Reviews from Real Guests:

Trip.com User: I like the near city most. I have already left my mark 20 years ago. I only came back to see a few changes ten years ago. I have really become a big city recently. I don't worry about entertainment. I am very trendy. I find that the surrounding area is not the same. Only the Qixingyan has not changed, but the road is good, adding the characteristics of the border area. There are more staff, the service attitude is good, and it feels comfortable.

Trip.com User: Qixingyan - Honglian Bridge Tianzhuyan Reclining Buddha Handan Longyan Cave can not miss the attractions, but unfortunately the weather was not good on the day of the tour and there are several entrances and exits. Mei'an is a Buddhist nunnery that retains the architectural style of the Northern Song Dynasty and is used to commemorate Huineng, the sixth patriarch of Zen Buddhism. According to legend, Huineng, the sixth patriarch of the Zen sect in the Tang Dynasty, planted plums on Mei'an Hill with his own hands when he passed Zhaoqing. During the Northern Song Dynasty, monk Zhiyuan built a nunnery on the spot where Huineng planted plums and named it Mei'an. Mei'an is a rare thousand-year-old temple in Lingnan. It is also one of the very old wooden buildings in Guangdong Province. It is built with Lingnan characteristics. The whole temple is not big, and the incense is not very strong, so it is very clean. The main building consists of three parts: the mountain gate, the Daxiong Hall and the Zushi Hall. The mountain gate is a Qing Dynasty building with brick and wood structure. Then the Daxiong Hall, located behind the mountain gate, is a very important building in Mei'an, and the entire hall retains a rare simplicity. It completely retains the shape and practice of the wooden frame in the Song Dynasty, and has strong Lingnan characteristics. The bucket arches under the eaves will catch your eye at once. This kind of wooden structure called "shuangpi, three descending and seven paving" is the only example of wooden architecture in Guangdong known to be known as the Northern Song Dynasty. There is also the Huineng Deeds Exhibition Hall at the back. The introduction of the sixth patriarch Huineng is also a major sightseeing feature of Mei'an. In addition, in front of the mountain gate, there is still a well that Huineng dug in the past, which is called "The Sixth Patriarch Well".
