"Canyon Suites review My recent stay at the Canyon Suites in the end of October 2019 was nothing short of spectacular. It’s billed as a five star luxury boutique resort within a large resort. I booked the Canyon Suites through AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts (FHR) which only added to the wonderful experience with a huge one bedroom suite upgrade from a standard can you suites room. The other FHR included breakfast for two every morning up to $80 which we rarely used because the complimentary Canyons breakfast was so good. All the breads and pastries are made in house to give you an idea of the attention to detail. Logan and all the concierges were so helpful and the experience from the moment you check in at the guard station, which lets the concierge know to come greet you at the entrance is amazing. The check in experience is similar to a Vegas VIP check in with no counters or lines. The lobby, which is also the complimentary breakfast area and the bar in the evenings, is relaxed with employees everywhere constantly checking in on you. Our room was huge with 1.5 baths, living/dining area with a large dining room table, a desk/lounger room, two terraces and a terrific bathroom. The bed and sheets were top quality. My only complaint the entire trip was not getting the master bedroom cool enough. A box fan helped remedy that situation. To say that the service is unparalleled would be understating the entire Phoenician establishment. The Canyon pool servers, the chauffeurs who double as bellhops (and are the same few employees the entire time so you feel comfortable), the restaurant employees at the J&G, the Tavern and Mowry & Cotton, and the marketplace. I wish I could remember everyone’s name but I can say without a doubt that these are some of the most congenial people I’ve met at a resort. Everyone was excited to serve the guests. It’s unreal. Lastly, the spa is over the top. The recent remodel places this spa in the top 2-3% of spas I’ve ever been to. We initially chose the Phoenician because of the beautiful grounds and how you felt like you were not in Scottsdale but in a remote locale. What blew us away was the service, the ambiance, the quality of the food. We had a list of restaurants we were going to dine while in Scottsdale but scrapped that in favor of staying on the grounds the entire time we were in Scottsdale except to go shop and hike, which we did every morning. I will not only make this my only hotel in Phoenix/Scottsdale, but I will actually go there as my sole destination in the near future. That’s how much I love the service and the facilities. "
"My husband and I chose to spend our “babymoon” at the Canyon Suites, and it was truly the best, most memorable experience. This is the place to stay for celebrating a special occasion. We found that the staff made it feel authentic and personalized. At check in, we met Kate, who was genuinely excited to learn that we were expecting and planned to have our gender reveal cake delivered to the resort from an offsite bakery. Kate went out of her way to call the bakery and ensure the delivery was coming to the canyon suites lobby and not to be confused with the Phoenician. She also organized the most thoughtful babymoon themed amenity to be sent to our room - a chilled bottle of Martinelli’s (sparkling apple cider), a cute desert themed baby book, and a plush cactus baby toy. We loved the vibe of staying at the more boutique and intimate resort while having access to all the amenities of the large Phoenician property. The bellman were so nice and they always offered golf carts to shuttle us to the Phoenician main lobby, the newly renovated spa, and the fitness center. We also took advantage of the complimentary car service a few nights going out to dinner in Scottsdale. The poolside service was excellent, and we learned certain staff members have been with the Phoenician for several decades. The daily breakfast was also a highlight and it took place in the beautiful main lobby where the bar area is located. Great variety of offerings and again, the breakfast staff were so nice. Also - the bar was fantastic and the bartender was happy to experiment with making me a mint julep mocktail during the Kentucky Derby. Overall, we had such a wonderful experience staying at the Canyon Suites, we even extended our stay one extra night. Having lived in Phoenix for seven years, I was only aware of the Phoenician as a large resort, and not this boutique property situated within. It is a newly discovered hidden gem for us and we certainly plan to return one day with our new baby girl :)"
"Our family had the pleasure of staying at the Canyon Suites for 3 nights before Thanksgiving. We had one of the best experiences we have ever had (and we have visited lots of hotels and resorts). The room and patio - spacious and luxurious. The grounds - meticulously maintained. The pool - kids were in heaven. The food - top notch! From pool-side drinks pool...to Mowry & Cotton and then the best happy hour margarita at The Tavern. The breakfast served in the Canyon Suites lobby was one of the highlights (also great coffee machine). Game room / fitness with Pelotons / golf / tennis - what else do you need! Now for the staff. WoW! Everyone we encountered was friendly, gracious, and accommodating. Patrick (door), Jeanette (Tavern), and the AM breakfast woman (I am forgetting her name) were fantastic. We loved it so much we have already rebooked for the last weekend in February! Can’t wait to return. See you again soon and thank you for making our Thanksgiving break one of the best!! "

