Sabhy: One of the main attractions of dunhuang. Ticket to enter the park is 110 yuan/person. Upon entering if you scan your face, you can come back to the park next day without paying extra money. Next we follow signs for camel ride. For camel ride it is 100 yuan/person. The ticket has the tag number of the camel. You will be waiting for a few mins and take off with exciting times ahead with your camel. The ride was almost 3 hours long, covering around 3-4 kms in the sands. You’ll be taken to a spot near the peak range where you have the chance to participate in fun activities like sliding, car riding etc, while the camels take an intermediate break. Then you’ll be taken to the main park area towards the crescent moon lake. This place is awesome with mind blowing view. You can enjoy the place or, then walk towards the sand dune peak, take paragliding (400 - 800 yuan) activities etc etc.

Amba: Must visit place in dunghuang .. we went in the afternoon and spent 6 hours there .. But you can wind-up in less hours if you are only focused in camel ride ... tickets are 110 per person ..camel ride is 100, with kid is I guess 120 per person ..but if you take any photos by the camel rider with your phone then have to pay 20 yuan extra per person ... we were 4 people so we paid 80 yuan to that person ... Then I have done dessert biking in 150 for small distance .. for large distance it is 300 yuan .. they have a big dessert bike which can carry 3 people together which is 660 .. Another activity is paragliding which has 3 types ... I did for 480 .. they have 380,480,680 three categories depending on the distance ... nice place .. you can spend whole day if you have time and can enjoy the place .. I really liked the place most .. Thank you..

ViviL: We had an amazing day at the ancient city. it’s located like 30 mins by taxi away from downtown. The small village is a fantastic spot for photography. You can rent a Chinese outfit and pay for profesional camera photo for only 200RMB. Sabhy: Great historical place to visit. For foreigners usually have morning 9.30 and afternoon 2.30 slots with english guide. Once you buy the tickets (238+20 yuan) from the counter, you can enter directly. You’ll be guided to a theatre hall to watch the history of silk route and inside of mogao cave. Then you’ll take a bus towards the main site of mogao caves a few kms from the visitor center. Upon entering there is a service center. If you are foreigner someone’ll approach you and get you the guide. Then the guide will take through the caves. No photography allowed inside the cave. Each cave is unique with unique style of painting and budhha statue. The face and structure of the sculptures changes across the dynasties and the people who have made or contributed to the grottoes. There are some food stalls and souvenir shop around the grottoes area.

Trip.com User: Amazing place to visit close to Dunhuang! The two mandatory movies before heading to the grottos was annoying. however, once you are at the grottos, that annoyance is quickly forgotten. What sets this grotto apart from the other famous ones in China is the free English guides (french and german as well i think). i went in the off season and had an English guide to myself. it was very educational, and made the Mogao grottos more significant amd memorable than other grottos.
