"Oh my god.... What a wonderful Stay...We regret staying only 1 day but still we were so happy that we chose this hotel(resort) Traveled as group of 14, took 3 apartments and each apartment was unique with a beautiful view.... Resort was with full occupancy(Parking was full :)) There are 2 options of parking.....underground parking(7 euros) and outside parking(3 euros) Rooms are big , are fully furnished, kitchen comes with almost all utensils, toaster, coffee machine(capsules to be purchased separately). There is kids room and also a play room( Dart, billiards , table tennis) Hotel is accessible only by car in my opinion and i would not recommend going there with a public transport. You get KONUS card with your stay where u can gets many perks. Also they give tickets(Free) for Indoor Spielplatz and Aqualino(Indoor Swimming pool. Check in was all ready.as hotel requested details in advance and we provided Names, etc so we had key ready for us and could do early check in 1PM for all 3 apartments. Reception was very efficient and also very happy to share recommendations. I would highly recommend this place..."
"The setup is good with service being friendly and clean rooms , plus activities to do. There is still room for improvement. The restaurant closes at 9p, way too early. Getting to the apartment is a fairly long walk, depending what your apartment is. The kitchen lacks a microwave and a dishwasher. DEFINITELY a MUST. Otherwise ok"

"We had a lovely stay at the Federwerk hotel. We had 2 rooms side by side because we have 2 kids. The rooms are spacious, very clean (the hotel is new, only 2 years). The staff was very kind and polite. We had a dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious ( we are french and the quality of the cooking is really important). Congratulation to The Chef! The breakfast in the Covid 19 environnement was very good, they had a very good process, very safe for the guests and the staff. All was perfect for out stay in this hotel. We will comeback in the coming years surelly."
"On a business trip and stayed for 1 night and would have stayed for a week, given the chance. Breakfast derved at your table, lovely views across a valley, sun shining, snow on the ground, great room, very modern, what more could you want"
"We had a lovely stay at this nice and clean hotel. The location is great, very near to Triberg. The breakfast is good and the rooms are very clean and spacious. The car parking is free for customers. I totally recommend this hotel!"

Haupstrasse 60, Tennenbronn, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"Traditional gasthof in the heart of the Black Forest, professionally run by the same family for six generations. The building has a light and airy feel with interconnecting dinning rooms. We were immediately made to feel welcome. Our room was spacious with an en-suite, a large comfortable bed and spotlessly clean throughout. For our evening meal we chose pork schnitzel and venison ragout, which was served by ladies in dirndls. And, although this might confirm one’s stereotypical view of Germany, it was nonetheless genuine and not just for tourists. Ingredients tend to be sourced locally. Apart from another couple, our dinning companions were a large German family group celebrating a birthday. And in the next room, another large German group, who broke into song at one point. A delight followed by a very restful nights sleep."
"The host is a very nice person. She offered various information to us about sight seeings and activities to do here in the black dorrest. The restaurant is good with a small menu. The beer ok. The room is clean and it is nice with an balcony "
"This is a nice, modern and very clean guesthouse in the black forest. Breakfast was just ok but not as good as in the other places we've stayed while in Germany. Avoid rooms facing the street. Has private free parking"

Klimschpark 1-10, Konigsfeld im Schwarzwald, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"Parking is ample. Breakfast was good. The staff was considerate, helpful and friendly. There are several buildings apart from the main building. It is a campus setup that must have been magnificent in its heyday (probably the 1980s). Now it is a bit rundown and needs some cosmetic work and renovation. The first night we were put in an outbuilding about 150 meters from the main building. Keep this in mind if you want to use the sauna - you will have to walk across a large gravel parking lot to get to the wellness facility. The room smelled strongly of cat urine or dog or body odor or something. It was either in the curtains or the carpet. There was no extra room available, so we had to suffer with this the first night (room 755 I believe). The staff was friendly and moved us the second night, down the hall, and the room didn't stink. The hotel appears to be in ongoing renovation, for example the shower and beds are new, but some things are old and cheap, like the carpet. The playground, for example, had some spring-riding toys that looked unsafe due to rust and age. The outdoor chess set was missing pieces. It is a magnificent setting, and I hope the owners are able to restore what must have been a magnificent hotel in better days. For what we paid, the hotel didn't meet expectations. I would have been ok with the quality had the price been more reasonable. The smelly room was unacceptable, it was really horrendous, and something I've never experienced in many years of travel."
"Nice and relaxing location for a short getaway. We stayed at the main building and did some walking on the trails nearby. Friendly receptionist and staff. Food served at restaurant was good and lots of breakfast options. Other reviews mention that the place is old, which it is and not necessarily a bad thing. I like how they try to preserve the cozy feel. "
"A group of 25 stayed a single night at this hotel. The main building was charming. However, I did not see the rooms. Our group had rooms in the side building. This building was isolated, and not worth visiting. We stayed on the top floor. The room was simple and clean. But not cozy or inviting. Consequently - we spent almost no time in our room. I would rate this room 1 or 2 stars. The only reason the hotel gets a 3 star is because the service was good. The main building was nice. Plenty of parking and the restaurant was fine. I would not avoid this place. But I also do not recommend it. "