"A rare rainy spell in Arizona meant this was not a typical visit to the Four Seasons. No lying by the pool (one of the best hotel pools in the world IMHO), no sitting out under the stars by the fire pit watching the twinkling lights down in the Valley, no sitting on the balcony of our casita watching the wildlife. But the rooms were as comfortable as always (best hotel bed!) and spotlessly clean and I’m delighted that they’ve switched back to L’Occitane bath products this year, after an experiment with some local suppliers. Unable to enjoy the pool, we had fun doing a local beer tasting at Proof, trying four different craft beers. And even though we couldn’t enjoy them outside, the prickly pear margaritas at Onyx are still the best in the world! My one criticism is that our room was never made up til at least 3pm each day, which was curious as the hotel was virtually empty. And frustrating because we were spending so much time in it! Hopefully the sun will shine next year!"
"the hotel has a beautiful territory; can be seen bunny ; hummingbirds and etc! hotel rooms are separate houses throughout the territory! the room has a mini fridge; coffee machine Nespresso and beautiful fireplace! rooms a little old but still pretty! now is only one restaurant open (breakfast lunch dinner)! The pool area is very beautiful; heated and very warm! there is a cafe by the pool where you can eat (good menu) and order drinks! The only thing that upset me a little was that we flew there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and even told them about it in advance (they asked us on the phone)! but when they arrived we were not given a compliment from the hotel (as usual, good hotels give either a bottle of champagne or just one candy or one rose at least)! it would be just nice! usual even ordinary restaurants give a dessert or a rose for a couple! who is worried about the virus - this hotel has all the standards!"
"Our recent stay at the Four Seasons in Scottsdale was exceptional...from the valet, to the front desk, to our room everything was exceptional. It was also nice that the food at the restaurant, Proof, and for room service, was well priced and delicious...the golf at Toon Pinnacle was better than world class! One of the most beautiful places I have stayed in the world."

"Attended a meeting and was very pleased. Was able to enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the pool and got great service. The jacuzzi was warm but not too hot. The main pool was perfect for relaxing. Our room looked out into the valley and the fireplace was wonderful when it was a rainy Saturday morning. The bathroom was very well laid out. The tub was large and comfortable. The glass window allowed a view out over the balcony so you could enjoy the valley view. The bedroom was large and two closets. Very nice when my wife had been travelling for a week. The room attendants seemed to be in the room frequently to provide service and touch ups. The bell staff was friendly and was full of useful information. Particularly Andy."
"I think this hotel is as advertised, the room was exactly what I expected. We had the terrace casita, and enjoyed the firepit and view of the mountain. The food in the restaurants was very good, and the outdoor restaurant was great in the Covid era because the outdoor tables are in one line on the outside of the patio and very spread apart. Restaurant table views of the mountains and city lights are very pretty. We appreciate that the staff was complying with Covid precautions, such as mask-wearing. The room upon arrival was also squeaky clean. This made our stay more worry-free. It was a great respite for a few days, the name of the hotel says it all!"
"I don't write many reviews for hotels, but Sanctuary deserves a good one. One unexpected bonus of Sanctuary is that it has a secluded feel as it's on the backside of Camelback mountain, but it's still less than 10 minutes from all the great Scottsdale restaurants. So plenty of good hiking nearby as well. Jade Bar has nice atmosphere and a perfect place to enjoy the sunset with a view of the Praying Monk on Camelback. Great house cocktails at the pool along with some delish guacamole. Never had an issue fighting for lounge chairs at the infinity pool. I'll be back."

