"We stayed at the Bell for Christmas Day 2019 after a rather hectic search when our stay at the George in Rye was cancelled last summer due to the fire (yes I'm writing this review a bit late!) From the moment of booking right through to Christmas lunch and the stay the staff couldn't have been more helpful and empathetic. We arrived just before our lunch was booked and checked into the room which had been turned around early so we could leave our dog there. Lunch was amazing, we have eaten out a few times on Christmas Day now and this was the best meal we have had by far. The chef was very accommodating with our son's menu and we all had a lovely lunch. I've not tasted roast potatoes like it!! We didn't feel rushed at all and stayed until the end of the session. We had ordered the packed tea for the evening and this was brought to our room later on in the afternoon. The room itself was cozy and well laid out with lots of area for storage (if you need it) and a big free standing bath. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was lovely too with lots laid out and a choice of continental and cooked food. Once again the service was fab. The only small downside was the bar closing early meant we couldn't venture down in the evening for a drink. I totally appreciate this is Christmas Day but maybe just an hour in the evening might have been nice to grab a drink - we had brought our own wine but hadn't thought of soft drinks. There was plenty of water in the room. This didn't put us off our stay and being dog friendly made all the difference. We're already thinking of booking again for this year!!"
"As the Mum of Helen & her fiancee Luke I would like to express my sincere thanks to Tessa the Wedding Co-ordinator at The Bell. They were to be married on 2nd April but unfortunately had to postpone due to the issues surrounding the coronavirus. Tessa was hugely supportive & the whole event was transformed from a Spring to a Winter Wedding within 24 hours. In addition I would like to thank the suppliers of the cake, flowers & hair/make up artist recommended by The Bell for their understanding & cooperation. They all managed to transform a difficult situation into an exciting event to look forward to again! Many thanks once again. x"
"I took my mother and sister and brother in law for supper early yesterday evening. I live locally and struggle to find a decent pub to eat in that is accessible for my disabled Mum. I thought we would try The Bell as I haven't been for years. The restaurant area is nicely set up with plenty of space around the tables which is good. The staff are polite and helpful. The prices are on the expensive side for this area £25 for ribeye steak and chips but if the food is good that is ok. 3 of us had fish and chips and one of us had the burger which he enjoyed. Unfortunately the fish and chips was not very nice. The chips were the size of big wedges and quite dry and the fish was a bit overcooked. I did point out that I didn't like the chips to one of the waiters when he asked if we enjoyed out food. He didn't really seem concerned. We also had the chicken thighs to start which were ok and the soup which was enjoyed. So for the price we were disappointed, such a shame as we would love to have made The Bell a regular eating place when my family visit, but I won't be back."

"Just had a 2 night stay @ One Warwick Park. 10/10 & everything about the hotel was just amazing. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, the staff were just so amazing & friendly & couldn't do enough for you. We had a drink at the bar 2 night running & the atmosphere of the bar area is just chilled & very relaxing. The decor is modern & just fantastic. The barman was amazing as well. We ate in the small hotel restaurant on Tuesday night & the the 2 staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely & tasty as well as was the red wine. The deluxe room was immaculate & clean. Very good sized room & big bathroom with bath & rain shower in the bath. The room is very modern & just tastefully done. We had breakfast for our 2 day stay. We had our breakfast cooked to order & how we wanted it. There is also a continental choice to choose from. The breakfast was tasty & kept us full most of the day. Once again the chap who took our breakfast order was friendly & couldn't do enough for us & also remembered who we wanted our breakfast the following day. Once again when we checked out the staff were amazing. The hotel is very modern inside, but has the amazing old Royal Tunbridge Wells charm outside. We found everything about our stay friendly & comforting & were very sad to leave Thursday morning."
"Stayed here in the Deluxe room 105. Perfect room, very spacious and huge comfy bed. The bathroom is huge and the rooms looks out onto Warwick park. This hotel is very well maintained and exceptionally clean. The staff are always smiling and friendly. The newly decorated bar is a great addition and the cocktails are great. I had a bramble and a Tom Collins, wife had a strawberry Bon Bon, all perfect. Breakfast on the terrace was great, full English with good quality sausages and perfectly cooked poached eggs. This is now the only hotel we will stay in when in Tunbridge Wells. To sum it up: perfect ambience, clean, modern, great restaurant..... what’s not to like about this place. Well done Warwick park. Hopefully be back soon!"
