"Situated next to the river, the hotel offers amazing comfort in an area close to the vibrant city centre, but tucked away enough to be very peaceful. We were offered a room upgrade and we were impressed. A large comfortable bed, plenty of space in a gorgeous room. The bathroom was spotless, spacious and the shower extremely powerful. The room smelled of the disinfectant used due to the covid crisis. Not overpowering but actually very reassuringly nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they were very conscientious about the covid-19 issues, all wore masks ans insisted guests did when using the communal areas such as bar and breakfast room (apart from when actually eating and drinking of course ;) ) The breakfast was ample and tasty, all the utensils were individually wrapped and handed out by staff. They made sure everything was being wiped down as soon as anybody left a table. The parking was very close by and it cost us just €24 in a public car park for our 36 hours in the city, way cheaper than found in most other cities. Nothing but good things to say about the hotel, would 100% use it again,"
"The room was excellent, stylish, everything worked well, coffee machine, mini bar, nice bathroom, duvet could have been wider ! The staff were excellent - we had a medical emergency and the staff were brilliant. Would definitely stay there again - the breakfast was really good too."
"Just got back from 3 days in Ghent and was very pleased with this hotel. Comfortable spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, great location, very good breakfast and excellent location. Would definitely use again and will recommend to friends. Also great value for money."

"The hotel location is very good. The hotel upgraded us to the tower room. The room has two floors (very exaggerated). The view is 100 points. You can see the sights and the Ferris wheel at close range. The design is also very beautiful and unique. The service is inviting."
"Service attitude is very good, the hotel is good, very retro, like, it is expensive, very close to the clock tower, the hotel lobby is very small, just a small counter, but does not affect the feeling of the entire hotel, the pillows and beds are super comfortable ,like"
"Hotel location is excellent! Friends who are not bad money live here! Especially sentimental, the service is very good! More than 2 kilometers from the train station, take a taxi for 10 euros! A special romantic night! There are also Chinese food nearby!"

"Pricy but from the grand entrance to the rooms and to the decor, you realize that the owners truly love what they are doing and enjoying their experience as the hosts of this charming place. We stayed at the room on the ground floor which has a private little conservatory! Everything is provided in the room (except the lighter for the beautiful large candles in the room). There are even bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer and all the toiletries. The parking isn't too far away and you can park your car at the front just to register and leave your luggage. We didn't have the breakfast there but it's available instead we walked to the corner intersection right by the bus station and had our breakfast at Tante Paula cafe. You must try the breakfast there! and say hello to the team of husband and wife and ask them who is Tante Paula?"
"We had a great 2 night stay at Ganda. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Communication prior to our stay was timely and our welcome to the Hotel was friendly and provided us with useful information to begin our exploration of Gent. The building is character filled and the sympathetic restoration was fabulous. If you are looking for something that doesn’t fit the ‘ cookie cutter’ mould of hotels then this is the place for you. We loved the amazing paintings and sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was superb, great homemade jams and bread and your choice of perfectly cooked eggs. Lots of lovely extras like homemade cake and tea and coffee readily available to guests in the gorgeous sitting room. The hosts are a fabulous couple that go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable and at home."
"Central and within easy walking distance to the sights, restaurants and canals in Ghent. In a quiet location this beautifully restored hotel offers a relaxing oasis. Our ground floor suite was spacious with an adjoining winter garden lounge area. Rainforest shower with spa products from Rituals to luxuriate in. Upstairs there is a lounge with complimentary tea, coffee and water and a fridge with alcoholic drinks to buy. These can be enjoyed on the roof terrace lounge area. Breakfast was great including fresh fruits, local pastries and breads, home made jams, cheeses, meats and cooked options. A very relaxing and friendly place to stay. "

