Reviews From Real Travelers
We are DVC and bagged a room at the VGC in early August. First thing- the building and lobby and overall vibe are beautiful. The bell person who greeted us was outstanding, Sorry didn’t get his name but he’s 50s, slim guy, and extremely talkative and helpful, the true ‘Disney Difference’ type employee. Check in was a very slow and lengthy experience although the lady was very nice. Queues at 3pm. This could be speeded up. Room wasn’t obtained until just after 4. We had a disappointing outlook room, ground floor, corner, facing directly at back entrance to Californian Adventure. Security guards stood around and no real barrier for privacy so never sat on patio. However, we realised the room had some advantages in that you could be in the park in about 40 steps. Room was nice enough. Would I pay over $1000 a night for it cash? Not worth it but booked on points. They are getting so they need a refurb although still in decent shape. It was all very dark though, perhaps not helped by room position in bottom corner of hotel. Craftsman’s bar was a bit disappointing for food. It was OK quality but very, very slow at coming out. Mine was comped. The bar itself with live music is lovely though and cocktails good. Pool is beautiful but at the same time disappointing. It’s disappointing because there are not enough sun loungers. This is partly due to Disney greed, who have turned over about a third of the already too small pool area to paying cabanas. This is partly due to lack of management. They are meant to have wristbands on people, but half did not have them and half the time there were no staff on the gate to put them on. I personally witnessed at 8am a family coming in the front of the hotel who didn’t seem to be staying there (very easy to get in despite needing a key card as the gate is constantly opened onto the sidewalk) who I saw walk into the pool area, they had no card and waited for gate to open and went in. Disney can see from the reviews on Tripadvisor this pool seating issue is a major problem. They need to do something about it. If that includes removing the cabana area and taking a hit on upcharges, they need to do it. They need to get really strict on pool management and wrist bands. When you are paying this much for a hotel, not being able to get sun beds is totally unacceptable. Shame as pool itself is lovely and live music even in the day. The characters also seemed to plead daily at around 4 pm for a pool party. Gym great. The DVC team here here we’re very nice people. Obviously location is fantastic.

We stayed in the Fantasy tower for 2 nights with 2 adults and 3 older kids. We absolutely loved everything about it. The atmosphere was just magical. Staff always super friendly and helpful. The beds were lovely and comfy and the air con was quiet. Loved that we could put all our luggage under the beds. The sleeper sofa was great because it was an extra bed without taking up precious floor space. I was very surprised how big the room actually was and I felt like they had thought of everything. Loved how close it was to the action and the pools were so beautiful. The gym was well equipped. Only thing I'd say is it probably need another food option or two to cater for all the guests. We didn't want to leave and the next hotel felt pathetic after staying here.

The service was amazing, as expected with Disney. Its not cheap, but worth every penny. We had an amazing trip- 11 people total ranging from 2yrs to 72yrs. The 3-bdrm suite was a great space to spread out. The cabana had entertainment by the pool and great service for ordering food, drinks. Its close to downtown disney which is a quick walk or monorail trip to the parks. Overall service was excellent and it was a really fun experience!

We loved it! Kids had so much fun! Our room was very clean and the customer service was very friendly. Don't leave without trying their food.

The bed on the upper and lower floors is a bright spot, the room is bigger, and the outdoor pool is nice. A little walk from Disney is acceptable.

I used two family suites during the third generation trip during the year-end and New Year holidays. There was a little distance from the entrance because it was located at the back of the building, but you can go to the entrance of Disneyland in 15 minutes on foot, and there is a drug store and a pizza shop as soon as you cross the intersection, so the location is very good. The age of the buildings and facilities could not be denied, but there was also laundry and it was enough if the hotel only played and returned to sleep.
The family who returned to the room earlier locked the inner key and asked the front desk, but there was a happening that caused him to borrow an extension because he could not open it due to security. Please be careful with inner keys!

Ok the place is very busy (not a problem) but the staff there are very unknowledgeable and will pass you from one desk to another. All we got was “I am so sorry , I don’t know” on several attempts to get info, including price for Wi-Fi access in our room
The rooms had cobwebs on the sprinkler and the lamp shades.
I won’t be staying there again

First-class environmental facilities, the hotel is very new. But the credit card charges randomly. Since the order included breakfast for 4, why was breakfast charged again? The service attitude of the Asian female leader at breakfast is very poor. She was told that she can only eat cold food and no hot food... In fact, there is no hot food at all. It is not as good as the domestic three-star breakfast. Where does the confidence to coax come from?

In fact, the cleanliness of the room, the service, and the facilities are all very good, but the breakfast for three people was specially ordered when the room was booked, and the breakfast was charged 86 US dollars. Feel uncomfortable.

Love the hotel! This was our second visit and of course we had to go back to Charles Whitfield when we checked in. He helped us on our last visit and he didn’t disappoint this time around. He is definitely a knowledgeable, respectful, helpful employee. Thanks for the great experience.

It is suitable for families to drive, because the hotel does not have slippers, toothbrushes, etc. Don't expect too high for breakfast. The environment is pretty good, basically the hotels that locals choose.

The transit stop of the No. 1 road is self-driving. Later, I thought about it. I should have a foot on the door and book a hotel with a beach. Overall the location is very convenient, the hotel environment is also good, parking is free, there is a small bathtub, there is a gym, there is a swimming pool, there is a laundry room, laundry / drying clothes for 30 minutes, each 2 knife (calculated), the room is big enough, breakfast 15 Knife (sleeping too far to eat). It takes about 10 minutes to drive out for dinner.

Very good hotel. There is a kitchen, convenient. The room is large. Breakfast is also very good. Very close to Disney, about 10 minutes walk. There is a convenience store downstairs, etc.
