McCauley

We went to the Cast Iron Restaurant to celebrate our friend's birthday. The restaurant was neat and clean with Christmas lights. We were welcomed by the manager Mathew who seated us. We were served by Avani who was very pleasant. The food was excellent. I ordered the Daube of beef which was meltingly tender and delicious. My wife ordered Surf&Turf which she said was excellent. Our friends ordered sea bass which they enjoyed. On the whole it was a very pleasant experience. Special thanks to Mathew for making the visit memorable. We will be visiting more often.

We stayed here after we missed our flight and had to stay near the airport for the next day. The place was exceptional. The reservation receptionist was extremely welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. The facilities were excellent, and clean, refrigerator and kettle in the room with a gym and washing machine facilities in the hotel. The TV section is very good in the room. Check-out is 12 midday which suited us less time waiting in the airport. The airport is only steps away which has grocery shopping M&S, spar and restaurants for quick bites outside the hotel. There is a tram/bus to get into Birmingham city 6kilomteres away. The price is very good and appropriate for the quality of stay.

My friend booked the hotel for the night before our holiday and the night after due to a long journey to Birmingham. Night one: check in, no problems paid 2 separate bills on check in, lovely room, fabulous sleep as the bed was so comfortable. Check in following our holiday!!!!! The payment had been taken from my friends account when we had landed, on check in we pointed out to the staff we had paid. Room was awful, broken shower, broken toilet, tv didn’t work properly, we hardly slept the beds were so uncomfortable :( (on mentioning the problems at check out the staff didn’t care) We woke to a credit card alert, over night the Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham Airport had taken 4 further payments £101.37 £50,00 £91.14 £161.60. On check out we spoke to The manager, Claire Walsh. She had no real answers at all as to why the payments had been taken, just said they were pending so wouldn’t be taken, she assured us she would amend it immediately therefore the money would not be taken. We asked how can this happen when card details are supposed to be protected!!! She again had no answers. Yesterday a payment of £101.37 was taken!!! (We had already paid for the room) My friend now has the stress of more money being taken and getting the money back which has been taken :( so beware when leaving card details at Booking.com for this property. So disappointed.

This was our first time travelling from Birmingham Airport (we usually fly from Gatwick). We always book a hotel stay for the night before our flight and due to the proximity of the Novotel to Birmingham Airport we chose to stay here. Prior to our arrival I had looked at reviews on here and reached out to the hotel requesting interconnecting rooms (we are a family of 6 - 2 adults and 4 under 12s). We were advised that the request had been noted but could not be guaranteed. Thankfully we were allocated connecting rooms with the added bonus of an amazing view! The rooms themselves were well appointed and had ample space. I really liked the mirrored doors in the bathroom! The beds were comfy and the children who slept on the rollaway & sofa bed said they were also comfortable! Rooms were clean. All the staff we encountered were welcoming and friendly - including the gentleman who delivered our room service order (which was well presented and tasty)! At the time of writing bookings are required to dine in the restaurant (there is a menu inside the lifts which is also the room service menu). If you wish to dine inside of the airport (before security) then your options are Greggs,, M&S, Spar & Costa - the restaurants on the first floor are closed - I believe they are expanding the security area. Overall a great stay and should we fly from Birmingham again we would definitely stay again.

It was our first time staying at this hotel, which happened as a result of a mix up at a hotel around the corner. All I can say is wow! From the moment we walked in we were made to feel like VIPs and everything was amazing. The rooms were nicely laid out and comfortable. We went downstairs for dinner and again the service was excellent. A special mention for Abul who looked after us so well. We have decided that in future we will be staying here again when we travel Thank you to all the staff at the Novotel for a very enjoyable stay.

Hotel is not in a bad location for trips out…
But the hotel needs a lot of improvements! The breakfast buffet you are left waiting for them to replenish food items , you have to keep asking staff where are the cups for tea as none replaced there was queues because of the location of the toaster, be careful if you ask for water to be replaced in room as I was charged but then got a refund after complaining..the executive room was good but I know the standard rooms are not great. The staff were good but there needs better organisation. The pool area dated and no set time they seem to pick and choose open close times. We had quite a few issues not all mentioned here which we told reception about we was not happy and noticed other customers complaining.. we would not stay again and certainly not 4 star 3 at most .. can’t comment on spa treatments as did not use but looking at the spa I’m sure there are better ones around. Golf course 9 hole in good condition but outside hotel area need tidying up bit scruffy.

Lovely overnight stay.
Hotel was really busy with a large party but the staff looked after us really well.
Not a reflection on the hotel but they booked a taxi to pick us up and the taxi firm were totally useless. Having waited twenty minutes past the scheduled time, we called an Uber which was there in five minutes.
Overall, this is a great hotel which we have stayed at previously and will do so again.

Perfect base for a one night stop over before an early flight the next day. The food was lovely in the bar and reasonably priced. Walking distance to the airport and car park so location is perfect too! We used the monorail to go to the NEC/resorts world arena area which has shops, cinema, bars and restaurants. Great if you have a bit of time there as the hotel room is tiny but has everything you need.

Booked in for one night for an early flight from the airport not my first choice of accommodation had a travelzoo voucher from a couple of years ago and this was the only hotel I could use it at the rooms are very basic the first one was to far away from the lift for my disabled partner the second after 3 attempts to get in no one could get the door open-the receptionist gave us a different room the restaurant and menu was basic we left the car in the car park as part of the package it was ok for the few hours we spent there a short trip to the airport by taxi it seems to be a fixed price of £10

Was flying Sunday morning from nearby Birmingham airport, we paid £127 per couple with overnight accommodation with free breakfast, overnight parking and 2 weeks parking at air parks parking. The airport and parking were both only about 2 miles away so making it a good location for us. The staff were pleasant and helpful with a big bonus next door a cosy country pub called the little owl. Just a little negative was when we got home we received through the post a parking fine which we had to ring them up direct to say we had free parking through our booking agent holiday extras.

Booked for a friend and myself as attending a Tropic event at the NEC. Great service from arrival to checkout. Plenty of smiles and welcomes from staff, clean and comfy rooms, fabulous breakfast selection. My friend needs gluten-free and this was clearly labelled and in its own separate area. Would definitely stay again 😃