"The couple took two children and lived in one room. They had two 1.5-meter double beds. They were very clean and well decorated. They also booked a room for their single friends. The price is the same as ours. The area is the same, just She is 1.8 meters long, we are very satisfied, especially the breakfast is impeccable, all kinds of delicious cheese including delicious delicate sheep cheese, various ham slices, especially Spanish, ice milk hot milk various drinks There is also freshly squeezed juice, it looks like this hotel is a chef, so breakfast is so beautiful!"
"The location is great, the restaurant attractions are just around the corner, and there is a better price parking lot next to the hotel. The hotel room is clean, the lobby design is very special, very beautiful, the corridor of the room is very general. There are few people coming in from the main entrance of the hotel. They all entered the door from the river. The waiters at the front desk and the restaurant bar were extremely bad, very cold and not enthusiastic. Affected the atmosphere of the entire hotel."
"Hotel location is very good, the hotel is tall, the room is beautifully decorated! The hotel has front and rear doors. It is the river bank of Ghent from the back door. It is so beautiful. It looks good at the lights on both sides of the river at night! Strongly recommended!"

"The hotel is located near the Ghent Clock Tower, just in the heart of the old downtown of Ghent. There are many monuments. You can walk from the station to the hotel. The room is clean and the facilities are new."
"The hotel location is very good, right in the center of the city, the room is large and the living room is comfortable and the equipment is clean. Little girl service at the front desk was great"
"Convenient situated in the downtown, with many attractions as well as restaurants nearby. The room is large and clean."

"Almost by accident we found this hotel some years ago, and what a fortunate discovery. Previously we have stayed in a variety of hotels in Ghent, but this one exceeds all expectations. The location is just right - close enough to all the tourist attractions, (you can see the three towers from the front of the hotel) but across a canal from the hustle and bustle. In the neighbourhood there are so many restaurants, although because breakfast was so substantial there was no need to stop for lunch. The breakfast was of the highest quality with lots to choose from - cooked as well as chilled. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent with a superb shower. What makes this hotel so special is the level of service from everyone. During our stay it was my husband's birthday (he loves to spend his bithday in Ghent) and a lovely surprise was left in the room for him. This hotel has the ability to make me feel happy - before our stay I look forward to it, during our stay everything is perfect, and afterwards we are left with the most amazing memories. We really look forward to returning next year."
"Stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter while visiting the van Eyck exhibition. Hotel Harmony is a lovely base, perfect location on the canal and close to no 1 tram stop for the line to the station and many other attractions. Great location to explore the old town - couple of minutes from the castle and 10 mins walk to the Cathedral and Belfry. Lots of great places to eat nearby. The room (we we’re in a canal view with terrace) was very spacious and had mini bar fridge and Nespresso machine and kettle. Lovely view over the gabled rooftops to the towers . The terrace would have been lovely to sit out on in better weather! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend."
"We recently booked a suite at this hotel while seeing the Van Eyck exhibition. Be aware: a suite is not a suite (two or more rooms) at this hotel. It is merely a larger than average room. To make matters worse, there is virtually no privacy with the loo being a small cupboard with no hand basin (and no window or ventilation) opening directly on to the main room. The bathroom itself has low water pressure and the basin is not well designed so it fills up when water runs and does not drain well. Possibly I am too fastidious, but that is why I booked the top category of room. "Yuck" (technical word) was our impression about all of this. In other words, if you stay here, you can forget about the "maintaining the mystery". The room was poorly lit and there are no mirrors near a power point. To make matters worse, some of the staff (although not all) are surly and unhelpful, behaving as if they are not paid to recommend restaurants or book taxis. The best thing I can say is that the view at breakfast is lovely and so are the waitresses and chambermaids."