Schloßstrasse 2,\N, Hornberg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"I’ve just arrived back from a 6 night stay at the Hotel my Home Hornberg. We arrived to a very warm greeting and were directed to our room which was lovely. The room was spacious with a large double bed and a huge Plasma tv screen. The Hotel has Sky Tv though unfortunately there weren’t many channels in English but we were still able to watch sporting events such as the Tour De France and Matchplay Darts. A kettle was provided for hot drinks and coffee was provided, aswell as Tea and bottled mineral water. The bathroom was of a good size too with a spacious walk in shower. The room was also very clean. Booking came with breakfast which was adequate but no frills. It was a continental buffet with lots of bread, cold meat, fish, cereals and a bit of fruit. Eggs are cooked to order you can have fried, scrambled, boiled or an Omelette. There is also a coffee machine which you can have a decent Cappuccino from. We were issued with our Konus Card on arrival which allowed us to take all our train journeys free of charge. The Hotel is situated in the Town’s main high street and a 5 minute walk from the train station. However beware that the Town is situated in a valley and whenever you want to go to the train station you have to climb 100 plus steep steps. The Hotel is also next to a restaurant which is also run by the hotel proprietor. I would say that the one disappointing aspect of our stay was that the room was not air conditioned, which I found slightly surprising as the hotel is a new build and was only opened last year. Night time temperatures were well in to the 20’s Celsius so sleeping wasn’t always easy, but I still think this place is worth 5 stars."
"We've honestly never seen such a huge room within this price category, it was just that good! The spacious bathroom -including delicious rain shower- was beyond our expectations as well. Beds were very comfortable and there was a nice sitting corner near the television screen. Very handy if you don't want to spend your whole night in bed for a change. Breakfast was amazing as well: a vast range of grains, rolls, fruits and yoghurt. Eggs were prepared in a little kitchen and served according to the wishes of the customers. Check in was fine, but it's good to realise that the front desk isn't always open. So we had to go to the neighbouring restaurant instead where a very friendly lady accompanied us into the hotel and proceeded with the check-in. Hornberg is a bit of an underestimated place, but it's a great base from where to explore the central areas of the Black Forest. Gengenbach and Schiltach for example, are all relatively close. We even went for a fantastic hike right from the centre of Hornberg which we can highly recommend, "Durch den Hornberger Stadtwald"."
"We stayed here overnight recently and despite booking at very short notice, we could not have been made more welcome. The hotel is brand spanking new; the decor is beautiful and everything is super comfortable. We had such a lovely welcome from the host, Frau Obert, which was a great introduction to a gorgeous village. Our room was just lovely, comfortable and with everything we could have needed. The breakfast was delicious and with lots of choice, including excellent coffee. We ate supper at the Gasthous next door which is run by the same family. Once again everything was lovely. Hornberg is a bit off the beaten track but easily accessible from the railway station and makes a good base for local touring and walking. Highly recommended. "

Hinterschützenbach 15, Furtwangen im Schwarzwald, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"You chose this hotel and happily noted that you were right in choosing! All hotel conditions exceeded our expectations! Clean, cozy and comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet place, surrounded by nature. From the hotel room and from the terrace of the restaurant, you can contemplate the beautiful valley and the fir forest. As you know, communication with nature gives us a huge amount of positive energy, and the ecological place of living around nature is doubly! Therefore, the idea of an eco-friendly hotel is to protect people from city fuss, plastic, and of course, Internet radiation. The hotel has no internet, which allows people to be alone with nature. We were accommodated immediately upon arrival, providing a very comfortable room. I want to say right away, when choosing a room, there are rooms with a view of the forest, the western shadow side, for those who want a subdued light and not be awakened by the morning sun! For lovers of bright light, the east side overlooks the valley, but there is a chance to hear cars passing by. And of course in but there are blinds and curtains to regulate the light. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent and brought everything very quickly. The girl working in the reception and in the restaurant as a waiter, incredibly quickly coped with all her duties. Despite the busyness of the restaurant and a certain number of people at dinner, the cook coped with the slave perfectly! By the way, the cook was the only one we saw at our breakfast. She was a very pleasant woman, radiating a sea of positive and good. (for note: knowing Russian) The breakfast area was fascinated by its Provence-style decors, beautifully reserved tables, perfect cleanliness and an excellent breakfast selection. There were many varieties of high-quality cheeses, cold meats, scrambled eggs, eggs, fresh bread with a crispy crust, dairy, fruits, vegetables, natural butter and juices. If you appreciate the silence and good service, then you will love this hotel! If possible, we will definitely come back here!"
"This is an excellent hotel and restaurant, conveniently located in the Black Forest, between Furtwangen and Triberg. Great food selections for both breakfast and dinner. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are tastefully decorated. Outdoor seating as well. Only downside - no elevator."

