"One point is not good! I think a 2,000 hotel is at most 500 yuan. The hotel is big, like a villa, but it's all eggs. The room is very small, and I think it has a smell. Communicating with the front desk, they said it was a cheating of the agent's picture. Ha ha ha ha, I won't come again for breakfast, 50 dollars a person thought it was a buffet, but I could only order one dish. A person. It’s exactly the same as the brunch the day before, but the price is half cheaper than this"

"After coming across the Sticky Rice Villas and cooking classes on google I decided it would be the perfect location to propose to my partner who loves travel and cooking. I booked the Bali Villa and it felt just like we were in a 5 star Villa in Bali, it was simply stunning and very well equipped! It even surpassed the photos on their websites! Once you’re in the Villa you also can’t tell that there are any other Villa’s around, you feel completely secluded. We then did the Thai Feast cooking class and we learned to cook 4 amazing dishes. The class is very social as we worked in groups of 4 to prepare the dishes. We then had a big group dinner with the other class attendees, and there was more food and wine than we could all finish. While this was going on, the team at Sticky Rice had snuck into my room (as I requested) to set up rose petals in a “Will you marry me?” Quote on the bed, and when we got back to the room it was laid out even better than I imagined, they had even lit multiple candles to add to the atmosphere, it was just perfect! And she said yes of course! Thank you so much to the team at Sticky Rice, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!"
"My husband and I had multiple recent occasions to celebrate and wanted a trip away from our little darlings. I found sticky rice online and seem to meet our need to have a restful break away. With Covid restrictions in place and finding somewhere to stay with an on-site restaurant was tough. Sticky rice was perfect we took advantage of a package where you create a three course meal and a night in a villa. My husband and I are not the best cooks so I was a little worried but the staff and Yuki put us at ease from the beginning. Somehow we made a tasty lunch with lots of laughs. The villa was very clean and was perfect. It was romantic, secluded and intimate. We had brought some food with us so we did not need the villa. It was a restful evening and night and gave my husband and I quality time together. We would really recommend sticky rice for a great and different break away and close to Adelaide CBD. The staff were relaxed and caring. Yuki was knowledgeable and adapted the recipe for my dislike of very spicy food. The villa was comfortable and well equipped."
"We spent a delightful 2 days at Sticky Rice Villas after a trip on The Ghan, The villa is divinely spacious and fabulously decorated. We chose Yoko, which has a Japanese theme. The highlight was the bath overlooking the garden with a beautiful statue, which when lit up at night, looks magical. The kitchen is very sophisticated and well equipped We were able to cook up a delicious dinner with our lunch left overs from our private cooking lesson earlier in the day. The cooking lesson was the best fun ever. Thank you to Yukiko for her brilliant cooking and menu. Claire the hostess is charming and incredibly hospitable. We loved our time at Sticky Rice!!!!"

