"My husband and I returned to Chilston Park exactly five months after we were married at the hotel. We had champagne afternoon tea and an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. We were totally blown away by the reception we received upon our return. Each and every member of staff treated us as if we were the only guests in the hotel (and the hotel was pretty busy on this particular day/night); they were all so attentive to our needs, incredibly professional and overall exceptionally friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager of the hotel, Simon Barker, who himself demonstrated a very friendly, approachable and professional manner. Traits which appear to be filtered throughout the hotel. Our recent stay at Chilston Park reaffirmed why we chose the venue to host our wedding in September 2019. This will be the fourth time that we have stayed at the hotel over the past 2.5 years and each stay has earned a five star rating from us. We simply can not fault the venue or staff."
"First visit to this Hotel and it certainly lived up to all the previous reviews and some. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff from the minute we arrived. Our room was large and tastefully decorated with high quality pieces and a really comfy bed! All the communal parts of the hotel are stunning including the restaurant. We ate dinner there last night and it was superb, as was breakfast with a good choice of continental to start and a choice of cooked food, cooked to order. The grounds are lovely too and worth a wander. We we're lucky with the weather do had a good walk round after breakfast. Will certainly return to this hotel in the future"
"Stunning place! Amazing staff they can’t do enough for you and really go above and beyond for you to enjoy your stay! Always greeted with a warm welcome from Russel. Food is fantastic and a beautiful dining area. The Tudor suite is our favourite a gorgeous room full of charm and character and the bed is like sleeping in a huge marshmallow! The best sleep we have ever had! The Reynolds suite which we stayed second time around has a beautiful view and a generous size. We have stayed in a few hotels around the uk but this is definitely my favourite place to relax and unwind and know I’ll be taken care off. Thankyou so much ❤️"

"Booked to stay as was dining at a nearby restaurant. The pub and the rooms were very clean and perfectly finished. Room included Sky to, teas and coffee, water, very large room and bathroom with fluffy towels. On checking in we were advised that the pub had been booked for two parties that night, one with a band and the other with a DJ. We were advised that the party would be finished by 11.30, so not a problem as we weren't due back till just after midnight. On returning the band had finished, but the DJ had not, the bar was also full of party goers. The noise from the pub echoed into the rooms above till 1.00, you could hear and feeling the base, the singing and the laughter. The at 1.30 the staff started to put the furniture all back into place. Once again disturbing the rooms above. The bathroom extract fans rattled through the night, added with the busy road outside made for a very poor nights sleep in a very comfortable room. The bar staff had returned by 8.00 am making the place ready for breakfast, therefore once again could be heard. Breakfast the next morning was good, a traditional full English, but no other hot choice, only cereals or pastry. The water for tea was lukewarm and the overall service did not reflect the setting. On the whole, good room, very noisy, poor service and overpriced. "
"Stayed in the suite. Modern, quirky and large, well modernised and comfortable if a little noisy from the road. But after a bottle of great local Pinot noir I couldn’t hear much! Food pretty good I had hake perfectly cooked and my wife had great moules. The bar is comfortable and the staff pleasant and attentive. The home grown wines especially that Pinot Noir are really good. Let down badly by an entirely DIY continental breakfast. Can’t complain about most of the food left out for breakfast but the breakfast experience is so far behind the quality of the rest of the inn. I want service in a hotel environment and one of the pleasures of being away from home is the indulgence of full cooked breakfast. We won’t return to stay but as a pub it’s really good. "
"I just stayed for one night with my two daughters. The bedrooms are absolutely lovely, the pub was lively on a Sunday afternoon, and we enjoyed our pizzas that night. The staff were charming, friendly and helpful. We were left a great continental breakfast on the Monday morning. The rooms and food were reasonably priced, though the wine was quite a bit more than we paid in Hush Heath winery. However, the staff kindly let us drink the bottle we had bought at Hush Heath, downstairs in the pub with our pizzas."

