"We stayed here for two nights. We booked one night using our annual free night provided by our credit card, and a second night on points. We tried to use Suite Night Awards, but were denied this benefit a couple days prior to check in, even though Suites were available. After looking at our first room - the units that open up to the little lagoon area, we decided to pay an additional $500 per night to upgrade to an Oasis Suite. The Oasis Suite is supposed to be one of the best rooms at the property. Our room, like nearly everything else at this property is flashy at first glance, but miserably unfunctional once you actually try to enjoy the spaces. I can provide several examples. Bathroom: A complete design disaster. The floor of the bathroom is made of cheap wood planks, which look nice at first glance, but when you go to take a shower, you realize that this surface is slippery and unfunctional. To top it off, there is not proper drainage, so the soapy water just sits there, puddling beneath the floor boards. This area is adjacent to and connected to an outdoor tub area. Our tub was very hot - I measured it at 110 degrees. However, it would only hold water halfway up. We asked them to fix it, but after two tries by the staff, we gave up. That same wood planking is in the outside area, with similar drainage issues. Lastly, the toilet was needlessly installed in the far corner of the bathroom, without proper clearances to the side (15" minimum to each side not met) or in front (24" minimum not even close). So, my legs would stick to the side wall and my knees would knock the wall in front of me while on the toilet. Again, worn areas on the walls were evidence that many others had the same experience. Moisture damage was on every surface in the bathroom area - exploding seams and mold on the windows and sliding doors, damaged, crumbling stucco everywhere, etc. Another note on the sliding door in the bathroom to the outdoor tub - it has vegetation growing in the door sill, and you could see through the from the outside underneath the door sill - leaving every bug easy access to the room. Balcony with pool - Upon first glance from the sliding patio door - looked great. But when you get in - it's only about 18" or two feet deep. Getting in and out is a challenge too - no railing, nothing to hang onto, and again slippery surfaces everywhere. And get this - our "pool" was 114 degrees. How do I know? I measured the temperature with my digital thermometer. 105 is the limit for any hot tub, let alone a pool. This was a major heating malfunction, that never got corrected after complaining. Strike two for outdoor water features in our room. The rest of the deck was that same cheap wood. The deck was made from painted cheap pine planks. Buckling and broken in several areas - about 1.5 inches of flex as you would walk on it. Same drainage issue out here - water just sits under the planks, so everytime it rains or gets "
"It was a 3 nights trip, and I would like to stay more ¡¡ the hotel is so beautiful, the restaurants delicious, maybe I miss something more casual for dinner, a pizza or pasta, but everything we eat was really good, the staff very friendly, the guys that attend the beach very kind and helpfull, maybe it is a hotel for young people or middle age, I will not recommend too much for kids, but everything else.... great the beach is one of the best in all Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta"
"We had a great experience at the W. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The hotel, beach and grounds are beautiful. The water is perfect for boogie boarding and body surfing. The food is great and room service is very prompt if you want to do that. We were upgraded and loved our room and the view. The pool areas are well thought out and relaxing. The gym is clean and well equipped. Really we have nothing but good things to say. "
