We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Mandarin Oriental Munich! The customer service was top notch and truly added to our vacation. Polite, intelligent, and efficient are ways to describe everyone we encountered at this hotel from emails prior to our trip to the front desk and the valet. We took advantage of the early check in and complimentary breakfast offered to MO members, which I highly recommend joining. Personalized service and complimentary mini bar, the value is definitely there. Also, the location is perfect. It is within walking distance of Marienplatz and the Hofbrauhaus. We just loved our time at this hotel! We hope to return in the summer so we can enjoy the lovely rooftop patio and small soaking pool. Thanks for such a lovely stay!!

This is easily one of the best hotels in the city. Friendly, personable experience, that went above and beyond to make our stay special, including for our 4 year old traveling with us. Dinner at Matsuhisa and afternoon tea in the lobby were perfect to top it off. The location is central to anywhere in Munich. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Our recent stay at the hotel featured two Deluxe Suites, each over 60 square meters and uniquely laid out with separate living rooms, bedrooms, and dressing areas. The rooms were tastefully decorated with fine details and a well-stocked, chargeable minibar. Notable amenities included custom coffee machines with milk foamer (rare find at hotels) and high-quality Marshall Kilburn sound systems. The suites only had one toilet, but the bathroom towels were plush and luxurious. Additionally, the light and curtain controls scattered around the room and were inconvenient to operate. The hotel's overall service was exceptional, particularly at the front desk and restaurant, with attentive staff and a welcoming atmosphere. However, housekeeping was inconsistent, often overlooking details like cleaning used cups and utensils during turndown service. Also, despite requesting room cleaning via WhatsApp, we returned in the evening to find that one of the suite was not serviced. The initial response from the staff was that the room had already been cleaned at 10 am, suggesting potential operational immaturity due to the hotel’s newness. Additionally, there were oversights in room service, such as occasionally forgetting to replace items like cups and towels. The dining experience was excellent, with all meals, especially dinner. Breakfast was also delightful, despite limited options. Situated in the heart of the old town, the hotel's location was perfect, within walking distance of major attractions and luxury shopping streets. In summary, the Munich hotel was impressive in most aspects, making it a top choice for travelers.

Just returned from an absolutely unforgettable weekend at Rosewood Munich. Everything at the hotel was beyond our expectations. The room was so beautifully appointed. Sheets, toiletries, towels, coffee maker, hair dryer (Dyson!!)—all 5 star. I really enjoyed all of the tasteful room decor, with special note of the beautiful bar cart. The bathroom was really stunning. We travel a lot and this hotel experience was by far top tier. The amazing bar with the jazz band, the beautiful restaurant, gorgeous lobby, cozy fireplace downstairs…hard to find a fault anywhere. The location could not be better, right in the heart of it all. Would highly recommend and looking forward to a return trip!

Hotel location is good, opposite the door is the botanical garden, there are children playing. Behind a small park is the Technical University of Munich, which is very large and beautiful and fully open. A few hundred meters from the hotel is Karlsplatz, and a short walk away is Maria Square, convenient for shopping.

New hotel, good location! The room is big! No kettle! Worth living! There is a park and a small children's playground at the door! A little railway station at the entrance, 1 km along the pedestrian street to Maria Square! well!

We are here now. Reserved 2 rooms to accommodate 4 people, one for 3 adults, the other for 1 adult. They brought us a roll away bed for the 3rd adult and when I asked the front desk, they said they had no rooms to accommodate 3 adults with 3 proper beds. (Then why offer it as an option?). We were offered to move to a larger room, for the larger price, but would still only get the roll away bed for the 3rd adult. Accommodations…..incredibly dissatisfied. Especially for a 5 star hotel. We were ignored, not exaggerating, when we pulled up with our vehicle. While trying to parallel park to unload, 2 employees stood joking around. A colleague stopped what he was doing, interrupted them, and all but got in their face to tell them to help us! At this point I was pissed! And mind you, i was outside of the car and they had no idea i was with the car……so i was witness to it all. They were kissing the feet of the others (who were not wearing sweat pants) and legitimately IGNORED us. I was PISSED. Not because I’m stuck on myself, but because it’s so true. If you don’t LOOK a certain way, especially at this 5 star hotel, YOU WILL BE IGNORED. Don’t hate on me for my honest review. Just know that if TRUE luxury is what you’re seeking, no matter what you look like or what you drive, you may have better luck down the road. It’s not here. Best of luck and let’s hope I’m one of the few who has had to experience this.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise. I think it is probably the best experience for the cost as any I have stayed in all over the world. The room was very nice. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get an upgrade with Amex special . The restaurants and bar food and service were excellent. The location is perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I was not familiar with Munich so location was an unknown.

Excellent service from concierge and reception despite Corona measures! Got an upgrade to a larger room. Unfortunately the hotel bar is still closed, but overall I was very happy with my stay.

Couldnt be happier with our stay. The hotel is in a great location near all restaurants and attractions. Walking disrance to everything made it even better. We had a suite for our famlly and it was a great size. The entire hotel was very clean and qell kept. The staff was exceptional friendly and so helpful. Would stay here again without a doubt.

The location is very good, right in the center. City sightseeing is by foot. Small and intimate boutique hotel with good service. The double bed is 1.6 meters, and the child's extra bed is 45 Euro/night, which is slightly more expensive.

We booked a 'courtyard deluxe' room, and were very satisfied: spacious, with an ample seating area, and super quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom also spacious, very clean, with high end toiletries. Munich suffered pretty hot weather during our stay, and the a/c was fully up to the task. We paid for in-hotel breakfast, which is somewhat steep, and were rewarded on the weekend with a impressive buffet, including unusual vegetable salads as well as smoked fish and the usual cheeses, meats, and fruit. The coffee was excellent. On the one weekday of our stay, there was no buffet: you ordered individual dishes, which were fine, although not perhaps good value for the price, The location is very central, and the Viktualenmarkt is fun to walk around, to buy provisions at, and to eat and drink in the beer garden.

This hotel is very conveniently situated in the old town of Munich Our room was spacious and very comfortable and well serviced The Munich bell could disturb some, but not us Our visit coincided with Gay Pride weekend and everything was very crowded and busy The only complaint we had was the reception staff were very unhelpful and said everything was booked out when we asked them to book us some tours They did not help at all We booked two great tours ourselves and had no issues with restaurant bookings The staff just didn’t want to help The terrace restaurant and bar are not worth the visit So good for room size and location, but no help from staff