"My boyfriend entered into the prize draw on the instagram page and we were lucky enough to win! We had a warm welcome at reception and had Prosecco waiting for us in the room. The room was very clean, comfortable and very pleasant. Even had a complimentary breakfast. Thanks to Ruth at reception for being so friendly. Would high recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Tunbridge Wells. Thanks again One Warwick Park, we will definitely be returning "

"I am not saying this hotel has a damp problem but the concierge was wearing a wet suit.I have heard of underground parking but never underwater parking.I said 'Where can I park my van?' He said 'Next to the first Uboat on the left sir.....Neptune will show you the way!' I asked where the nearest bank was and he sent me to a sand bank!I wouldnt mind but I even had an overdraft with them! I went to my room and I thanked the cleaner for running me a bath. She said 'Ive not run you a bath.... The bloke in the room upstairs is having a shower!' The Man from Atlantis moved out of this place because its too wet! I put the telly on and Rising Damp appeared.....not on the telly....behind it!!! When I wanted to look out of the window I had to use a periscope and leave the room via a sub hatch! The only hotel with a water damaged fire alarm!! They dont have wifi in here...its all done by sonar! In the restraunt a customer asked for fish. The waiter said'Cod,haddock or hake? the customer said'Can I have the one that was swimming past my bed last night,It was keeping me awake!' I asked for a pint of Thatchers Gold and the only thing they had was Thatchers Mold. I said 'what are you gonna do about these mushrooms growing on my bathroom floor?.....The chef threw a steak on em! This place is called Hilden Moor.....its should be called Hidden Moor so nobody can find it. A maffia boss called in before and I said something to offend him. He said 'one more crack like that and you will be sleeping with the fishes!' I said'i already am!' I even told my ex not to stay in this place so it must be bad!!!! Good evening."
"Although we had not visited this particular PI location and we weren't disappointed with what greeted us. The usual standard we have come to expect with Premier Inn locations throughout. The only problem experienced we experienced was the room was very cold on arrival but but this was very quickly resolved with the help of the member of staff from the reception desk. It is very clear that a great saving can be made by booking well in advance as we saved at least £30 for the two nights for pre-booking a couple of weeks in advance. We rechecked the prices a couple of nights before we were due to visit and they had risen quite a bit. So book early and save, even by booking with the 'Flex' option."
"Not stayed at this premier inn before but are seasoned premier inn guests Greeted by a very friendly front of house staff Asked for extra pillows as due to Covid you only get two offered a choice two delivered to the room The room was nice and clean overlooking the car park at the front but very quiet All the staff were friendly We ate in the restaurant and have gone a separate review We will be back "

"We were introduced to this lovely cosy wee inn by friends and travelled over 35 miles deep into the Kentish countryside for dinner but it was well worth the effort. Obviously recently sympathetically refurbished, there was a lovely friendly welcome followed by a relaxing drink in comfy chairs and a very interesting menu. Our various starters were perfectly cooked devilled kidneys, tempura prawns and a smoked mackerel pate accompanied by home-made bread. Excellent. Mains included cod loin with tiger prawns, roast belly of pork and steak & kidney pudding. My rump of Welsh lamb came with a red wine & mint sauce and was tender and perfectly cooked (an alternative to green beans would have suited better but that's a personal thought). Desserts were delicious - home-made syrup sponge pudding and chocolate & caramel tart, though our partners decided to miss that course - but they enviously watched us polish them off with delight! Service was brilliant, attentive but not intrusive; the atmosphere calm and relaxed. Approximately £40 per head including pre-dinner drinks and a bottle of wine - what great value. We'll certainly be back!"
