"Daddy, make sure you give them a 5-star rating is what she said. Everything was exceptional: Joy loved your breakfast, swimming pool, lobby, cleanliness of room and layout. I couldn't agree with her more; it had unbeatable price for the commodities it provided. Live music and bar area was spacious for sitting, dancing and enjoyment!"
"This Embassy Suites is one of the best I have stayed at and will therefore make it my go to during future trips to McAllen. Michael the bartender was an absolute joy. I was amazed at how well he kept up with a large demand for his service during the evening reception and managed to do so with great attitude and a smile."
"I love this hotel except this time we did encounter a bump on the road. I have been a Hilton Honors member since 2012 and usually ALL Hilton Honors hotels honor that but this one did not. I did not get my bag at entrance or in my room. I also took my kids to the pool where there were these three boys playing with a basketball in the pool and one of them hit my granddaughter and the other almost hit my son. I went to let management know and they never came to talk to the parent. I went back a second time and the receptionist asked me if I had talked to the parent myself. They were no help this time. A basketball shouldn't be allowed in a pool FULL of kids."

"The Marriott Residence Inn in McAllen Texas covered all their bases by supplying the greatest quality of service at the front desk and in housekeeping, great food for breakfast and supper on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, excellent amenities and friendly employees. At the front desk, Roberto is surely an asset to this establishment. We highly recommend this place to others and we will be back again to "swing our bats". Until next season......"
"This has been one of the best hotel stays I've had in a very long time! Super friendly, helpful staff and a beautiful, spotless room. And the bed was SO COMFORTABLE I slept so soundly! Also nice perk - they have Netflix on the TVs in the room so you're not stuck with local programming. Cannot say enough about this hotel - highly recommend!"

"SUPERB!. Everyone in the front desk was very friendly and had a genuine smile when I was greeted. The person in the front desk called me right away when they found that i had drop my Drivers Licence. Anita from Housekeeping, in my opinion was the Best! by going the extra mile, talking and building a relationship with the customer. Making this place feel like home and more desirable for my next stay."
"Stayed W-S nights for CBU v UTRGV Baseball. CBU baseball stayed there. Clean, good parking. Had kitchenette, nice. No Ice machine 2nd floor. Thin walls, could hear upstairs tromping floor. Friendly staff. Helpful. Many cleaning room could not speak English, but tried to respond to requests. Discounts for seniors, education. Free breakfast was changed up a little each day. Plenty and good. Good juice selection. All ball players enjoyed it. Inside/Outside area around bar. Less than a mile from interstate and 281. About ten minutes to UTRGV baseball field. Hotel is sponsor of UTRGV events. Motivated to please teams and supporters visiting."
"My boyfriend and I stay at this hotel every time we come to town to visit his family. We love this hotel so much that if it’s booked up we postpone our trip. Very clean and staff is always very friendly!! I’ve never been disappointed with our stay. Cute little bar in the lobby is nice to grab drinks at!"

"We travel a lot and stay at Hampton Inn's most if not all the time. This one I would get 5 stars for location, 5 front desk and lobby. 3 stars Breakfast was just ok. The room only 2 stars... had no refrigerator nor a microwave?! We always seemed to have at other locations?! Plus we stayed for days this time! And what bothered Us the most was how Bad the lightning was. Not good for reading And the lampshades were So Dirty & stained! Need to be replaced! Took pics of the lampshades but not going to post but management should Checks out room #206 !"
"Hotel is very clean and old furniture that was there has been replaced. In all a very good hotel. Small things are that coffee supplies are usually missing after housekeeping, Refrigerator plug was left unplugged for 8 hours by housekeeper and there are no soda vending machines on fourth floor. minor problems but inconvenient, especially when one stays on the fourth floor."
"Good hotel, clean rooms; attentive and friendly staff. Good basic breakfast as at all Hamptons w/ good coffee/tea, pstries, fruit, cerelas and hot items. Close to the border with Reynosa, MX. I recommended it for all types of travellers."

