"We stayed for a long weekend with the kids utilizing their one-bedroom suite. We would have loved the two-bedroom, but those were all booked. Our room was spacious, had a nice kitchen, and everything was clean. Pool was clean and had towels available at poolside. Breakfast, even with Covid-19, was a nice continental assortment. Everything was individually wrapped. Utilized the app to request extra towels and pillows prior to our arrival. However, that, although marked done on the app, was not in our room. Our major complaint was the bed in the bedroom. It was absolutely horrible. Everything else was so nice, we expected the beds to be same. Honestly, my husband and I both have differing tastes for beds, but we both agreed that it was the worst bed we had ever slept on — and we’ve been in some doozies of rooms before. It was literally painful. We had to use pillows to lay on for it to even be possible to sleep—and that still left us hurting the next day. I know it sounds like an exaggeration, but I can’t even explain how surprising and disappointing this was. We’ve never had any other issues in Marriott owned hotels. So—hope that you don’t get Room 204!"
"This is the first time that I have stayed at this location, although I have stayed at other TownePlace Suites throughout the US; however, this is the first location I have stayed at that not only has a cooktop but also a small oven to use. The addition of the oven makes cooking dinner for myself that much more convenient. The rooms are maintained wonderfully and the staff does a great job of keeping the rooms clean. The room I am in has more storage than any hotel I have been in prior. The only complaint is occasionally the internet speed is so slow that I am unable to do anything online. This is fairly consistent with other hotels that I have stayed at and usually the internet speed picks back up shortly. One very nice feature is the TV does have smart access so you can watch Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming services right on the TV. I will definitely stay here again should I find myself in Yuma again."
"While we were forced to leave the Springhill Suites before our scheduled departure date, the TownPlace Suites welcomed us with open arms. Not only with the 2 bedroom suites spacious, they were well maintained by a very friendly and accommodating housekeeping staff. I initially had a problem with the lock on my door, the staff was right on it and apologized for any inconvenience. In addition, since we left each morning before the official start of breakfast at 0600h, the front desk staff prepared a breakfast in a bag so we did not miss breakfast-VERY THOUGHTFUL. I will be staying at the TownPlace Suites next time we are in Yuma, Arizona for business."