"This looked like an ideal stopover in the forest on our way back to home in Brussels. The hotel is close to the top of a hill up a steep road. Easy access, well laid out grounds, ample parking space, modern chalet style building with a very nice view. There's good facilities in the grounds for children to play and even a large chess set. We had a nice aperitif on the terrace before moving inside for dinner. We could have dined in the covered terrace area but once the sun is gone, the air becomes quite chilly. The meal was simple and good. Our waitress Sylvia was great fun and made the evening fun. We then wandered up to our room. The room was simple but, as expected, with a good bed with clean crisp sheets. The bathroom was a bit spartan: no little extras. Just bottled soap and a simple shower. Somewhat surprising for a room costing 150 euros, breakfast included. The night brought an unpleasant surprise : the pleasant evening calm was shattered by loud music with heavy drum beats coming from the hotel just up the hill. The windows of our room (which did not close well) offered little protection. This went on all night and as you can imagine made sleeping difficult even with earplugs. When we commented on this next morning at checkout we were told that this was a 4 day and night party which takes place every year at Whitsun. So though the place is no doubt pleasant at other times, avoid it at Whitsun if you are not a raver. And thumbs down to the hotel and booking.com for not mentioning this. "
"This is a fabulous place, right in the Black Forest Natural Park. The staff were very friendly, speak excellent English and the food in the restaurant was delicious (although we love this area, we are not usually a fan of a lot of the traditional German food), we had local smoked trout which even for a reluctant fish eater was lovely! beef carpaccio with Parmesan, both followed with local steaks which were also excellent. I even managed to find a good wine! 😊 Breakfast was traditional, cereal, cold meats and cheeses with some bacon and scrambled eggs if you wish. The rooms were spacious and had views of either the small lake or forest. Surrounded by walks a great place for walking and cycling. Lovely and clean, a place to cleanse the soul! "
"We booked this lovely hotel as a base to explore the area on motorbike. The hotel is set at the edge of town with farmland and forest adjacent to the property. Loads of lovely walks and a good place to base yourselves to explore. The hotel has plenty of parking. Great food, lovely staff and the owners look after you very well. The rooms are all modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. I have stayed at this hotel about 6 or 7 times on my travels around Europe on my bike... It just gets better and better... and on this occasion a little bigger with a new restaurant area that overlooks the hotels small lake. "

"Since our visit corresponded to the hotel's annual holiday, we were given a code prior to our arrival so that we can check in despite the absence of the hosts. A warm welcome letter with our room keys was a sweet way to make sure we instantly felt at home. The room was, as requested, with a baby bed and was extremely clean and comfortable. The beds were white, clean and odorless. The cupboard was spacious to accommodate all our luggage. The bathroom thought small was sufficient and clean. A common room outside had a small fridge and a baby changing table which was convenient for us. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of breads along with homemade jams, fresh cream, yogurt and cheese. An array of fruits and antipasti was also there. The hostess was kind enough to ask for boiled or scrambled eggs. A hot, homemade fruit cake added a delicious touch. Those who preferred musli or flakes also had a few good ones to choose from. Coffee, tea and a good number of fruit juices were the beverages offered. The entire stay was pleasant and I would definitely recommend it anyone planning to visit Triberg falls or Titisee."
"We spent the night in a nearby Airbnb, and were looking for some dinner. We decided to “wing it” and try this place. We were not disappointed! I personally had the rump-roast with fries and it was probably the best I’ve had in Germany! My wife had the trout and loved it! We are going to be going back again before leaving the area!"
"We had an overnight trip here as part of our journey through the Black Forest. Room was okay, clean, lots of room. The bathroom was small. Breakfast was good overall and saves you time looking for something to eat. The hostess didn't advise of any amenities i.e. a room where you could access a minibar but was quick to ask if we had used it. Just not very personable."
