Had arrived from the Hilton in Harrogate which was brilliant. Had high hopes for the brand when I arrived at this hotel. Walked in to reception and all I can say is appearances can be deceiving. Once you look past the chandeliers and flowers it’s evident this isn’t up to the usual Hilton standard. The first receptionist I spoke to was either shy or new. Very basic service, more time spent looking at the screen. Had to ask the usual questions, breakfast times/location:car parking payment etc.. Got told it was on my key card. That’s great but I’m asking you in person and having stayed at many hotels this is usually standard. The rooms are very basic and the hotel does need modernising. The receptionist kindly moved me (thank you Eva) as I could hear everything in the original room I was allocated, and the adjoining door between my room and the one next door didn’t seem to secure.. I found the family room I was given slightly more modern but the beds creaked awfully. Luckily I always take ear plugs. Bathrooms had those horrible shower heads that emit shed loads of spray, not ideal if you are trying not to get your hair wet and just have a wash. They do provide shower caps though. There is also a reminder to be vigilant with the shower curtain as the spray shower heads soak everything! Food in the restaurant was mediocre but prompt. Hilton prices without quality. Had the risotto which was essentially pea and cream, no taste of mint. It was a huge portion though and served quickly. Girls on service were very friendly but had to be reminded as to service. I was also given pudding without a spoon, had to go exploring as there were no staff to help find one. Pudding was bizarre, a lemon sponge thing on a bed of granola. Tasted like a dandelion. Had intended to use the gym, but to be honest I didn’t want to stay here longer than I needed to. In sum, not awful but not great. Standard no higher than a Holiday Inn, albeit they are more modern and don’t charge their guests for parking.

Always a great stay and stuff are brilliant. Never been disappointed. Always come to stay when I travel for work in Northampton.

Excellent stay! Staff were very friendly from being greeted on our arrival by Mandy to breakfast where Karen was a delight to evenings in the lounge where Bo was very pleasant there were many others sorry to not include. Nice cool rooms. Stones throw from the shopping area. The lounge was nice to sit in the evening and have some food and drinks. The breakfast was amazing, lots on offer and all tasty. The health club was great didn’t go in the pool but went in the gym and steam room and enjoyed it and the bloke who was working In there sorry didn’t get a name was very helpful and friendly. Even being so close to a busy road there was no noise (room 233). Couldn’t get the TV to work but I wasn’t there to watch TV so this wasn’t a big deal. Overall was very happy with the stay and will definitely be back next time I’m that way. Couldn’t fault it thank you.

Stayed in Junior Suite 146. Nice and spacious. We ate in the bar and the food was well presented and very tasty. We were well looked after by the gentleman behind the bar who I think his name was Kevin. He was extremely polite and attentive and made an excellent mojito cocktail.

Reviews From Real Travelers
I booked this hotel as part of a package which included afternoon tea and tickets to Bletchley Park. This was meant to be a special treat for my husband's 60th birthday. I was impressed by the photo of the Deluxe Double room on their website. A couple of days before we went I gave my husband all the info, including the photo of the room which I was expecting. We set off on our almost 3 hour journey, excited for a luxury break. We arrived a little early for check in so decided to have our afternoon tea whilst waiting. The tea was lovely, very filling and the Laura Ashley tearoom was as beautiful as the pictures on their website. We checked in at the beautiful reception area, walked through the lounge area, saw the bar and restaurant on our way to our room, again beautifully presented, everything we expected from a luxury 4 star hotel. Sadly, that's where it stopped. We were first shown to room 104, our deluxe double. It was disgusting. Filthy carpet, thick black dust in front of the furniture, what appeared to be a large orange/yellow vomit stain on the carpet, stained and ripped soft furnishings. The bathroom was no better, broken toilet flush, rusty shower fittings, rusty light fitting, split and peeling woodwork and paint peeling off the walls. The deluxe double room was not what was shown on the website. We immediately asked to be moved. We were moved to the room next door. Again, this room was as filthy as the other, again cracked woodwork, peeling paint round the sink, a used cottonbud on the floor by the bin, the two 'leather' chairs that had fabric that was cracked and missng on the seats and arms and was only fit for the tip. The window seat waa stained and ripped and surfaces and carpet again thick with dust, and still didnt look like the room I booked. At this point I rang the agent we booked through. They spoke to someone at the hotel as the General Manager - Andrew - wasnt in. The staff member then came and said they were moving us again, to a ”Premier deluxe room” a free upgrade apparently and also offered us a free drink in the bar, which we declined. Hallelujah!! Spoke too soon. The premier bit presumably applied to the nespresso machine, the trouser press, and the canopy thing over the bed which wasnt present in the other rooms. However, on first look it did appear to be more acceptable and the bathroom was at least clean. The bed area was not great, the curtain/canopy thing over the bed was thick with dust, the hospitality tray was also thick with dust, the nesspresso machine was unusable due to its covering of thick dust. It was, sadly, tired and dirty and baring no resemblance to what we booked. The room wasnt serviced at all during our 2 night stay. By this time it was 6pm, we'd had a long journey and there was no other choice but to accept the room. The following day we spent at Bletchley Park which was amazing. We left as early as possible the following morning. Now here's the interesting bit - on checkout I asked, whe

