Raniban Retreat

Hello again Raniban! Thank you so much for looking after my group so well over the last couple of weeks. You are blessed with a magical position and add to the magic with professional attentive and helpful staff. It's a perfect start to trekking with wonderful hill walks and lots of steps! And a perfect place to come back to after the mountains. My group were all impressed and will sing your praises everywhere. Good food, spotlessly clean, and views to die for! We had the choice of either a mountain view or a sunrise view, we chose the mountain view and it was amazing. The views from everywhere were amazing. Only downside was the spa was not available. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was good.

Loved my experience. My first stay at Raniban Retreat goes back to December 2017. I am so fortunate to be able to spend time there again this November. They are making improvements in the facilities. The lodging still provides a majestic view of both Fewa lake and the Annapurna mountain range. Another bonus was we were the only guest that night. While there were limitations in service due to the Diwali/Deepawali holidays, the staff still made sure we were well taken care of, and they did. Service was personalised and we appreciated it. Food never fails. Having a dining experience amidst the magnificent views was an experience in itself. Tasty and authentic dishes were brought from the kitchen to our table. We had all our meals at their restaurant during our overnight stay. The lodging is accessible to both the World Peace Pagoda and the Pumdikot religious area. We were able to trek to these two places without any problems. Very safe and close proximity. (Please note that this is the same review I wrote in Google.)

We simply booked this property, given the high prices, for the view of snow clad mountains. But to our disappointment the weather was really hazy due to pollution and could not get any view. We booked the room for two nights but check out after first night as the place is at a secluded place over the hill top and away from Pokhara town and has nothing much to do. The property is quite expensive and the facilities provided are not worth the price. Taxi charges NRP 3000 for a single trip from this hotel to Pokhara lake. The room rent includes the breakfast but the breakfast they provide is fixed and anything extra is chargeable. Overall not worth the stay apart from the view it provides of the Pokhara Lake and town. We reached quite late in the night and its quite difficult to locate the Hotel in night. We had to ask for directions from the hotel staff again and again. As we were travelling since morning by road the the road conditions were really bad, everyone was quite hungry. On the way we called the Hotel and requested them to prepare some food so that we can have some food after we arrive. But to our disappointment the Hotel staff said that their kitchen is closed and they can not provide food. Hotel near the Pokhara Lake are good and this place must be avoided except if the view is available.

The hotel was great in pokhara. However, the route to the hotel was not easy. It cost $1200 nepali rupees from pokhara downtown to the hotel and $1800 to the airport. Even though you took taxi, we still need to climb up a little bit. It would be dangerous if it was raining heavily. The scenic view was great here, you could see the snow mountain in a sunny day and enjoy the nightscape or Pokhara. The staff here were nice and polite and the food was excellent. They do breakfast good. Only recommend to come after the construction and the road condition was better.

Loved my time here. I was staying here for 4 days. Got a room with mountain view. I got to see the most spectacular sunrise and sunset each day! Very little disturbance from around. Literally the best place to stay in in all of Pokhara. I m coming back again soon, inshallah.

In case of accommodation everybody love their own house the most. On that note i can say I have a heavenly house in Pokhara on the hilltop of Raniban with a breathholding view of the Himalayas and tranquility that's called "Raniban Retreat." Site head Pradip Dai (a true gentleman) driver Dasu Ram ji they became like family member. And the director Akshov ji, how helpful he is! We stayed there for 4 nights and we shall recall these memories and hospitality of them till our last breath. And i don't know what to tell about the delicious & fresh meals we had there. I can only say, we will must be back there again and again if almighty allows. I wish Raniban Retreat may go a very long way and provide hospitality to the nature-lovers & seekers of peace for upcoming thousands of years.

There was no proper way to reach the property , It is located in jungle and there is no road to reach the place. You can't reach here after 6pm and locals are charging 3000NPR for one way trip to this place.
