Location: The hotel is centrally located in Aberdeen, with easy access to restaurants, pubs, cinemas, shopping centers, and landmarks such as Marischal College and His Majesty's Theatre. It's conveniently close to train and bus stations, making it ideal for exploring the city without needing transport.

Give this place a swerve and avoid. Could have been lovely but for the hole where a window should have been (and lack of interest in putting it right). The top floor of an apartment block in January in Aberdeen is a gusty place to be. There have been several named storms already this year. Apparently one ripped the window off before we arrived. Unfortunate for the property and they have my sympathy. But they really should not have gone ahead and let me attempt to stay there. I arrived Friday, discovered the damage right outside the bedroom door and tried to get away with keeping the door closed. Unfortunately this just resulted in a banging door all night and no sleep. So I had to prop the door ajar to stop the banging… and spend the night huddled in my coat. I messaged the owner the next morning and was assured it would be dealt with. Several noisy freezing nights later with no sleep I gave up on a repair and moved out. I am now chasing a refund… nothing. I got a phone call today (after I’ve left) telling me they’ve now got a piece of glass to repair the window. Also telling me that they thought I’d been the one to break the window and so would be expected to pay. Seriously?? I put them straight on that with the evidence of my messages and photographs and pointed out that the apartment should not have been let in such an uninhabitable state … and I am less interested in their plans to repair the window than in hearing they will refund me. So far my requests have been ignored or I’ve been told to talk to the booking agent… who has sent me back to the owner. Poor apartment, lack of care, lack of service, lack of responsibility. For the price you can do much better

I'll describe the situation. I was to be Best Man at a wedding on Saturday, and had booked an apartment well in advance that was dog friendly, in the right location in the city. The groomsmen were to get ready on the Saturday morning in the apartment, before traveling together to the wedding venue. Arriving to find that the booking was not being honored, we were left standing in an alleyway in 3 degrees in a city we are unfamiliar with, with our dog, our wedding outfits and all our luggage. On trying to contact the owner/operator, they would only respond by text. The sum total of this was to deny the existence of our booking, despite all the confirmation messages in the days leading up to it, during the booking period, and after! As a result we checked into the nearest available dog-friendly hotel, the Ibis, then called ***********, who enedeavored to find out what was going on. The owner/operator had a way to contact me directly prior to arrival, but chose not to, instead hiding behind the *********** system, and blaming *********** rather than taking responsibility. They could've arranged alternative accommodation for us, or at least let us know in advance of arrival. I have reason to believe they booked the whole building to a corporate event, and simply decided to screw us over. The owner/operator needs to understand just how unacceptable this was, and the degree to stress and disruption caused. We continued to get automated messages about "Welcome to Aberdeen", "We hope you're enjoying your stay", "We hope you like the bottle of complimentary wine" etc. This only served to make the experience even more infuriating.