"We booked at random having struggled to find anywhere for a last minute break and were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Yes, parts of it could do with upgrading but we had booked a Feature Room based on the pictures on the website and we got the Crimson Room which has the most amazingly comfortable Four Poster bed, a lovely bathroom with double ended claw footed bath and super wonky floors. Sharon, who checked us in, and looked after us in the restaurant on the first night was super friendly and went out of her way to help. Food in the restaurant was tasty and plentiful both at dinner and at breakfast time. Extra bottles of water were provided for our room for overnight at our request. We slept well, the bed was very comfortable and although there were drinkers in the bar and outside on the street the noise quietened down early and didn't disturb us. Our only gripes really were the size of the car park - totally inadequate - and getting charged £5.20 for a pint of Coke. We were told this was on tap but it was charged as 16 ounces plus a 330ml bottle."
"I booked the winter deal, which was 3 course dinner for 2, bed and full English breakfast the following morning. We had the warmest of welcomes. Lovely room, nice comfortable bed. We had a fabulous dinner, food was delicious. The waitress was a gem ( a lady with mid length blonde hair, very chatty and sweet), she wished me a happy birthday and nothing was too much trouble for her. We had our dessert in the snug, a lovely cosy little corner of the pub. She had told us about how amazing the breakfasts were there. My husband and I couldn't wait to try it in the morning. We went down to have breakfast, to be told that the power in the kitchen had gone and there was no cooked breakfast available. All there was was tea, coffee, cereal and toast and a bowl of fruit on a help yourself basis. The waitress did apologise. Just such a shame that we never got to try it. Ended up going out for breakfast after we checked out. Adding more cost to our night away. Real shame. "
"We stayed at this hotel as it’s not too far from Benenden Hospital. We were checked in by Bryony who was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable cosy and warm, and our dinner that evening was very very tasty. It’s a very old hotel with a lot of history and a nice friendly bar area. I dropped my husband off at the hospital early and then returned for my wonderful breakfast. Again all the staff were very friendly and helpful as I was on my own. The hotel is based within the small town which I walked around the next day. Parking is ok but can be quite busy if a lot of guests are staying. A great hotel the food is brilliant and the staff very much to their credit."

"Very well organised to deal with covid from first to last. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a well stocked bar and plenty of space inside and out to socially distance. there are seven rooms. Ours was number 1. We loved the decor and the hot bath! The dinner menu includes some excellent tapas which we mixed with a classic steak. The sides of mushroom, cherry tomatoes on the vine and triple cooked chips were super. Breakfast was cooked to order. A generous helping of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, beans, black pudding and a perfectly cooked egg. the toast was really good too. We will visit again. PS The Kino cinema just along the road is excellent."
"We stayed here for 3 nights . Our room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We ate every evening in the restaurant and were very impressed with the quality of the food which was delicious .Breakfast was good too with plenty of choice to suit everyone. This pub obviously takes great pride in the quality of ingredients it uses as well as having a fantastic chef. All the the staff were friendly and efficient. Thank you for making our stay with you in these difficult times so fantastic. We will definitely stay again."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Queens inn - excellent and friendly staff, lovely food and comfortable rooms all provided in difficult circumstances due to Covid restrictions. A welcome break and taste of normality from everything going on at the moment. We would thoroughly recommend a stay to anyone. Well done and good luck."

"Stayed two nights here while exploring Kent National Trust properties and Rye town. Beautifully appointed with double bed and sofa, and clean and bright bathroom with shower. Breakfast provided and small fridge was very handy for chilling wine and keeping milk cold. Several local pubs nearby including The Bull Inn next door. Quiet location ideal for our purpose. Great find and will definitely return if we visit this part of the country again."
"Had booked the hotel as had been gifted a wine tasting at Chapel Down. Accommodation was really lovely, big rooms that appear to have been recently renovated with everything you need for a great nights sleep. Super easy check in process too. - Taxis are a little on the pricey side at £20 each way to the Chapel Down vineyard - make sure you book in advance - Check directly with the local pubs to see if they are open (don't rely on website opening times!) if you're hoping to eat in the village"
"Booked a lodge for a bit of post operative recovery. Just what I needed, clean, comfortable and quiet. The room and bathroom are well appointed. The breakfast goodies were much appreciated and very tasty. Would definitely recommend and will stay again."