"We stayed at this hotel midweek unfortunately only for one night and so did not get to fully immerse ourselves in the Crafers experience. The renovations are very well done, both public areas (bars, sitting rooms and restaurant) as well as the upstairs accomodation beautifully decorated. We stayed in the heritage room which was quite small, I guess due to needing to keep within the footprint of the hotel windows etc and in comparison to the incredibly high ceilings. The bathroom in comparison was huge with a large shower and full stand alone bath plus a large amount of extra space. Everything is immaculately maintained, and there are a lovely touches like a welcome card. They have gone to a lot of trouble to create a very luxurious environment: - Lightning was excellent, just loved the chandelier, and the great reading lights. Very comfortable bed with beautiful sheets. Deep pile carpet. Plentiful Sheridan towels in the bathroom and Aesop products both large containers in the shower and samples at the basin. We had a lovely meal in the dining room which was very busy for a weeknight. Extensive wine list. Loved the attention to detail also in continental breakfast provided and fit out of the guest kitchenette. The only issue we had ( aside from figuring out how and where to check in, which is not uncommon for pub accomodation) was that music noise filtered from the downstairs bar in the evening and then there was quite a lot of traffic noise from the early morning. This seemed to be people taking the on-ramp to the freeway, something the hotel can’t control but unfortunately does detract - thus the earplug comment. Despite this, I would love to stay again and definitely recommend, for a multi night stay. "
"We had two nights here as a base for exploring the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale, while also being within easy reach of the airport for a morning flight home. The hotel has been beautifully and thoughtfully restored and the staff were universally excellent. The thoughtful touches included offering facilities for a complementary DIY light breakfast (midweek) if you need to make a quick getaway; complementary mini-bar; robes and slippers; morning newspaper and a good sized bathroom sink at an adult height with a swivel tap. And one of the comfiest beds I've slept in. We asked about dinner on the Saturday night and while heavily booked, they managed to squeeze us in. The full wine cellar list was magnificent and there were some interesting wine-of-the-day offerings as well. The menu was Frenchified but with modern touches and generous servings. Not classical French dishes, so not up themselves either. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was a bit more leisurely and good value for hotel prices. We had no problems whatsoever with noise, even on a Saturday night. Would I stay again? Yes, yes and yes. Well worth the money if you want to treat yourself."
"Stayed for 1 night on New Years Eve as a end of year treat. Am I glad I did! Totally impressed from the minute we checked in by lovely lady (sorry I forgot your nane) Room was just lovely. Spacious, spotless, sumptuous. Great ammenities. Went to bar for drink. Too much to choose from, settled with pear & apple cider Dinner at 7. Glad I made booking as restaurant was extremely busy.. Seated in lovely quiet spot. Well attended by waitress. Given it was NYE, we assumed service would be slow & standard low. BUT NO.. Ordered barramundi, scotch fillet & panacotta, washed down by couple more ciders... Well... Was I impressed Food out promptly, very high standard, delicious.. that steak was best we had in a long time.. Crafers is now marked as my special go to place.. Bed was comfy, had great sleep, wonderful shower & continental breakfast in the morning in a lovely kitchen area set up for guests... just quaint.. Thankyou Crafers hotel, you've done yourselves proud. Thank You Chef.. Keep up the great service Can't wait to come back"

136 Stock Road, Mylor, South Australia, Australia
"We spent a night in the double room with the ‘shared’ bathroom. We suspect this place may have been an old scout or school camp. The rooms are more ‘dorms‘ than nice ‘Retreat’ rooms. There’s no heating or cooling, except for a fan. It was freezing overnight and the basin in the toilet was so tiny we could hardly wash our hands in it. The whole place was filthy. It doesn’t look like it gets cleaned. If it does, it’s not often. I spilt water and wiped it up with toilet paper, which was then brown with dirt from the floor. My feet were dirty after spending time in the room barefoot. The ‘recreation’ room had lots of couches and tables and apart from a Connect 4 kids game, and a dart board with 2 darts, there was nothing to do in this space. Oh, there was a tv. We didn’t use the shared shower facilities as they were disgusting. The floors, basin and toilets were all visibly dirty. They advertise having a coffee machine on one site, a B&B on their Facebook Page and on this site they even claim to have a coffee shop! Depending where you look they, variously describe themselves as a retreat complete with a permaculture garden, a B&B, and a resort. It is none of these things. I’ve stayed at better backpacker accommodation. There were NO staff there at all, even though their website says their chefs are there to cook for you at any time. It was self check in. The coffee pod machine was filthy and you were expected to have brought your own pods ??? There were no ‘condiments’ in the shared kitchen at all and our ‘garden view’ was the corrugated iron roof top of the shower block. In the room there was a sign saying ‘please open the top windows during the day to ventilate your room’. However, my partner, who is 6ft 5in couldn’t reach the lever to open the windows. It was also NOT Covid compliant at all. No hand sanitiser, no signs - nothing. I mean they don’t even clean before guests arrive so why would they be Covid compliant. Do not recommend staying here at all."
"This property is not what is listed on TripAdvisor or airbnb. We stayed here a few weeks back and were promised ‘exclusive access’ to the property only to find the kitchen off limits as it being used by a cooking crew. These guys were in and out of our communal living area the whole time, even stopping in to use the toilets and smoke at 2am. The host was hostile and evasive, doing nothing to resolve the issue. He was clearly ‘double dipping’ by leasing the property to two separate parties without telling us. He even changed the listing description during our stay. Don’t trust him or the listing."

