"Amazing hotel, literally takes you away from the street into a transformative environment. The rooms are beautiful, as are the bathrooms - lots of space, very palatial. I recommend going to the rooftop bar, it is slightly expensive but the experience is worth it. "
"The favorite hotel on this trip. Outside is a typical European architecture, the hotel style is European style. The club scenery on the 7th floor is not bad, so the bartender made a Singaporean commander to drink very well."
"It’s very convenient to go to Selfridge, just around the city center, it’s very quiet, breakfast is good"

"The style of the room is retro, pretty good, the toiletries are great, and there is a refrigerator. But the top-level swimming pool is very small, only two or three meters long. No one really goes swimming. If you live in the pool, the price is slightly higher. There is also a sauna on the top floor, which makes it very comfortable to steam~"
"The hotel is convenient to kingstreet, eating and shopping are convenient, the 6th floor lounge is very good, very beautiful, 7th floor small hot spring, warm and delicate. Because Manchester University graduated to take a wedding dress, the front desk of the hotel deliberately opened a roof to take photos on it."
"Very good hotel, very distinctive, and the things downstairs are delicious"

8B Gateway House, piccadilly Station Approach, M1 2GH, Manchester, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom
"The location is very good, just above the Manchester City Railway Station, once you exit the station, turn right 100 meters and you will be there. There is an open kitchen with all kitchen utensils for cooking, which can save a lot of money. Near the hotel, there are many shops, small supermarkets, you can buy the necessary items and food, such as instant noodles, fruits, etc. "
"The hotel is located on the right side of the exit of Piccadilly’s train station. There are two free buses at the entrance of the hotel which provide direct access to the city centre. The transportation is convenient. There are restaurants and supermarkets in the train station and downstairs. The living needs are very convenient."
"Super corporate management...There are two detailed Coops and Sainsbury downstairs.. Isolated at Zhengda Station Piccadilly.. There is a police for a long time and it is safe.. It only takes 8-10 minutes to go to the large shopping mall in the city center."

"Living in the first floor, the interior decoration is very unsuitable for the Chinese. The bed shelves are carved up and down, left and right, and the characters on the side of the bed. There is also a large mirror on the side of the bed. The left and right sides of the hotel are all bars and restaurants. It will not stop before 3am, especially the sound of drumming, although the sound is not loud, but the rhythm is similar to the heartbeat, which seriously affects the rest. Fortunately, the front desk service attitude is still very good, but also presented early, otherwise the shadow area is bigger."
"Excellent downtown location at the heart of entertainment area. Stylish hotel with cozy ambience and tasteful interior decor. Helpful "

" Very happy overall with all aspects of our stay, our welcome by the team was made us feel at home immediately and nothing was too much trouble, the room was exceptional and an upgrade was a nice surprise, the overall feel of the hotel was 'Modern Cozy' which I liked very much, the Bull and Bear was more bistro than fine dining (the wine list was definitely fine dining though)but the food was good, the main course we had was a little over seasoned, but generally we did enjoy our meal, my wife was a little surprised with the TV's showing sport, but again Man Utd were playing and so I thought that may have been a nod to the owners, it did give a kind of a Sports Bar feel to the place, one that I was ok with. We had opted for a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast deal, and due to the Lockdown, breakfast was served in our room and was very good. The other great aspect of the hotel was it's location, which was literally a 5 minute walk from the main shopping area of the city. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a city break, it certainly ticked all our boxes"
"Stayed here for my partners birthday just before the 1st lockdown and on arrival we were surprised by its small entrance but once in the decor is beautiful and elegant. Checked in and told to wait in a room next to the reception where free champagne and treats awaited! Taken to our room and on arrival we were very happy. £300 per night gets you a large modern room with a freestanding bath next to the bed, nice! The location was, if being honest, a nightmare. Constant lorries loading up throughout the night at what seemed like we were on the corner of a main busy street( we couldn’t see much from the windows but once we checked out we could see the corner of the building where our room was) The breakfast was amazing in what I can only say is a colosseum of a room, magnificent. Loved the breakfast and made up for the very poor sleep. Overall, very nice hotel but leaving very tired was not what I wanted. Shame about the location."
"I am a regular guest in the Stock Exchange as I travel weekly to Manchester for business and I absolutely love the hotel! The accommodation is flawless and the service is exceptional. The staff have gone the extra mile on my last few stays with complimentary upgrades, fruit, sweets & a welcome card on arrival. It has been a pleasure to stay here during essential travel throughout the pandemic and I have always felt very safe with the measures they have put in place to protect guests as best as possible."

