Traveled back to Zermatt, and to Hotel Julen to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The Hotel was as charming in 2024 as it was in 1989! The room was wonderful with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, and the front desk was extremely helpful as my husband got injured on the slopes and we needed special accommodations during our stay. We did the half board and the meals were outstanding. Breakfast included hot and cold items, and dinners had incredible choices. We never doubted our decision to stay in the hotel for dinners . We also enjoyed the spa - sauna and steam rooms were large and the pool was also great.

Very recommended, the room for 3 people, the room size is a room, a hall, a sofa bed in the hall, a balcony, the balcony is not facing the Matterhorn. Very clean, with electric curtains, air conditioning through TV control, bathroom supplies are also good, minibar free and daily replenishment, beer, cola, iced black tea, soda and mineral water, breakfast all Western style, a lot of fruit varieties. The small town of Zermatt is not big. The hotel is opposite the cable car station of Wuhu Hiking. It takes 10 minutes to get to the train station. The cable car to the gornergrat observation deck is opposite the train station. More comfortable than living in Wengen

This hotel is too fond of it! The decoration of the hotel is very beautiful and the room can see the snowy mountains! The service staff was very good at night. It was like waiting for us to call out my name. I also prepared wine and tea as a welcome drink. Breakfast is delicious, although there are not many types, but the whole environment will make you enjoy it. I will book it next time and ask the front desk to tell you all kinds of information. The store that rents ski clothes downstairs will also give you a 10% discount.

During 2 nights we stayed at the Hotel Ambassador. The hotel is centrally located - a few steps from the train station. Ideal ! Makes a good, maintained impression from outside. The room is very beautiful and consistently furnished. The mattresses are very comfortable and comfortable. Here everything has been fit. Breakfast buffet was rich. Something in this regard for every taste....The staff was aware and emigrant - but something overburdened with cleaning, discovering, filling up buffet and giving information. Fairly, you must say that people were also somewhat untolerant. The Wermut Tropps when checking in: nice reception - official language English ! No word German. I personally find this a tribute to people who may not understand and express themselves so well with the English language. Zermatt International goes or goes. In the many shops, restaurants and shops in the village, it is best working with German and/or dialect. I am Swiss and I want to understand myself as Swiss in Switzerland as well...

Getting a room in Zermatt during the peak winter season is quite challenging without committing to a certain minimum number of room nights. We were fortunate to book a room at Hotel Derby for one night, which fits our tight travel schedule. Several things we loved about this hotel: 1. The location - It is easily accessible on foot and situated along a busy street, only a minute's walk from Zermatt train station. 2. The guest rooms - They are recently renovated and beautifully furnished. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the peak of Matterhorn. Unfortunately, it was too cold in December that we didn't get to enjoy ourselves or stay out for long. 3. The breakfast - A wide selection of continental breakfast and it is included in the room rate. Even though it was a short stay for us, on the whole, the staff is amiable, and we highly recommend it.

The hotel has some traces of history. It is a traditional mountain cabin hotel, very authentic. The location is a bit far from Zermatt train station, but very close to the cable car station, making it very convenient to go to Glacier Paradise. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Although the facilities are relatively old, they have everything you need. It's a very cozy hotel. Thanks to the staff for upgrading our room to a double terrace room! One of the terraces faces the Matterhorn! Another terrace offers views of the river. Sitting on the terrace in the evening, having a simple dinner, enjoying the mountain view and the sound of running water, it is very relaxing. and! When you wake up in the morning, you can see the golden sunrise over the Matterhorn! The breakfast here is also delicious! Love their croissants the most. Very satisfied with this stay ~

The overall quality of Swiss hotels is really high, with details in place everywhere. The same is true of this hotel. The handsome guy at the front desk is really super enthusiastic. He will say hello every time he meets, and explain how to play the Matterhorn route when he checks in. The breakfast husband said that it was the fullest day in Europe. There are boiled eggs and fried eggs. Fried eggs are not salty and rare, and there are small cakes. This salmon is super fresh and has a lot of fruit. The best thing is that the juice is freshly squeezed, squeezed by yourself, and there is a special machine for pressing fruits. The room was clean, the bed was large and comfortable. The balcony is also nice and you can see the street view. By the way, there are minibars in the room, all of them are free. This is awesome. There are beer and various drinks in it. Seems like 6 bottles. The coffee in the coffee machine is also very good, but I didn't drink it. The hotel has a free mini bus, the front desk said it would take us, but it was useless and I wanted to go around by myself. Very pleasant stay, recommend everyone. The price is not cheap or expensive, around 1500 a night.

Pleasantly surprised by how big the room was! A rarity in Switzerland for sure. Modern furnishings a plus! Lovely surprise balcony with a sideways view of the town, nice to sit outside to unwind at the end of the long day. Bathroom was rather lacking in character compared to the room and bath tub/screen was quite inconvenient. But basic amenities are there, two sinks + separate WC were appreciated. Breakfast was average, adequate but not great spread. No swimming pool, bare gym, uninspiring suana area for a 4* hotel so manage your expectations accordingly. Location very close to train station (5 mins), off a quiet corner, complimentary luggage shuttle would be nice instead of charging CHF12 for what is literally a 1 minute ride in a buggy.

If you want to experiece fine service this is the place to visit. Full of praise for the entire staff. Located in a peaceful area and within walking distance of all activities, restaurants, marketplace and station. You enter you are so warmly greeted and the ambience around makes you immediately feel that you are in for a great experience. The handwritten welcome note , chocolates , customised pillow options , room ammeneties , mini bar with.compimentary drinks and on departure again a handwritten note with a bag of goodies shows how caring they are for their guests. Room was spacious and a balcony with a Matterhorn view. Housekeeping was very good. We are vegetarian and on our whole trip this was the only hotel where we relished the breakfast. Their compimentary pick up and drop service was another highlight. Above all as mentioned earlier all praise for their staff for making our stay memorable. A top notch hotel which deserves a five star rating.
