We enjoyed the hotel as an internight stay on the way to Vienna and are around happy and satisfied. Our room with mountain view and balcony is attractively equipped, very quiet and very clean. Yeah, the atmosphere has been a little stuck in the past, but that makes it very charming. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, fresh sauce and cheese, no backbroads !! and the view from the restaurant to the mountains is fantastic. The staff was very friendly and competent and always ready to a pleasure. As I said, it is hardly perfect, so we will definitely come back .... then understandably a little longer.

The hotel is way more than I expected, could not ask for a better place to stay! The outdoor pool, the immense garden to relax, the view to the mountains, the spacious and quiet rooms, the friendly staff, everything is just combined to offer a great stay. And there's more: the indoor pool is just my son's favourite place, plus the outdoor playground. He made a lot of friends and they play altogether in the garden. Then there is the restaurant, serving great, delicious food, and is really a pleasure to eat outside by the garden. The hotel could be easily considered a 4 star, it offers everything one might want for a comfortable stay: cleanliness, location, facilities. Definitely will be back whenever in Königssee region again.

The hotel is very close to Berchtesgatan Hbf, about 5 minutes walking distance. The rooms are decorated in a Bavarian style and have a small terrace. The breakfast is very rich and there are more types than the average. Overall it is good. It is also very convenient to travel. It is also close to the center of Rewe, Lidl, etc. It is about 20 minutes away from Zentrum

Very clean hotel, the front desk staff is very welcoming, the room does not have a hot water bottle and cup, and the luggage can be stored for half a day for free. The room has an electric heater, and in mid-October I opened a little temperature. It is 15 minutes walk from the King Lake cruise terminal, and the walkway and car are separated, very safe. The dock was full and the boat started. I took the boat at 9 am, the lake was foggy and the scenery was not visible all the way, but when the fog cleared, the whole King's Lake and the Red Dome Church were full of fairy spirits against the trees and mountains. The October boat did not lead to the back lake.

There are two properties: one is a castle, the other is not. Plan yr expectations accordingly. We booked a double room in the annex property for three nights. This property is tired and needs an update. Our room (221) was in the attic and resembled a small Hampton Inn/Howard Johnson room from the 70's/80's. The furniture was IKEA-like and minimal. There was no refrigerator or minibar (no wine/bottle opener) in the room and they ask you to refill your complimentary bottle of water from the tap in the bathroom daily. Three nights of this (with breakfast - I'm coming to that - ) cost us 560E. The bathroom was updated and had an excellent shower. The accommodations were adequate, but the property (including the small, drab lobby) has not been updated since at least the 90's. The front desk staff was not particularly helpful or friendly (and I speak German), but we didn't have any issues during our stay. There was no Austrian Gemütlichkeit. The town of Salzburg is a brisk 20-minute walk from the hotel. There are no reasonable restaurants in the vicinity. An Uber was 14-16E when we looked at taking one from the hotel to the centre of town. Now to the other property: breakfast is served in the castle and is a very different experience than the annex. The staff is 5-star and cater to yr every wish. We would like to recognise Marianna and Gunista for their extraordinary service during our stay. The breakfast itself is very good and the selection is excellent. I have to say, that we did not appreciate the ”woke education” that was made visible in every corner of the castle. It is not the venue, and we did not come to the property for a lesson in atonement. It was not a bad stay; it was not a great stay. Adequate at what we perceived as a high price. Again, we hope our review will help guests set their expectations for these two properties. You decide!

We stayed two adults and three small kids in a family room. It was perfect for us. Clean and fresh hotel and room. The breakfast was great! Super friendly staff. The restaurant was great in the evenings aswell. Small gym and nice sauna in the basement. The hotel is located perfectly to go to the alps on day trips to Halstatt, Königsee, Wolfgangsee and many more places. It's also perfect to go in to the city from here. If I should say something on the negative side - there were some noise from the road if you have your room in that direction and have the window open.

At this time, the temperature in the room was suitable, and the communication between the family members was particularly intimate. At this time, we seem to be back to childhood, full of fun and warm times. In the warm atmosphere, our family talked and laughed, and spent an unforgettable night. The snow outside the window was still so beautiful the next morning. Our family went to the restaurant to have breakfast. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant, the breakfast food is of high quality, rich and delicious, and it is lingering. During breakfast time, our family had a pleasant morning. The hotel is in a small town on the hillside and the environment is beautiful. The breakfast variety is quite rich, that is, the restaurant has flies, and the waiter does not care. The room is small, has a fridge and no kettle. At the time of check-in, the front desk staff clearly told us that you should never use your own household appliances, such as a hot water bottle, saying that someone had burned water before and burned the furniture. The most important thing is that there is almost no network, the signal is slow, and the front desk is explained. It is explained that the entire region is currently doing network upgrades. Overall, the attitude of the service staff was a bit cold, and the hotel had no highlights.

absolutely loved my stay at this place. It's so quaint and unique, you're staying in a house instead of your traditional hotel room. The room was so big and the bed was very comfortable. Enormous bathroom & bathtub and my room looked out into the woods behind the house. Three large windows in the bedroom that let in the most beautiful light, as well as one in the toilet. I didn't get the chance to eat at the restaurant downstairs (they were booked) but it looked super cozy. My room was very quiet and relaxing, even on a weekend, despite some of the comments that rooms are noisy. Cannot say enough great things about my stay and hope to visit again!