"This VERY small and gorgeous inn is perfect for a girls weekend or romantic getaway. The rooms are all so nice and the service is wonderful. We stayed in the room called "George and Anna" and it was great. The hotel offers a large Smart water and Perrier water every day complimentary! Which was a huge deal in the heat of AZ. They let us put our luggage in the manager closet even though no one was there and they werent open yet, which was so nice. The only negative thing I can say is that I am pretty sure someone from housekeeping snagged my apple watch - We left super early (before 6am) that morning and when I got the airport I realized I had left it. I called when we landed at home, and they left note, but I never heard back. Then I emailed awhile later and they said they never found it, but I could see it still pinging on the location of the Inn through the "Find my iPhone" app. Then a day or two later it was erased from my apple account. I would still recommend the hotel, but just dont leave anything haha. Also - the restaurant next door is amazing! Definitely try it. PS - dont go to the pool after a certain time because you have to walk through the restaurant to get there, which can be a little awkward in your swim suit."
"My boyfriend booked a room here for me and my friend to have a nice girls weekend in mid December. The location can't be beat! It is a very short walk to so many shops and restaurants that you could never get bored. We took the bikes to breakfast and shopping our last day there and had so much fun. It is a quick, cheap car ride to a few different hiking spots and the most popular nightlife area, which honestly we could have walked to if we had coats and more sensible shoes on. The courtyard is very cute, and the restaurant on site was fabulous. We stayed in one of the brand new rooms upstairs with two beds. The beds were comfortable, the shower was large and the coffee/tea set up was great. The absolute only thing that wasn't perfect was a few times in the evening there was a sewer gas smell in our room, which I'm assuming probably had some connection to the busy times & water usage at the restaurant there. We were normally out of the room in the evenings but a few times when we popped back in we could smell it. It dissipated quickly and was never a bother for more than a few minutes, but it's probably something that should be checked out. Since it was a brand new room they probably weren't aware. I can't wait to come back with my boyfriend."
"I was remiss at not writing this review when we stayed here the first time. It is a stellar property. We had 4 rooms - “The Loft”, “Penthouse”, and a couple of other rooms. This is a true gem in the desert. Located in the heart of old Scottsdale, this hotel is a home away from home. The design is amazing - all of our rooms have claw foot tubs, and the loft and penthouse has full kitchens. Many restaurants and shopping, museums, etc walking distance. There are only 10 rooms here and all are fantastic. Did I mention the staff? Whatever we needed they accommodated. We always stayed previously at another resort but have since cancelled our reservations to stay at Bespoke Inn. Warning - they book up fast so don’t delay in making your reservations! You won’t regret it and can thank me later. :-)"

"Absolutely lived up to the hype. A great value-luxury resort. Upon early arrival at noon, we were offered a welcome drink and an upgrade from a Knoll room to a Saarineen King Bungalow suite for just $25/night. Plus it was ready right away. We had a huge bungalow steps away from the pool with a giant two-head shower that could fit a basketball team, and a private backyard. The bungalow is extremely cozy and relaxing. The property is lovely to walk around. The staff was so friendly and warm. The valet team is excellent. The cleaning staff is very nice and wonderful. The gym is B- for a hotel gym in terms of space and equipment - a few lower-end ellipticals and treadmills, some dumb bells, 4-5 weight machines. However on the plus side - amazing outdoor grass space + views, a rower machine, foam rollers and medicine balls. Very satisfied with the gym. The food is OK. Solid and convenient. Not worth planning your trip around. My only critiques: the staff at the pool was very nice but needs more resources. The service was very slow even though the pool wasn't particularly busy. This was consistent over multiple days. And I wish there was a more substantial bar at night, particularly had we been with a large group."
"Luxury and beauty in a gorgeous setting. The landscaping--oh my! Stunning views in every nook and corner and in every direction. A masterpiece of art, combining gorgeous landscaping and Mother Nature. And the beds: supreme comfort with amazingly luxurious bedding. Could have stayed in that bed forever! Loved those fire-pits and the wonderful Adirondack Chairs all over the grounds."
"Andaz Scottsdale is a beautiful property located at the base of Camelback Mountain. The all bungalow resort comes with all the amenities you are looking for. The staff provides a first class experience from check in, pool side, Weft and Warp and cocktail. They take care of all your needs. Andaz Scottsdale we will be back again. "

"Valley Ho continuously proves to be a top resort. The people who work there are always friendly and go way above expectations to please their guests. It is wonderful that ZUZU (restaurant) is open all day and their all day brunch is deliceous. Lots of great menu choices. New updated equipment in the 24 hr fitness facility is greal.Nice Spa. The pools & hot tubs are crystal clean. Weekend activities are posted on their website - lots of great information is found on the website about the hotel & what is happening in Scottsdale."
"Incredible stay. This hotel is truly unique and provided a much different experience than the typical hotel. From the valet greeting, to the front desk check in, to the concierge, to bartender - the staff was exceptional. The lounge area is very cool and makes for an easy hang out spot before heading out. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are fantastic and clean. As good as the rooms and the bar is, the real differentiating factor was the people. I won't ever stay anywhere else in Phoenix."
"Property is in old town and whether I'm visiting for business or leisure, I'd pick this one every time! It has a historical aspect of the city, which I love and the hotel is beautiful, clean, modern and rooms are so spacious! Outdoor dining spaces are my favorite, although the indoor fireplace in the lobby is quite warm and welcoming in the colder seasons too. Location is great, and I love the atmosphere!"

