"We stayed for a long weekend with the kids utilizing their one-bedroom suite. We would have loved the two-bedroom, but those were all booked. Our room was spacious, had a nice kitchen, and everything was clean. Pool was clean and had towels available at poolside. Breakfast, even with Covid-19, was a nice continental assortment. Everything was individually wrapped. Utilized the app to request extra towels and pillows prior to our arrival. However, that, although marked done on the app, was not in our room. Our major complaint was the bed in the bedroom. It was absolutely horrible. Everything else was so nice, we expected the beds to be same. Honestly, my husband and I both have differing tastes for beds, but we both agreed that it was the worst bed we had ever slept on — and we’ve been in some doozies of rooms before. It was literally painful. We had to use pillows to lay on for it to even be possible to sleep—and that still left us hurting the next day. I know it sounds like an exaggeration, but I can’t even explain how surprising and disappointing this was. We’ve never had any other issues in Marriott owned hotels. So—hope that you don’t get Room 204!"
"This is the first time that I have stayed at this location, although I have stayed at other TownePlace Suites throughout the US; however, this is the first location I have stayed at that not only has a cooktop but also a small oven to use. The addition of the oven makes cooking dinner for myself that much more convenient. The rooms are maintained wonderfully and the staff does a great job of keeping the rooms clean. The room I am in has more storage than any hotel I have been in prior. The only complaint is occasionally the internet speed is so slow that I am unable to do anything online. This is fairly consistent with other hotels that I have stayed at and usually the internet speed picks back up shortly. One very nice feature is the TV does have smart access so you can watch Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming services right on the TV. I will definitely stay here again should I find myself in Yuma again."
"While we were forced to leave the Springhill Suites before our scheduled departure date, the TownPlace Suites welcomed us with open arms. Not only with the 2 bedroom suites spacious, they were well maintained by a very friendly and accommodating housekeeping staff. I initially had a problem with the lock on my door, the staff was right on it and apologized for any inconvenience. In addition, since we left each morning before the official start of breakfast at 0600h, the front desk staff prepared a breakfast in a bag so we did not miss breakfast-VERY THOUGHTFUL. I will be staying at the TownPlace Suites next time we are in Yuma, Arizona for business."

"From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly personnel. We dealt with two different young ladies when we checked in. I failed to get their names, but they were very pleasant. I did get the names of the maintenance man (Stefan), and the young lady at the desk, (Ellisa), who said she was fairly new. They just couldn't have been nicer. The rooms were well-designed and clean. The shower had great water pressure. UREKA! Always a plus. If I were to go into nit-picking mode, the only thing I can think of is I found the pillows to be uncomfortable for me. I would add that I have more metal in my body than my car has -- including in my neck. Ergo, others might find the pillows to be to their liking. Pillows and mattresses tend to be a subjective thing. What one person loves, another may hate. The bottom line is I was very impressed with the hotel and even more impressed with every employee I came in contact with -- especially Stefan. The man is a national treasure. I would add that the breakfast was decent, too and the hotel is close to the freeway. As a bonus, I was able to eat my breakfast without seeing CNN on the TV. I'd rather watch the DIY channel and learn how to remodel an outhouse. But that's just me. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."
"Check in was fast and made more fun with a friendly staff at the counter. Room was fresh and clean...and kept that way throughout the 5 day stay. Big plus was a fast and always available WiFi!! For us business travelers, that's important. Of course it's not secure so be careful. Within walking distance of a couple of good restaurants, too. And the view to the north is spectacular. The Hotel is on a nice ridge overlooking the east side of Yuma. Breakfasts were good but not spectacular. You do have a couple of hot meals to choose from: usually scrambled eggs and sausage. If you need an extended stay...I would definitely consider SpringHill Suites."
"This is the second time we have stayed here. When we checked in the GSA told us there was an elevator in the middle of the first floor but failed to tell us that the key entry door next to where we parked was not functional. After going through two sets of doors, there was a sign saying the door was inoperable. I had to walk all the way around the front of the property and by that time my wife had flagged someone down in the elevator to let her in. The desk agent should have advised us. Rooms are tight and set up peculiarly. Coffee was never more than lukewarm. At 7 a.m. the coffee was warm and in the evening forget it. Always cold. On second day we wanted service and asked housekeeper personally to clean room since we were leaving. Came back and room not serviced. Housekeeping mediocre at best at this property."

"Honestly, want to give this hotel 4.5 stars, but that's not an option. I stayed here in late July for one night while passing thru. Location is great...easy off and on I8. Checking in was a breeze, and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly. He suggested a few restaurants in the area for food. Room itself was clean and rather spacious. In the morning there was a breakfast available where you picked what you wanted, placed in bag and ate in your room. The gym was closed due to AZ mandate, unsure about the pool...never saw anyone in it when I was outside. Only complaint was noise from traffic. My room was on the end of the hotel closest to the interstate. Could hear the trucks going all night long. Ask to be put on the opposite side of the hotel and I'm sure you will be good to go!"
"We stayed overnight passing through Yuma. I was a little hesitant to reserve a Fairfield room as in another city I had stayed at one that was overdue for some renovations. This looks like everything was brand new. Everything was pristine from the carpet to the paint to the bathroom. The updated design was also easy on the eyes. The gentleman who checked me in at midnight was pleasant and quick. I was done in what seemed like 30 seconds and on my way to my room. Breakfast was good for the hotel range. The woman who tended it was pleasant and meticulous. Be nice to her if you eat there. She’s a sweetheart! Couldn’t have asked for anything else, really."
"This HONEST review is coming from a person who isn't a spoiled Platinum Member. The property was great overall, clean and well arranged. Check in was a breeze and the young gentleman behind the front desk was awesome. Both the hotel and room were very clean. Staffing was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the staff maintaining it were very good. This property as a whole, including the great staff, was beyond expectations. Thank You Fairfield Inn & Suites Yuma We will return!!"

