When deciding on a place to stay in the Cotswolds, I looked no further than Buckland Manor - it was just as I had remembered - magical - no matter how beautiful a place is, and Buckland Manor is breathtaking, its the staff that make a stay memorable and mine was truly a delight - Claire, the charming and delightful receptionist, to Jacob our young waiter who looked after us so well, when dinning outside, which was all the time , to Tom, Buckland Manor’s passionate gardener, who kindly showed us around the gardens - it is a stay I shall remember for a long time - thank you for making our stay with you so memorable - cannot wait to return.

Location is good, very close to the town centre. The English Manor Hotel is very welcoming and comfortable, with a large lawn and wide view. The hotel not only has English billiards, but also a Michelin restaurant, which is very delicious. The rooms are large and tidy, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious, and the garden is full of flowers. The most recommended is the hotel's own wine, which is very delicious and sweet and sour.

I stayed for three nights in a row. Later, I was really tired of eating, so I paid for it. This time I stayed in the side wing and helped me upgrade to a river view room. Lovely Hotel, definitely stay again but not in the room given to me , I had emailed and called in advance for a lower floor as I have 2 miniature dachshunds, I was very surprised to be at the very top of 6 flights of stairs no lift ! Court yard room next time .

This hotel is the only hotel in town, so the tourist season is very hot and the price is not cheap. However, in fact, in addition to the Arlington row room suitable for taking pictures, there is nothing to look at here. It feels like the Swan Hotel is more like the American country hotel, no matter the decoration of the house or the restaurant. Good service, breakfast is buffet + order, rich. A great stay in a quiet room with a wonderful claw foot tub and a brilliant comfy bed...what more can you ask for? I booked a 2 for 1 special on the room and I was impressed with the quality, the cleanliness (I'm a retired inn owner) and also the housekeeping. We had supper at the inn both nights and the food was delicious, portions generous and the beer well cellared. All the staff were personable and we liked the fact that out of season the place was a joy to stay in as we heard no other guests. However the window cleaners who appeared one morning at 09.15 nearly got an eyeful of adult form...but graciously decided to not clean the window right next to our bed. We were disappointed as we'd love to share....and believe you and me ...we are nothing to write home about! We will return.....

The traffic is very convenient, very close to the attractions, cost-effective, so stay here often, I like it hahahahaha

My wife and I stayed for one night earlier on this week while visiting a friend and scouting the area for a possible relocation from London. It is based on a 17th century manor house with more recent additions which blend in well with the main building. I was welcomed by a lovely South African lady and a Hungarian gentleman who were both very pleasant and helpful The bedroom was on the second floor overlooking the High Street. The decor was pleasant and fit in with the general ambience of the hotel and it had a very nice bathroom attached. My only comments are that the room was quite hot even with the heating turned off and the windows open. The othre which I alsways check is the availability and access of power points/USB sockets. The room fell down here as there were no sockets or USB ports by the beds. Breakfast was excellent and overall we had a very enjoyable stay. Parkiong is either in the High Street which is free or in the car park which is a short walk throught the grounds