"We checked in on Friday evening, meeting Joe at the front desk. He explained all the activities avaiable including yoga Saturday morning on site. Tom was our bell hop who not only helped us with our luggage, he also showed us the property, and including where T. Cook’s restaurant and MIXUP lounge were located .The casita was fantastic! We loved how it was laid out with fireplace, very comfortable bed, well stocked Coffee and mini bar. The room was very quiet, which allowed use to sleep in longer than we should. (Oh well, maybe yoga on our next visit). Somehow they had my wife’s favorite macaron cookies waiting for us? Thank you Concierge. The resort is so beautify decorated and manicured, it’s a pleasure to walk around and enjoy. I can understand why weddings are so popular here. The great menu selections available at the T. Cook’s restaurant made picking our meal difficult, each item on the menu sounded delicious. Our choices were served hot in a reasonable amount of time and the presentation was especially appealing. Our servers Joi, Katie and also “Katie” in MIXUP bar, listened to our requests and exceeded our expectations with great service. Manager Javier, made his rounds checking on each guests to verify everything is to their liking. My wife and I had such a fantastic time. What a wonderful way to relax and de-stress. I highly recommend you come to experience the same pleasure as we did! "
"We celebrated two events this winter with short stops in Scottsdale and we adore the Royal Palms. I'm a Hyatt Globalist and this is why I switched from Marriott. Included breakfast at T Cooks is SO good. Anything on the menu compared to Marriott 'lounge access' or no breakfast at the Ritz properties. Free valet, waived resort fees - Hyatt gives you real value for all those nights by the highway at the Hyatt Place. The service, the rooms, the grounds - the grounds!, and the restaurant and bar are without peer in Scottsdale. Just don't come too much! We like our privacy but tip out hats to all of the Royal Palms team. We'll be back soon."
"Love this hotel, beautiful, cozy, interesting and fun. I highly recommend for family or a couples retreat. The history of the mansion and villas is unique. Set in front of camel back mountain gave us not only beautiful vista but hiking and biking options."

"After our daughter was engaged 12/21/18, we went into planning mode. There were a few things that were non-negotiable with us.The one “must have” was a venue for the ceremony and the reception celebration in the same place where the guest could also stay, eliminating any need for transportation. This was discussed and emphasized before flying to AZ 1/4/19. My daughter and I spoke with, and stressed the importance of this with Amanda. Although she was unable to meet us, she left us a beautiful brochure and plenty of information to make our way. We had been hopeful for a tour of the property and were ready to leave when the most kind woman sitting to the left just inside the lobby said she would be pleased to show us around. As we left the lobby she saw a golf cart that could accommodate our group to show us around. I’m certain the best things of interest come from these drivers who point out the many perks of the resort and share many interesting details. We left leaving a message with Amanda that we loved the venue and if we could be assured all of our guests could stay on property, we were ready to sign on the doted line. Here’s where what could have been an excellent review of the experience turns awful and becomes infuriating. We had preferred the presidential suite lawn for the ceremony but were told it would not hold our crowd. We inquired about renting the suite ($3000/night) but were told we could not rent the suite unless we were using the lawn which we had been told was too small for us. We inquired about using the chapel but were told we couldn’t use it without using the presidential lawn while renting the suite. We were pretty much told where we would be placed. The Valencia Lawn was beautiful although the space seemed much more than we needed and less desirable to us. In the last week of June we returned to Arizona to finalize all plans. We took care of arrangements outside of Omni and within Omni. Before leaving we discussed in detail, the wedding would be November 23 so naturally we would not send invitations sooner than September 15-October 1. We would need as many as 80 rooms but by your system we would have had to pay for all of the rooms for our guest simply to hold them until the guest actually received the invitation and were ready to handle that with us. Certainly not what we call “Southern Hospitality” a trait we pride ourselves on. On July I 15 we called to book all of the rooms we needed so far, with invitations having just gone out. We were told all rooms were booked. We had been on these grounds the entire last week of June at which time foreseeable accommodations should have been discussed. No problem was even discussed yet we and our guests were dropped from Omni’s rooms entirely. The whole hotel was now booked for an Omni International Convention. We no longer existed on the books. If you want to ruin a bride’s day, rip the carpet out from her and leave her to clean up your mess, great job!8She lost weeks of sleep "
"Located in Paradise Valley, this hotel has something for everyone. This stop seems best for a multi day visit so that you can enjoy the property. Numerous attractions, shopping, and airport within 20 minutes. Renowned spa, several pools, multiple high end dining and bar options, and fitness center. I was in a large room with balcony. Very well equipped. Comfortable. Bell team typically needs to drive you to your room due to expanse of the Montelucia. Easy Uber. Airport within 30 minutes. Hotel falls into the luxury category."
"The resort is gorgeous and wonderfully maintained. It is a calm and quiet environment with gorgeous mountain views. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The spa and fitness center were top notch as well."
