TOP 10 Williamsburg Hotels

Wife and I Stayed over the Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our recent anniversary. We have stayed at most of the Historic Williamsburg hotels and this one several times in the past. We love the historic area and it is so nice to be close and be able to walk around the area and to Merchant square without having to search for parking on a busy weekend. The Lodge is very nice and the rooms well appointmented and decorated. This weekend we paid over $400 per night. The most consistent and disappointing problem we encounter every time we stay is the mattresses are terrible. This weekend was no different as it was a king bed which sagged deeply in both sleeping sides and gave little to no support. My wife and I both developed back pain after the first night and it only got worse the second. Again we have stayed at most of the properties in the historic area and even the colonial houses and this has more often than not been a problem. I think they just don't switch out the mattresses for new ones often enough and they get very worn and uncomfortable. We love the historic area very much and always enjoy our walks through the area, but this might be the last time we stay at a colonial property. You would think being a Marriott property it would be better now, but it is not.

Only complaints would be no microwave in the room and no breakfast what so ever. The place is nice. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathroom is small but clean and shower is good, nice water pressure and plenty of hot water.

Great place to stay. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable. So many places to eat nearby. People at the desk were very nice and helpful. Could not hear any noise next door or above and was able to sleep good.

Made a spontaneous trip to wburg with friends and the first holiday inn we booked was filled w kids (legit like 50 in the lobby) and did not have any of the amenities advertised to us so we cancelled as soon as we got there. Started calling around and this one had one open room. We spoke with Jan who was immediately so helpful and we drove to this location. Jan went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay. She gave us good recommendations on places to go to, made sure we had directions/safe ride there and home, and a button popped off my dress and she had a sewing kit ready to go for me (no joke!!). Honestly I was not expecting to have such a good stay but the staff here is incredible! The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, the bar has good drinks, but the staff made the trip so much better. If you’re going to Williamsburg for whatever reason just stay here and ask for Jan. Was not planning on visiting again for a while but we had so much fun at Busch gardens and such a nice stay here it’s worth another trip! Miles was also super friendly, and went out of his way for us during our stay. We did not want to leave!! 5/5 stars you will not regret staying here!

Send the kids to school and come to Williamsburg. The location of the hotel is good, and the room size is relatively large. Winter is the off-season, the house price is still cheap, and the service is also very good.

If the breakfast had been up to par, this hotel would have been a 5. From the time we walked in we were greeted warmly. A request for a room change was happily granted to accommodate a different bed arrangement. The young woman at the desk (Bernadette) was kind and so helpful. Each time we entered or exited the hotel she spoke to us, asking about our day and if she could help with anything. I've never been made to feel so welcomed! This is a newer hotel. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed after long days at the park. The only shortcoming was breakfast. Unfortunately, help was an issue here. The breakfast was slow to come out and be refilled. The selections were fewer than at most HI Express and lacking in quality and quantity. Guests were standing to wait for coffee and hot water as well as food. However, the bright spot was a young man named DIVINE. He definitely lives up to his name. He was handling EVERYTHING! The desk, housekeeping issues, and helping with breakfast. He did it with enthusiasm, courtesy, and a positive attitude. I'm giving the hotel a pass on this breakfast experience this time (due to the crazy times of no available help) and would definitely make them my first choice for my next visit. And for goodness sake - please bring back the original cinnamon rolls! :)

Breakfast is just like that. Many ordinary hotels in the United States are just like that, and they barely meet the requirements. The location is not bad, two kilometers from the College of William and Mary. The room is very hygienic, especially the toilet, no need to worry. The bed was very comfortable, and I fell asleep when I was lying down. Only note: no slippers in the room, no kettle, you need to find your own way. Overall great experience!

The hotel is definitely the most cost-effective hotel in Williamsburg. Who lives? Who knows that there are two toilets, two bathrooms, one dining table and two sofas. The hotel does not need to be cleaned every day. Before checking out, you need to clean up all the trash on the desktop. If you use tableware or the like, you must clean it and put it back. If you use tableware but don’t wash dishes, or there is too much uncleaned garbage in the room when you check out, you may be charged a cleaning fee of at least 35 dollars. The reason why this hotel is cheap is more because many things are self-service. The cost will be lowered if the staff asks for less. Consumers also have cheaper and more cost-effective rooms. The front desk staff is very friendly and recommends that if conditions permit, try not to live on the first floor. The room on the first floor is not too humid and it is a little bit humid.