"In the past years, while visiting McAllen, we have always stayed at the Courtyard and have had pleasant experiences. To our suprise, this time it was a miserable stay. After a 5 hour drive, a hot shower was in order. But, the bathtub was filthy, as was the baseboards, the sliding door and all the edges. As far as the vanity sinks, one of the sinks had a foul odor and one of the soap dishes was not cleaned. Secondly, the countertops and dressers and flat screens were very dusty. Since we just stayed one evening, I overlooked the issues and hoped that it was just an oversight and someone would return to clean the bathroom as we stepped out for dinner. But it didn't happen. I kept positive and was looking forward to the breakfast in the morning. The waffles were quite amazing. The eggs and sausage were disgusting and the buffet spoons left a very messy aftermath on the serving table. Perhaps, pastries, waffles, and yogurt should be the only items offered. It was also advertised on the website that a cocktail bar was available, but it was no longer in operation. It was a very disappointing experience. I hope all these issues are addressed for future guests."
"When I arrived there was a Manager's reception welcoming guests! Wine and beer included! Nice snacks, too. The hotel has a beautiful lounge, really friendly staff, and is close to just about everywhere. I really liked my stay here."
"The check in folks were nice. Room old...but serviceable. Bistro staff really good. It was a 5 minute walk to the mall which was really nice. I'd stay again...gym ok too. Nothing to get excited about but certainly not horrible. Walls and windows thin though - people talking at the pool late into the night and i heard it all."

"My husband and I made a quick getaway to McAllen for the weekend. We chose this hotel for its prime location. Everything about our room was outstanding. Every detail was thought of, from our small kitchenette (which had a refrigerator and freezer, coffee cups, drinking glasses, and actual utensils), our spacious restroom to our spacious living area. My husband and I forgot to pack our shampoo and body wash but no worries....our shower came installed with shampoo and body wash dispensers. Neutrogena is the only brand I use and can use and surprise to me, that's the brand Hilton uses. It's as if they knew everything about me. I know that's impossible but it's the small things such as that, that made our stay extremely pleasant and unforgettable. The only downside was our trip was not long enough. But we will be back very soon, most definitely."
"I rented a room for state chess tournament for my daughter. At first I was bummed that the embassy suites were booked. But once we walked in the staff was freindly, rooms are super nice and homy. If I had questions or needed extra toiletries Napoleon in the fromt desk would answer them & get me what i needed. Would recommend 100%"
"Home 2 suites has excellent service! They have exceeded my expectations...Super clean rooms, friendly personalized guest services and the best staff. Special thanks to Napoleon and Yoli for your friendliness and hospitality!"