"We loved our two night stay here .Lovely welcome and so friendly throughout our stay .The bedroom was comfortable and had all that we needed. The food was really outstanding.Superb belly pork and calves liver accompanied by terrific beer and wine .All very good value .We liked the overall ambience and the fact it was a proper pub also with an adult feel .Would definitely return . Roger and Sara Mitchell"
"We visited this cosy little pub for Sunday lunch. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The portion sizes were generous and the food was tasty. My only complaint would be the vegetable choice that came with the roast dinner. You’d expect your classic veg like broccoli, carrots and cauliflower, but it came with roasted Mediterranean vegetables such as aubergine and red pepper which didn’t really suit the meal. Shame as everything else was great. Would definitely visit again. "

"I paid £33 for a double room. It was great. Friendly lady at reception when I checked in. The room was fine. The bed was comfy. Everything was clean. For a one night’s stay, and at that price, I couldn’t fault it. Had a drink, and breakfast the following morning, in the adjacent Beefeater; and that was good too. As Beefeaters go, this is one of the nicer ones. "
"We have stayed at this PI quite a few times now whilst visiting family in the area. When we last stayed a while ago now we stayed for 5 nights. Whilst there we had an issue with lukewarm bathwater. I love a really hot bath and one of the reasons we love PI is because of the decent size tubs The complaint was dealt with but not solved. The reason being given that due to health and safety reasons hot water at all PIs is now set so it won’t scald. I believed this at the time but having been to a few since realise that this was rubbish. We have just stayed again and the water is still lukewarm. The reason I have gone on here to complain is that head office/complaints procedure did not give me a satisfactory answer before and now I would just like to know something has been done before I return I know this is a first world problem and seems petty but I am more upset about the being fobbed off and lied to more than anything else"
"This hotel is poor from start to finish. My parents are in their 70's and when we arrived at the hotel we weren't acknowledged by reception for at least ten minutes, whilst a man in front stood to the side sorting things out on the phone. The receptionist didn't make eye contact at all!! Really rude. On the first night I had to put my parents on the bus as there were no taxi's and I was worried they had missed their stop. I called reception to ask if they called call their room because the signal their is completely out thier on EE and I couldn't get their mobiles( even with their free wifi!!) The woman said I haven't seen them come in, telling me about her long working day and there's no phones in the rooms but there was no concern or any offer of help. I said could you go to their room pls, I'm really worried and their phones have gone off.. the woman was huffy and said well are u calling me back then or what in a rude manner!! The restaurant is not a usual buffet , but again miserable staff who don't want to acknowledge you for ages if they can help it, and then rude when they do. The (£10!) breakfast order is taken and it makes u feel uncomfortable as the guy is like how many rashers do u want like he's doing you a favour...... its the manner in the hotel. It's unfriendly and unhelpful!! I met only one nice woman in the whole hotel in the restaurant!! . To top of this we couldn't get the heating to work and the women flounced in the room, (the same women from my previous phone call as it turned out) and flipped 3 different switches (which have no instructions in the room) and had to be called out twice as it kept going off and she says it does go on and off!! I also forgot that the first day I tried to to call out in reception for directions for a long while whist one girl obviously not working stood in the doorway smiling at someone who couldn't be bothered to get up. Unbelievable. People are paying money to be treated like dirt in a hotel!! I am a local and I will definitely be recommending people NOT to stay in this cold miserable " Hotel"."

Mount Ephraim, Royal Tunbridge Wells, East Sussex, United Kingdom
"We have been visiting the Spa hotel for the last 17 years and have always had a wonderful time, and our most recent stay was no exception. This was our first visit to a hotel since lockdown and we were very pleased to see that Covid 19 prevention procedures were fully in place and we both felt safe. We had a very nice room of the cosy deluxe class – clean, comfortable and a good size with plenty of storage space and enough room for a sitting area with two armchairs and coffee table. Although the room faced the road at the front it was not noisy as the hotel is set well back from the road. The bed was comfortable and we both slept well. The hotel is over 200 years old and part of its charm is that not all rooms are identical which, in my opinion, adds to the interest value in that each stay can be a little bit different. However, the official pictures shown in the hotel’s website give a very good indication as to what the various rooms look like within each category; indeed, we have usually been able to spot our latest room in the gallery photos. The staff continue to be a real credit to this hotel; it is so nice to be treated as ‘old friends’ when we return, the personal touch is most appreciated. Service from all staff was excellent irrespective of whether they knew us or not. Currently Zagatto’s bar & restaurant is closed and meals can be taken in the Orangerie instead – a sensible move in my opinion since this room is much larger and enables all tables to be very well spaced. The Orangerie is a very pleasant room with delightful views over the grounds. We had dinner and breakfast here, the food was delicious and we both enjoyed our meals. On hearing that we were celebrating our anniversary we were treated to a complementary glass of champagne each, plus a little extra desert with Happy Anniversary piped onto the plate – a very nice touch and much appreciated, thank you. Whilst at the hotel we used the swimming pool, although it is not large it is certainly big enough to exercise in. Currently one needs to book a time slot to use the pool in order to limit numbers to keep it Covid safe. It is possible to book a time slot prior to arrival. You will need a £1 coin (returnable) to operate the lockers. Towels can still be picked up at the Leisure Club reception area. There is also a gym, but we didn’t use this so cannot comment upon it, but think it likely that you will need to pre-book a time slot to use this. If the weather is good one can also enjoy the hotel’s lovely grounds. It is pleasing to see that the owners of the Spa are still investing in the building and grounds. We note that since our last visit a number of new, easy access parking places have been created and the Chandelier restaurant is currently undergoing a major renovation. It’s a good time to do such works whilst the current pandemic is limiting trade. Overall, we had a lovely stay and hope to return in the not too distant future."
