Overall, I was very satisfied. The surrounding environment is wonderful. It was very comfortable. The food was very varied and I never got tired of it for three days.

We have stayed here previously, and again now during the refurbishment. Both stays have been excellent. The hotel was nicely busy this time, and the staff were cheerful, helpful and efficient. The fish and chips is fantastic and the temporary dining room has been done out nicely with rustic wooden tables, comfortable seating and nice lighting. The views are outstanding and we look forward to coming again and seeing the results of the hard work happening now.

My cousin and I had an overnight stay here in June - we both took our dogs (Yorkshire Terriers) which had arranged with the Hotel when booking - the room was ideal as we had patio doors into the carpark. The room was clean and nicely decorated. There was a wedding at the hotel the evening that we stayed but the staff were most helpful and attentive even though so busy. A perfect stay and will certainly consider staying again

Had an excellent stay here on business last week. The team could not have done more to ensure I was looked after, comfortable and well fed! Thank you to David, Sarah and the whole team. The food and service was excellent at both lunch and dinner. Well cooked food, reasonably priced and efficiently served. I won’t have any hesitation in returning next month when I am back in the area. Well done to all involved.

We had a 3 course meal at The Wainstones yesterday and it was superb, excellent starter, one of the best parmo's I've had which is an accolade for this area, crispy not soggy bottom, great chips. Our deserts and others meals coming out of the kitchen all looked fantastic. Staff were attentive and so friendly and polite. All in all a very good meal and will definitely return Thank you

We booked bed/ breakfast for 2 nights. It was a buffet breakfast everything was on cereal fruit juice and hot food if you wanted anything extra the staff were only too willing to get it for you.
Lovely room big fluffy towels in the bathroom and complimentary toiletries. The hotel is only 3 year old very modern and clean. I would stay in in again for my next trip. Marlene Glasgow

In the area for business and stayed at the Stockton arms for just one night. Room was very well presented and in great location for the local area. Great local park to walk after a days work in a nice area outside of the main town. The Stockton arms itself has a large bar with all sports channels available but is far from a sports pub with a smart/casual dress code making it a good spot to relax and enjoy a night. For food go around the corner to the Masham the sister pub, the food and service is excellent

This was a lovely bed and breakfast above the pub in a nice area of the town. Continental breakfast. My suite was spacious, well cared for and tastefully decorated. It was really nice and I would stay again. Beyond breakfast there is no food on site but there are shops (including Coop) a short walk away and a very good food pub restaurant a short walk in the other direction.

It was an ok stay but for us we didn’t realise we booked when the football was on and the away fans had pretty much booked the hotel and to say it was noisy was an understatement.
Staff were friendly enough but didn’t ask us if we wanted Breakfast or if we had stayed there before so seemed pretty sub standard and not really that invested in what they were doing.
We had planned to use the pool but some local kids sneaked in and used it making it loud and unusable during our stay they were just causing problems and the hotel didn’t act.
This is the biggest failing the hotel fails to act we had loud guests door slamming music playing loud football fans going mad till 4am and nothing was done about it.
The beds were not that comfy as sadly neither of us had a good nights sleep on top of the noise by others the rooms offered no sound proofing.
No air conditioning which is crazy in this day and age and not even a fan in the room, when we asked for one we just got laughed at and told good luck with that by housekeeping.
This places lacks staff that care or take pride in their work.
The bathroom had no fan so when used steam went everywhere and the water pressure and temperature was terrible it wasn’t overly clean so couldn’t use the bath.
Only thing going for this hotel is it’s location but we wouldn’t use it again as the rooms need a lot of TLC and the staff need extra training more so on the communication front.
Upon check out we weren’t even asked did we enjoy our stay as we wanted to raise our concerns.

Stayed one night because of the marathon the next day. The staffs were friendly and procedures like Checkin are convenient. Great location, close to the station and hotel. However, the inability of the air conditioner to heat up made the room less comfortable. But I stillI had a good rest here and set a PB in the race the next day, so it was a good stay overall.

With a smile, and a flick of her hair behind her ear! She said, my food will be ready shortly! Would you like a coffee while you wait! No forget the coffee I’ll have proper drink. She pours the drink with style, almost as stylish as her name! Tia was ever lost professional and kept checking up on me whilst I worked in the car area. Kennidi, the blonde bombshell at the counter resolved a mistake from earlier that day, with a smile that would make any man weak at the knees!! Rest assured, I will be returning, next season when Birmingham are due to beat Middlesbrough once more!

The hotel is in a great location, it is close to Teeside University which is where we had an event to attend.
The staff is very nice and a lady called Katie at reception even let us check in early as the room was ready. This really helped us as we had a meeting at 1pm and the room would be the best place to have it.