"My husband and I were visiting my sister who lives in the Valley. We stayed three nights during the week in July. Check in was easy. Greeni checked us in, and she was really friendly. She even let us check in about an hour and a half early since the room was ready. The hotel and our room were very modern, and I loved the art and decor! We had a room on the fourth floor. Our room was very neat and tidy. The bed was comfortable, and the bed sheets were very soft. We paid for premium wifi (though regular wifi is free), and it was quick enough for what we needed it for. The tv channels were plenty although I wish there was an actual guide to tell you what is on at that time. The walls are kinda thin, so you can hear people opening and closing doors out in the hall quite easily. The hotel is off from the road, so noise traffic is pretty much non-existent. The black out blind is amazing, and it kept the room dark all morning until we decided to open it. I will say that the snack area by the front desk is very overpriced. My husband bought a Dr Pepper, and I bought a Smart Water. Together, it came to $12.99 for just those two items! Later, I bought a small bag of chips and an individual thing of salsa which came to $7. I know hotel's charge more, but this was definitely the most priciest! At one point, I noticed I had been charged twice for the incidentals fee hold. I went down to the front desk and was assisted by Fabian. Fabian was really nice, and he got it taken care of quickly. He was always saying hello each time I'd see him. Jayson was another FDA who was also very nice and friendly. Jayson and Fabian helped us find a restaurant to get food from when it was after 11pm on a Sunday. Greeni checked us out the day we left, and again, she was really lovely and nice. The two housekeeping ladies I saw were also really nice. One thing I didn't like was that the soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are all in squeeze bottles hanging on the wall. They pour out incredibly slowly while squeezing them. Plus, it's really hard to squeeze if you have arthritis in your hands or just pain in your hands. Be prepared to squeeze for awhile if you have long hair and if you want enough soap for your whole body. The soaps do smell nice though. Breakfast was from 6am until 9am each morning. The first morning of our stay, my husband went down and got himself a coffee. They had sausage biscuits, cereal, and a few other things. The next morning, he went down around 8am, but all the food was gone, so I guess it's best to get there before 8am to ensure you get breakfast. We didn't do breakfast the other mornings. I liked how this hotel has a pool table for people to play as well as board games in the lobby. I thought that was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this Tru hotel. The staff are very down to Earth, and I just love the ambiance of the hotel. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the Valley."
"Tru is a more basic Hilton property, but this one has everything one needs for an overnight visit and is exceptionally clean. I love their environmental soap/shampoo/lotion dispensers. It’s interesting to see the reviews complaining about the blinds. Like most hotels, there is a sheer blind and a blackout blind. With the latter closed, I slept in until 9:30 in total darkness!"
"My family of 4 stayed for the weekend at this location, staff was friendly, place was clean, and beds were comfortable. The pool table and lobby games made it a great kid friendly environment. We would definitely stay again. "

"Business travelers will no doubt find the hotel convenient and comfortable. The nearby convention center, plenty of shopping, and various dining options within a short walk means many will not even have to have a car when staying here. Mission Regional Medical Center is a five-minute drive, and of course you can hop on Interstate 2 (US 83) to be practically anywhere in the Rio Grande Valley in short order. I hit a few bumps at checkin, as the desk clerk must have been somewhat new and not 100% familiar with protocol and other details. Nevertheless, the rest of my stay was relatively flawless. During the first two days of my stay one of two elevators was broken, and during the first evening, the internet service was unavailable. The property is clean and modern. The staff were all very friendly. I usually don't bother to write about the breakfast offerings at these and similar Marriott properties. If the usual line of scrambled eggs, waffles, yogurt, fruit, etc. don't tickle your fancy, any of several other nearby restaurants can probably meet your needs. I recommend SpringHill Suites for its convenient location, central to both McAllen and Mission."
"This hotel was a pleasant surprise, the room quality was very good, with the rooms having a fresh and relaxing appeal. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom space was outstanding. My overall sleep quality was nice and the room was nice and quiet. I was on business and was able to use the large conference room. The breakfast service is average but still satisfactory. Overall good stay"
"I want to thank the front desk assistant Alma for being so helpful during my stay for Thanksgiving. It was a long drive to visit family in Mission Texas and Alma was very friendly & understanding. She didn’t rush you & just hurry us away. I had a newborn traveling with me. She also gave us the breakfast times. Thank you Alma!!!"

"Traveling is a bit of a trek these days so it is pleasant to find a hotel that actually makes it enjoyable. The staff was very helpful and well mannered. The amenities were many and added to a relaxing experience. The breakfast was good and different each morning. The staff who prepared it was always making sure that there was enough of everything. Centrally located to malls and transit routes. Thumbs up and recommend to anyone visiting McAllen."
"Booked in advance for a place to stay on hunting trip. Pleasantly surprised as room was very spacious and clean. Parking lot was well lit. Breakfast was pretty good. A grand slam bargain for the price. Employees were more than helpful for recommendations of eats, and very hospitable. "
"The hotel is good for the price. There were a few minor issues. There was a hole poked on the inside of the bathroom door. Also, the bath had a fairly strong mildew smell, as if there had been a water leak unattended. The breakfast buffet was good, but the staff should keep the entree food warmer a bit higher. The food, while tasty, was only slightly warm. Other than these items, I had a nice stay."