"Had an amazing relaxing time at this superb establishment, from stress free service with a smile at the welcome spa reception to an excellent service at breakfast, lunch and the evening dinner. The newly renovated spa facilities is one of the best I have visited in the north west. Even with the Covid situation, the establishment have done a great job in making sure their guests are safe and well looked after. All the facilities were open for the guests to enjoy with some useful health and safety signs. The room was very nice and comfortable, the hotel even left a swan sculpture made from towels and even a anniversary balloon. That was a very thoughtful and much appreciated. The food and service served at each time was of the highest quality, I especially enjoyed the evening dinner time with nice food and ambience. One of things my wife and I noticed was how hard all the staff work to make sure you have a good time, all have a smile and a soothing demeanour to make you feel at home. We will definitely will be coming back to enjoy the hospitality."
"We booked the day spa package, with lunch and 50 minute inclusive treatment and it was worth every single penny! The facilities were stunning and so clean, there was plenty of space and beds available around the pool, everyone was practicing social distancing and the staff were all really helpful. We had the 50 minute body scrub and massage which was amazing, one of the best massages both of us have had. Lunch was lovely, there was a choice of a set menu, and everything both of us chose was delicious and really filling. If you wanted an alcoholic drink with lunch, this was extra but soft drinks were included. We also got a lovely goodie bag with a robe and flip flops to keep which was lovely. The cafe and Spa shop are both great, with a huge selection of snacks/drinks and lovely products to buy too, so plenty of refreshments available or bits of shopping to do during the day if you wanted to. We will definitely be coming back, it was hands down one of the best spa days both of us have ever been on! Next time we are booking the nights stay!"
"The best ever stay at one of the nicest hotels. It’s grand. It’s posh (but welcoming) and the staff are so friendly. Me and my work wife stayed here and we had trouble with our booking and the lovely Beth was so kind to really set our worries at ease whilst she sorted out our rooms. I have to say that Beth was one of the nicest staff members I’ve met in the world!!! And then James and Joe at the bar really made me and my work wife laugh. Perfect bar staff mix of good cocktail making and chat. Toiletries are Elemis. Rooms spotless. Meals are superb! So you know: Drinks and food expensive. Expect London prices."

"Beautiful, spacious room with a lovely view. Modern and very clean. Lots of storage space in wardrobe and cupboard and shelves behind mirror (plus a safe). Nice big TV and good quality hair dryer. Safety seals on room door and TV remote to prove it had been properly sanitised and unused (COVID wise) and packets of antibacterial wipes were included in front of the TV. We had issues connecting to the wifi so went down to reception and the problem was quickly solved by a really helpful and friendly member of staff (unfortunately didn’t get his name). One of the bedside lamps wasn’t working."
"30 check-in service is very good, because the early arrival of the 4th floor, originally required high-level, it is no problem. The air conditioner in the house was not hot. I called in the past. No one came to solve it for more than an hour. Later we went out. The room came in. The box password was adjusted to 000. A box with the original password was opened. On the body, but the passive package is really disgusting. It turned out that there were staff members moving in the dormitory of Manda."
"The hotel facilities are very good, the rooms are very new and clean, only 10 minutes away from Chinatown, the only drawback is that the breakfast is too expensive, I have been reluctant to eat several times"