"My husband and I had a late arrival. While at the Phoenix airport I received a text from the hotel asking when we expected to arrive. I responded and was told they were waiting for us. I appreciated the text because I knew they still had a room ready for us. The facilities are clean and appealing. Although our stay was very short the few staff we dealt with were very pleasant and professional. We would definitely stay here again. "
"I booked this room for just one night for this trip . I have stayed in Hampton Inns many times in the past in various locations . This stay I was perhaps more impressed than ever with Hampton . Before I would rate them maybe 4 stars however this particular location was 5 stars for sure . Room was ultra comfortable , beds were awesome (and the plush bedding) and the breakfast buffet was astoundingly great ! "
"Hampton Inns have always been good for ud. Clean, comfortable, efficient, pleasant staff. This hotel was up to date. Walk in shower, lots of towels and towel bars, compfy bed and spacious. Breakfast was okay with a good variety. "

Very Good

"Great location in Yuma. Near 1-8. Right next to Yuma Park on the Colorado River. Our kids loved the locomotive out front and it is within walking distance to a playground and "beach" park. I would not advise getting in the river (dirty). But playground and grassy area is great with large shade trees. We walked to downtown Yuma and took the kids to dinner/arcade/movie. Rooms were dated and the bed wasn't the greatest, but I've had worse rooms. We were on the second floor and my tiny 7 year old was running in the room at 7:30pm (near bed time), we got a phone call someone complained to the front desk. They were a little rude about it. A lot of guests were "living" there. So it made the stay a little uncomfortable. I guess that is why the room below us complained of a little noise. Honestly, the room next to ours had the TV super loud, but that can be how it is in hotel rooms with thin walls. "
"We arrived in June for a 1 night stay at this hotel. In between booking our stay my debit card on file was compromised and deactivated. The host at the front desk was a kind gentleman who directed we use another card. We did and the whole situation took no more than 10 minutes. Mind you we arrived way before the guided check in time. Our room was ready and spotless. Immenities such as the bar and dining are closed due to coronavirus but the pool area is still opened with a reservation. The room was immaculate and comfortable. A great stay if you find yourself passing through or have a planned trip in Yuma."
"$230 per night this place was not worth it. I dropped a piece of aluminum on Thursday and checked out the following Wednesday and it was in the same place even after having my room "cleaned". Bed had a dip on the right side that was uncomfortable. Wifi sucked and 9/11 nights cable had weak signal and had to turn TV of and on a few times before it actually worked. Saturday and Sunday all that was done to my room was emptied trash and kinda fixed bed, no clean towels to replace the ones that were in the floors and kcup was not removed from coffee maker my room was not vacuumed. My sheets were not changed because It had a small make up stain from previous days. Last day as I was loading my stuff to my car I got locked out of my room because " I was checked out" I called hotel manager and has received a call back. I had better service, internet, bed and TV at The Wyngate for a lot less money!"

"Situated on the I8 but if travelling from the west you have to come off at the next exit and back on the I8 to find it, sat navs not always helpful on this one. On an elevated position looks fairly new. Rooms are nice size, work desk, large TV, small kitchen area and standard bathroom. Beds are good so are the large pillows. There is a restaurant and bar. Dinner menu is modern rather than classic and fairly limited although good quality. Ambiance is lacking. Breakfast good cooked to order although not included in the room price. The pool is excellent heated to a bath temperature! Open year round, Spa is very hot . An excellent stay."
"Ferrying an aircraft from Placerville, California to Wilmington, Delaware and Yuma was a planned overnight. So looked for a good inn nearby. Had stayed in the Holiday Inn before on business selected it and again hit the spot! Just out of the main town area, but with very easy access to downtown, back to the airport and the highways, Greeted by two very friendly host, full of good advice on the town. Very comfortable, quiet and clean rooms, with easy and fast WIFI. Nice small breakfast area and a small but accommodating bar. I highly recommend staying here. I would again!"
"Stayed for two nights over a weekend, en route from the desert to the coast. This was in all ways an excellent stay, good room in 4th floor with a fantastic view, great staff, and good facilities. Breakfast was predictable, but well cooked and served. However, the hotel was far from full and we did wonder what breakfast service might be like on a busy morning. Not much space maybe, with too few staff. But don’t let this out you of - this has to be the best value in town. "

"We stayed here back in 2013 and happened to be in the area again. The fellow at the front desk could not have been more helpful. Sadly dont remember his name but he went above and beyond to help us out. His customer service skills is how all should be trained. The room was great and clean, comfy. We had our breakfast in the kitchenette and went on our way. PERFECT"
"Needed a stop over stay in Yuma. We chose Candlewood and it was a great choice. A nice large queen suite with a nice kitchenette was perfect. Bed was comfy and room was very clean. Would stay again for short term or long term. Our standard poodle was welcome, too!"
"I really appreciate this place, the staff is so friendly and caring, the amenities provided are just what you need to survive and relax comfortably. The rooms are always clean and they're always available to help with our needs and concerns."