We spent two nights here and were impressed with our room, 106 which overlooked the courtyard. My wife wasn't too good on our first night so didn't fancy breakfast, I took some toast up to our room with some fruit teas and asked if there were any biscuits. I couldn't see any on the buffet but the suited chap went out of his way to find some which was much appreciated. All was well the next day, breakfast was enjoyed as was the remaining stay at the hotel. We parked at first in the car park which is part of the hotel but it was a bit tight so upon our return we used the adjacent car park which connects by foot to the courtyard car park. Checkout was painless all the staff we met were efficient and courteous, we didn't examine the room forensically and we found it to be worth what we paid.

Every nook and cranny in The White Hart oozes grand antiquity and contemporary retrofitting has ensured comfort instead of a dated environ usually synonymous with aged structures. The White Hart hits the right buttons with tasteful decor and attention to details. There’re ‘gargles’ from old pipes probably and a cranky air-conditioner but I’m too tired to take note. I’m aware only because I’m a light sleeper. The only drawback was the overly long prep time for my breakfast, which I had to miss unfortunately due to a lack of time. Nonetheless the manager on duty exercised discretion for not charging me for a take-out lunch requested when I’m seated for breakfast.

We were turned away from a nearby café bar so came in asking if they could accommodate a party of 7 adults and 3 very young kids. The staff were very welcoming and it was no problem for them whatsoever. They put us all on 1 large table with high chairs for the kids. The breakfast itself was very good quality and the young lady who looked after us (Gracie) was cheerful, polite, friendly, unflappable and extremely competent. Being turned away from the other place did us a favour - would thoroughly recommend!

Very trendy hotel with new facilities and reasonable price. There is a large Sainsbury's supermarket opposite which is very convenient. There are also several good restaurants nearby. However, the shower in the bathroom is not surrounded by bathtubs and tubs, and the water can easily splash and wet places other than the shower. The overall stay experience is very good, cost-effective, it is worth recommending.

Good location which take 10 mins from Train station. A very big supermarket next to hotel, and many restaurants around that easy to have food or replenishment from supermarket. Good service, staff is nice and helpful!! A welcome cocktail on arrival, so lovely.

Stayed here last minute as an anniversary getaway (all we wanted was a night away from the kids and to eat dinner in peace). We were greeted by a lovely receptionist called Arun who was very friendly and helpful. The pool is warm and clean and the sauna was a nice addition. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was good and served quickly by friendly staff. The room is basic but comfortable, clean and spacious. I feel like this is a very good value for money hotel and would definitely come back again, especially as the staff are so friendly.

The hotel is actually very good, but although the order is confirmed, but because the hotel room is overbooked, the hotel only has Ctrip customer service phone, but the contact is not available. When we arrived, we found out that the hotel had found a living room with a bathroom but no shower. The living room was a sofa bed, but this room was free and a free breakfast was delivered. The service is not bad.
