房子坐落於一個鄉村中，房主外出給我們留了紙條在門上，我們順利的進了房間。裏面非常温馨，如果家人朋友多的話，強烈推薦租那套獨立的兩層小屋，有三個房間，住起來挺方便的。我尤其喜歡那個可以燒柴火的壁爐。

Food was amazing. We had Sunday lunch and breakfast. Lovley crackling on the pork was delicious. Beds were really comfy and Rooms were spotless. Full English breakfast was really good and the chef made fruit compote and muesli were absolutely sublime.Would highly recommend.

Just returned from the most wonderful stay in Plum Cottage at the Compasses Inn. We've eaten at the Compasses before and loved it and so we decided to return with some friends and stay at Plum Cottage this time. What a treat! The cottage is absolutely stunning with wonderful attention to detail - every little thing has been considered to ensure you have a fantastic stay. It's been decorated with a clean and modern style which beautifully compliments the olde worlde style of the pub. We felt very lucky to be able to step out of the door of the cottage and straight into the pub and then not have to travel after our superb dinner. Our trip was finished off perfectly with a delicious breakfast the following morning. It was an ideal mini-break which we would recommend to anyone looking to treat themselves. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

Excellent little pub with lovely atmosphere. A little off the beaten track, but this is what makes it such a homely venue. Ample parking. Lovely home cooked food throughout and very nice selection of wine. This was a lunchtime visit and we would definitely recommend.

The room was clean, comfortable and despite the heavy rain, very quiet. We had a great evening meal with a very good choice of wines. All the food was freshly prepared. We were the only residents for breakfast and were offered a wide choice of dishes. The staff were very friendly and they made us (and the dog) most welcome.

Excellent food from this lovely hidden away gem. A marsala fish cake… and green chilli burger - pub food but with oodles of flavour. Really interesting take on a typical pub menu - the seasoning, and flavour way exceeded expectations. Delish!

We choose the Compasses (for my husbands birthday lunch) after reading the good reviews. The building is an 'olde worlde' traditional village pub. The menu is small but the choice is adequate. We both decided on the Rump Steak, Salad and Chips. The steak was nicely cooked, medium as we requested. The salad was a frilly lettuce leaf soaked in a sharp dressing. The chips were over overcooked, tasteless and dry. I don't consider a lettuce to be a salad and the chips to come from a packet. Needless to say we won't be back.

We come across this little gem… and wow, what an amazing place!!!! The staff were so friendly, the pub itself is very quaint and rural, the setting was perfect. The garden was fantastic, was beautiful sitting there in the sunshine. The food itself was super tasty and delicious! We will definitely be returning and recommend highly to others to visit this beautiful place!

On the way down to Somerset, we broke up the journey with a lovely overnight stay at compasses Inn. From booking in to departure, all of the staff were friendly and it was lovely sitting in front of a roaring fire after a long afternoon stroll in the beautiful nearby surroundings. The evening meal and breakfast were both top quality with a decent range of drinks and local beers. Overall, a lovely stay and one I hope to repeat in the near future.
