"We stayed two nights, and loved it. We had a room with a partial balcony on the 3rd floor. The weather was nice, so we were able to keep the "door" open all night - such a welcome reprieve from being locked in with A/C, as in other hotels. (They do offer full balconies, as well as rooms overlooking the lake.) The bed was very comfortable - it felt like memory foam. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower, and separate tub. The breakfast offered (charged per item - plus tip) was convenient, and sufficient for a morning - ie. breakfast sandwich, bananas, hard boiled eggs, muffins, biscotti, juice, coffee, and few other items. (Note: allow about 10 mins for the breakfast sandwich). We didn't have a chance to use the pool or hot tub, as the open hours are dawn to dusk, and we returned too late. Also, the lobby bar closes at 8:30, as does the Lakeside Grill, and the Chophouse closes at 9:00. Roy's Restaurant, however, is open until 11:00. On Friday night, there was live music, and an outdoor bar (open late) at a gazebo on the property. And there was a farmer's market just outside the parking lot on Saturday morning. It was a fun place to stay, and we would definitely stay again."
"This place feels nicely upscale without being super expensive. It's attractive - sharing the same Tuscan villa style of the adjacent Promenade Plaza. It's very clean, and it's conveniently located. The Trianon is walking distance to wonderful shopping and dining, it is less than 10 minutes to both Barefoot and Vanderbelt beaches, and it's right off Tamiami. All staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Check-in and out were both a breeze. There's a pool and an open-air bar with light food, and a formal indoor restaurant called The Chophouse on site. Continental breakfast items are available for a reasonable fee, but consider walking across the parking lot for the best freshly baked pastries you will ever eat at a place called DeRomo's. On Saturday mornings they have a wonderful "farmer's market" with produce, baked goods, specialty foods and artisanal products. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return."
"The Trianon is so clean, friendly, lovely, safe, upscale, and relaxing! This was our second stay; and we weren’t disappointed! The room was spacious, clean, and lovely. The carrara marble large bath and huge walk-in shower with thick glass door, helped create a romantic, honeymoon vibe in our lovely room. Our dinner downstairs at the Olde Florida Chophouse was absolutely exquisite and succulent! The knowledge of the server David was impressive, the presentation memorable, and the value impeccable. Also, We were happy to enjoy views of hawks, turtles, and loons from our balcony! Such a magical and relaxing retreat! We highly recommend this well run hotel; and look forward to returning!"
