Room was no were near the advertised standard., though clean and with standard facilities.
Room had a strong mothballs smell, and being next to a main road, windows don't isolate enough from car's noise

Niece travelled over from Shetland with her partner as she was due to give birth ( she has now) at the Aberdeen Matefnity hospital. They arrived slightly early to find the place locked and had to wait around, eventually they got into thier room (see photos) ok it is a two star hotel but seriously, do this lot employ cleaners. The heating was not working, due to the state of the room and no heating I suggested a complaint was made and that they move to more suitable accommodation. They complained but were met by rude unhelpful staff, a woman, possibly the manager, who eventually replied saying the heating did work. They asked for a refund and to date there has been no further contact from this woman I am led to believe this may owned by Nigerians. Personally I think environmental health should be made aware and a full descriptive post on Trip advisor, I would hate for tourist to think that this is the standard of accommodation available in Scotland. Absolute disgrace Broken bed Mould in bathroom Dust lots Drug remnants in drawer Toilet brush ...let's not go there. Cobwebs Bedding, not even sure if it was changed.

Booked for 2 nights. Arrived and found the car park locked. Very difficult to get into from a busy road, as described in other reviews. We were shown how to enter and exit the building through the back door. The person showing us this then walked away while the door was still open. Obviously not very concerned about security! We found out that there is no staff presence during the night. The building is also used as a shelter for homeless people. One of whom we met in the lounge that evening. He asked if we worked there as he couldn't find anyone. During the night we heard noises outside. Sounding like someone was breaking apart fencing. Not long after the police arrived, we could hear conversation on their radios. A few hours after that we could hear someone moving down the corridor and rattling each door handle. Not just once but several times. We cut our losses and left the next morning. There were still no staff on site. We phoned the number on the front door and were told to leave the key in the room. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is more like a moderate quality hostel than a 3 star hotel. The web site is misleading. It was clean, but there were no carpets in the hallways, just pieces of underlay, there were holes in the walls that had been roughly filled but not painted and the furniture was old but just about serviceable. You had to telephone to get in. Despite it being advertised as bed and breakfast, there was no breakfast. When I asked the owner/manager about this he said "when you completed your on-line booking it would have said 'no breakfast'". When I showed him my booking printout which made no mention of this he just said "oh". Contrary to what was advertised and was on the shiny note on the back of the bedroom door there was no wi-fi. But the shower water was hot and the towels were good.