"We stayed here to be close to a wedding happening in Aldgate in the Adelaide Hills. This is a beautiful part of the world and our stay didn't disappoint. We booked a loft which had high ceilings with exposed beams. The fittings were well appointed and the room was very tidy. The decor, like most of Hahndorf was more classical than modern. A nice balcony that opens to a park added to our experience. Beautiful bakeries within very short walking distance. The biggest decision is whether to go right or left because you really are in the heart of town. The room had good air-con, a large comfortable bed and was very quiet. The loft is spacious, with a large fridge to store treats in bought locally. The bathroom comes with a spa bath that my partner said worked well. The only issue was the shower that went cold soon after getting in. This happened twice out of three showers we had so probably is an issue. Otherwise a great stay and very reasonable rates. Reception are also the cleaning team so is rarely on hand over the weekend. We did not interact with them at all but check-in was via an external safe and check-out was via a key-drop box. Very efficient - worked well. Communication via phone and email was excellent."
"We loved this loft which was upgraded to us, had great facilities and so restful and peaceful situated at the back of the main shopping centre and ideally close to all the shops of Hahndorf. The staff very friendly and helpful. We just wished we could have stayed longer and if we ever return this way will stay here again. Highly recommend."
"Awesome loft rooms that are spacious and comfortable with nice views and a huge spa bath. Our rooms were clean, equipped with the essentials and staff very friendly and efficient. Situated perfectly on the main street ideal for strolls to all nearby attractions. The Hahndorf motel is now my favourite hills accommodation. "

"We had 2 rooms for a Saturday night, 228 and 229. The place is a dump, clearly, very little is reinvested into these rooms in terms of maintenance, refurbishment and even cleaning. It was raining the day we arrived, upon entering room 229 we were smacked in the face with a pungent, damp smell. The source of this damp smell was glaringly obvious, the carpet and the curtains by the window were saturated. The windows were filthy, however, it appeared the moisture was rising through the floor. We then looked in the bathroom, wow. Clearly there is a leaking roof problem, as the ceiling paint was peeling in multiple spots, and the wall tiles were coming off the walls. There were dead bugs on the floor and the toilet pan was not secured to the floor. By this stage, my wife decided to go and find the manager, Craig, I believe was his name. He accompanied my wife back to the room and upon entering the room said he could not smell anything. Surprisingly, he said he was unaware of any problems with the bathroom ceiling or walls. Clearly, either completely incompetent as a manger, or perhaps covering for managers/investors that won't remedy serious issues with the accommodation. He did offer to attempt to find accommodation elsewhere, but said it was unlikely that any alternatives would be available. After he left I decided to look at the exterior in an attempt to find the source of the dampness. The source was glaringly obvious, the floor level of the unit was below the ground outside and there was no real drainage. As well as gutters choked with debris. It was at this point that we realised he knew full well of the problems with the rising damp, as there was a meagre attempt to divert the water away from the building , by means of a mediocre trench/gutter carved into the mud. Whilst room 228 was not as bad, it was still terrible. Inside the wardrobe was full of mould, the bathroom ceiling was moisture affected and the spa bath had broken jets ( not that we would even contemplate sitting in it). I can't comment on the food, as we were that disgusted with the accommodation, there was no way I would risk dining in their establishment. I realise this is a scathing review, however, it borders on irresponsible for hotel/motel managers to put families in rooms with mould and damp issues. Seriously, do yourself a favour, go somewhere else. The management clearly know there are problems, they refunded the cost of 1 room within days."
"I stayed with a group we had 7 rooms and everyone of them was spotless and comfortable - staff were really friendly and our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard each day - if I come back to Hahndorf I will be staying here again. Having a wonderful restaurant on site was a bonus - and did i mention friendly staff - great stay - thanks "