"This hotel is rated #1 in Manchester on Trip Advisor and they deserve it! Hotel: very very luxurious with every detail thought of (even down to detail in the lifts!), extremely clean, staff so welcoming and friendly, location is perfect near Piccadilly station, two car parks 30 seconds walk (£15 for 24 hours) or on-site parking too. We had a Signature Suite, huge bedroom/seating area, bed could easily fit 4 people in, lovely lit up wardrobe with plenty of space, desk/dressing area and also a sofa & chair and table, the suite also had 2 bathrooms! The air con worked amazing. Huge heavy wooden & glass oriental style sliding doors separated the different areas of the suite which was another touch of luxury not just basic doors. Room was extremely clean and had a ripping sticker on the door when waking in so you know it was freshly sanitised too. One bathroom had a free standing bath and dressing area and the other with a shower which was also a mini steam room with seat inside and heated flooring. Everything was thought of - room included Bulgari toiletries and Dakota toiletries (both great quality and triple the size of other hotels toiletries), slippers & robe, Nespresso machine & pods, regular coffee packets & tea too, complimentary stocked mini bar, full Sky TV package. I believe the complementary mini bar and robes are only in the Suites but available on request, either way this wouldn’t make or break the experience! In the morning we had breakfast delivered to our room (Tier 3 when visiting so restaurant was closed for dining in) we paid £15pp and had huge tray of food brought to us. 2x everything - sausage sandwiches, fruit pots, croissants, pain au chocolats, granola with yoghurt and orange juice. It’s like the breakfast buffet came to us. Would highly recommend staying in this hotel if you are visiting Manchester!! We will definitely be coming back once restrictions are lifted so we can experience the Dakota restaurant & grill and stay over again. "
"We had a brilliant time celebrating my husband's birthday here. The staff were fantastic and attentive from start to finish. We entered our room to see a lovely surprise for my husband. The room itself was just fantastic. Everything was of a high standard and the view from the room was gorgeous. We had a slight issue getting onto sky but after a call to reception it was fixed within 10 minutes. The location is perfect for many places and right next to picadilly Station. Or if you are driving down they have an amazing concierge service to support you. We will definitely be returning here again. Thank you for a lovely stay."
"Came here for my Birthday , the room was set with rose petals and balloons was really lovely and felt like the staff at reception were very welcoming and warm didn’t feel like anything was too much for them!! The hotel room was really peaceful too can’t hear anything from any other rooms we also had breakfast which was lovely and there’s plenty of variety to choose from ! Will definitely be staying again :) "

"We were allocated a room next to the lift and as we are both light sleepers I called reception to ask to be moved. This was so easy and well taken care of, someone came by the room with a new keycard for the quietest room they had, and directed us where to go. Great start. The room was clean, well decorated and had plenty of space. Lots of lighting options, big tv and excellent blakout curtains. The bathroom had two sinks and a heated floor - excellent touch! We briefly visited the spa which was very busy. There was plenty of chairs/loungers though which you don't always get at other places, but I wasn't keen on all the kids splashing around. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and I particularly liked the allergens labelling, very helpful. Cornflakes were gluten free which we've never seen at any other hotel and we've been to a few! Usually you'd have to ask which means making a bit of a scene and no one wants that at breakfast time. If I had to give a negative it would be the staff member behaving awkwardly near reception who gave me a card with his name on and asked me to leave a review mentioning that he'd helped me - but he hadn't helped me at all and I didn't need anything! Also, I think all the meekats might be a tad too much. Otherwise, it was a good stay and I would recommend. If we were ever in the area again and needed a bed for the night, we'd definitely come back to this place. Lovely grounds, interesting history."
"Myself and my partner stayed here for one night and it was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the deluxe double room overlooking the lake it was beautiful. The staff were amazing and so friendly and attentive, they honestly couldn’t do enough for you from the receptionist to the waiters at dinner and breakfast. We had dinner at the club lounge restaurant and it was beautiful. Very tasty and such good portion amounts! We had the most relaxing stay, it was a special occasion and they gave us a card and made Swans with rose petals on the bed. It was such a lovely touch. The spa was brilliant to, we went in the afternoon and also late at night when it was quite and it was very peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone for a fantastic and well needed break."
"Visited for a weekend for golf for the gents and spa for the ladies. Room was modern and spacious. Great attention to detail. Had breakfast both mornings, food in Browns both nights and grabbed some bites for lunch in the bar lounge. All meals were excellent and good service to go with it. The course was great and bearing in mind the awful weather we have had, was in a great condition. Loved the driving range, hitting into the lake. Just a shame my golf wasn’t in such a good shape. Too many individuals to mention that have great service over the break but Gary the GM has a team to be proud of. Looking forward to hopefully going back when the weather is better. Thanks for a great stay, Lee"