"To celebrate the new year, I booked this wonderful hotel, which I'd stayed before, for my 2 children. I wasn't feeling well already when I came to help with the checking in and thought I'd stay in their room to rest for a bit. However I got worse very quickly and my children had to take me to the hospital and asked the reception lady on duty that evening to help order a taxi. She was very kind to come up to the room to see how I was and later got me a wheelchair. I ended up staying at the hospital for a few days. When I was discharged the hotel was very kind and had a spare bed for me in my children's room so they could take care of me. I'm very grateful to the thoughtful reception lady who helped me on the late evening of 2nd January, and the kind personnel who allowed a spare bed for me to stay in my children's room on 7th January. Thank you very very much. The hotel is very elegantly decorated, the housekeeping team does an excellent job of keeping the hotel rooms and other areas sparkling clean, the reception and lobby lounge personnels are alway warm and friendly, and we love the beautiful garden too. Hope we'll get the chance to dine in the hotel restaurant in our next stay. I highly recommend this hotel."
"Parking is outside and easy. The hotel is lovely stayed for work. Room was an exec room really big and big bathroom. The restaurant for dinner and a different one for breakfast were both excellent with excellent service and good hot food and massive choice. I just had boiled eggs they were lovely. In the room they provided a teapot and cup with saucer all bone china which was a lovely addition. The bed linen and curtains were top quality and an excellent nights sleep. My only reason for dropping to 4 stars was at lunch on the day I left. We ordered tea & I asked count I please order a pot of hot water I explained I’m on a diet and wanted to add the hot water to my instant pot meal. I explained I was happy to pay for this. To which the lady ( long dark hair with an accent I’m unsure of ) stated I couldn’t eat anything that I hadn’t bought off them. I didn’t feel this was good customer service , I felt the response a little harsh in tone. Also I felt she could have asked if I had would put it in one of their bowls to disguise it and add a small charge as I stated I was on a strict diet. I will return for an overnight as it was a lovely hotel I would like to see a little flexibility / understanding from staff that way I would give it 5 star. "

"Firstly I’d like to say i arrived late and the girl was so welcoming, openend the side door for my ease, helped with my bags and took me to the car park. So friendly I did not have an evening meal here but i did get breakfast include - it was limited but certainly enough for breakfast. The room was quite high up and no lift, some may struggle to get up all the floors. The room was very quaint - nicely decorated with a few old style pieces but the room tilted, my only gripe my make up kept rolling off the cabinet. The downstairs decor in restaurant was so pretty and unusual with cherry blossom hanging from the centre light and a flower wall- lovely pretty touches. I would imagine in the summer this would be a hugely popular place to eat and stay"
"Two couples stayed here for a couple of nights - the rooms (11 & 20 I think) were very good (overlooking the Pantiles area - i.e. front of hotel). The staff are brilliant - not just the service but local knowledge too. Breakfast was glorious as was lunch we had one day. Only gripes - overhead shower didn't really get hot. Outstanding feature - the reception area is PINK with roses, blossom and neon but really comfortable. Not a gripe but just to make people aware - the car park is a couple of minutes walk away and you need to cross a relatively busy road."
"I have stayed a couple times now and the staff are very friendly. The food was cooked perfectly. The rooms are spacious and clean. No complaints, I will be returning again this is my go to hotel in TW "