"This is not our first visit to 'Little Silver' over the years but is only the second time we have stayed during the warmer Summer weather. We booked via email with the hotel for 2 nights, on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Prior to our arrival, the hotel emailed through their 'Covid-19' measures that have been put in place to ensure that the Government guide lines are adhered to. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Mikki on reception who showed us to our ground-floor four-poster en-suite room. Mikki also explained the 'one-way' system operating in the hotel to ensure that 'social distancing' was maintained for the hotel guests and staff. We found our room clean and tidy with fresh towels and bed linen. In the evening we were greeted by Russell and served in the 'Oaks Restaurant' on the first evening by Toby. We found the menu perfectly adequate, with something for all tastes. Our meal was served promptly, well presented and cooked. In the morning, breakfast was again served in the 'Oaks Restaurant', with friendly attentive staff on hand. Again, our choice of breakfast was prompt, well cooked and presented to our table. In short, will we return to 'Little Silver', our answer being 'yes!' Many thanks to Russell, Mikki and all the other hotel staff who made our stay very enjoyable. "
"My wife and I were bought a night stop and wine tasting voucher for Christmas. Due to CV-19, we were only able to take this in October. Whilst the hotel is on a relatively busy road, there is ample parking space and we didn’t hear the traffic with the windows closed. The CV-19 safety precautions were all excellent. The staff were all welcoming and attentive. The food was also very impressive. Full english breakfast is probably one of the tastiest I’ve had in many years! Evening meals are also tasty and provide good VFM (cheese board, although only 3 cheeses, offered a good size portion and was beautiful!). "
"The Little Silver Country Hotel is well appointed both inside and out. It's located in a relaxing setting, with free parking. The Hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The bedroom was ideal with a stunning bathroom. The restaurant is excellent. Breakfast is superb. The staff are helpful, friendly & professional. A special mention needs to be made of Charli in reception for providing excellent customer service, and Russel In the restaurant.
A great place to stay. If you choose this hotel you won't be disappointed!"

"A pleasant hotel. Have known it for years when it used to be The Stakis Hotel and it could have gone the way of being very dated, but it hasn't. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. "

"We have been to many Premier Inns around the country over the years, always found them very consistently excellent. COVID and lockdown changed our weeks away habits and this was our 1st trip this year, an experiment if you like, Premier Inn had sent emails outlining the care and changes they had made to accommodate the new ‘normal’, were these just words, were we ready to try.... soooo pleased we did, right from walking in the door we felt safe, it was obvious Premier Inn have gone to great lengths to protect us. The rooms have been stopped down a little bit the comfort is still there. A very warm welcome at reception through to a warm goodbye at the end of our stay. We will get back to our old habits as soon as possible, watch out Premier Inn we have some travel catching up to do. "
"Free parking, nice friendly welcome, The hotel is next to the river Medway and is quite a pictureque area. I have stayed previously, if you have a ground floor you always seem to hear people walking on the floorboards above which I also had this time. The room was clean and comfortable no problems. The onsite restaurant seems as if it could do with a makeover, shame as its in a nice area, the service was OK, the food was not great, the salad had gone off and looked if had been cut up the previous week and the food in general slopped together on the plate, its not Michelin star but at least have some pride in what you serve. I did show the waitress who did say sorry but that was it, the restaurant was very quite as well, but it is tucked away. Will give it one more chance as on previous occasions the restaurant lets the stay down."
"We stayed here for 4 nights in October. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and felt safe with the Covid safety that had been put in place. We had a ground floor room which was spotlessly clean (I always take antibacterial wipes and cleaned everywhere, no dirt to be found!) The cleaners had done a brilliant job. Bed comfortable. Free car park. The hotel is by the river and is very picturesque. Would definitely stay here again if in the area."