"Romantic weekend for two ? Cross. Cost-effective stop-over with a young family ? Cross. Big foodies with a penchant for knowledgeable and experienced waiting staff ? Cross. Car Club that needs corporate stop-over and catering ? Tick. Want to bump into simultaneous company groups on a 'end of month' knees-up ? Tick. Place looks above substance....not a lot.... but still more inclined to looks rather than the personal touch ? Tick. Prefer to stay at places whose bulk turnover is driven by a corporate visa card ? Then this is your place. Staff are very nice generally but it's simply geared to seminars/groups etc. If that's ok and you want a stop-off and access to parking (NB: you'll need to run the gauntlet of the road that separates hotel and parking area, so beware if you've got kids or the elderly), then 'fill yer boots'. For the 'couple'...well, it's a bit of a shame because all the components are there: riverside tables, comforting architecture, crisply designed rooms..... But they know their market and it might not be YOU. My tip: stay here if you like the looks and go the extra miles (well several of them) to Ghent in the evening for your food. I'd also do the same for breakfast: much wider choice and you'll save money and get equal or superior quality."
"The location is nice but the Main street is kind of dangerous. Cars are speeding and you need to run if you want to cross the street. My room was verry small but for the total cost quite ok. Breakfast i missed but i bett for 20,-€ must be something great. The Restaurant.... Stuff is verry friendly but if you sit outside, you need to place your order inside the Restaurant. They forgot me always with my empty glass and honestly the beer is amazing. Food... Well It blowed my mind away. I've ordered a 3 course menu for 45€ and it was worth every single Cent. Not overrated at all and i will be back as soon as i'm arround Gent. order more southern comford :) "
"Staf so friendly and honestly prepare to helpfrom luggage to everything. BREAKFAST was the best one in last month traveling arround Europe. For Vegeterians,Vegans Fresh orange juice, fresh fruits amazing and the best taste in Europe FOR MEAT LOVERS...Aged Prosciutto, bacon Amazing Stop it and spent a nice relaxing night here rather then in Ghent"

"I lately spent a few days in The Mansion in Gent. The hotel rooms are partly in a refurbished old mansion (as the name indicates) and partly in a new building. Both parts connect via the ground floor patio and the outside staircase at the different levels. The refurbishment, the choice of the quality of materials and the design have been done very tastefully. The WOW effect is immediate. The outside of the building is magnificent, but once you enter you get to see how majestic the place is. One thing that struck me is the serenity of the place, despite it's grandeur. They've got this lounge called The Library where you can get Nespresso coffee on the ground floor. It's really calm and cosy. The rooms are very clean and tidy. Again here, the materials and furniture are of fine quality. Very comfortable beds and nice sanitary amenities. Free qualitative coffee and tea in the rooms. The hotel is very well located. You can get to all major attractions in Gent by foot in a few minutes. No need to say I for sure recommend this charming hotel... Have a nice stay!"
"We had a great stay at The Mansion. It's located nearby the city center, and easy to reach by foot/public transport or by car. The corner building —which has the prestige of a real 'Mansion'— we found with the help of the online reception we could get contact with by Whatsapp anytime. When entering the building we were amazed by the remaining heritage and how they implemented new architecture into it, which serves the necessary needs of nowadays. The concept feels like having a home in Ghent, and we truly experienced it that way. The rooms are nice and spacious. The beds are amazing (wish I had one like that at home). The showers are luxurious. But the best of all is generally be able to enjoy these modern facilities within this authentic building. I'm looking forward to visit Ghent again soon to explore the other hidden treasures in The Mansion. Thank you."
"We stayed here for only 1 night and were sad we had to leave. It's close to the city centre (5min walking), the room was big, AMAZING bed and shower! For this price you can't find anything better in the city. The fully autonomous checkin went flawless, it felt like you entered your own mansion."

"Recently opened hotel on the side of Ghent. It was easy to drive to the hotel and enough parking place in front of the hotel. Perfect location for us. Staff smiled, were friendly and customer focused. They gave good feeling to arrive to the hotel. Room is spacious. Separate area for bed and own area for kitchen and sitting are. Easy to turn TV if you wanted to watch TV in the bed or on the sofa. There are nice photos of Ghent in the rooms and in the hotel. Photos give nice atmosphere. Basic breakfast that was enough for us. We stay again when we come to Ghent."
"This hotel is brand new (opened one week ago), and the large bedrooms come with all modern facilities. However, the bedrooms have been designed for giants. I am an averaged-height man, yet my feet don't reach the ground when I sit on the toilet. I have to stand up when I sit on the edge of the bed. So using the toilet, or getting dressed, are both much more difficult/uncomfortable than they need to be, This hotel could be excellent, but other reasons why I only give it three stars: * clothes storage is in the bathroom so your clothes get damp * very limited evening food (and there is only one other eating place within walking distance) * charge for basic internet access - which is pretty exceptional in 2019"
"Fair price, nice rooms and completely new. The fitness is also good, small but fine. The rooms are very spacious and have a kitchen. There is an Aldi just 300 m meters away, so you can buy food and cook. Other there is not much around."
