Perfect room, clean hotel was not let into the restaurant because of age the restaurant manager, didn’t let us eat in the restaurant. We had to order room service instead, and there was tables in the restaurant the spa was okay, but the spa staff were making dirty looks on us and reception tried to charge us extra fees!

The hotel and setting are beautiful very comfortable. The food was very disappointing. Very expensive and poor quality.

The room was excellent, the mattress was thick and soft, very comfortable, and parking was convenient. The facilities were good, and there was a water dispenser outside.

We had a great weekend for our wedding, everything went smoothly thanks to David and his team. The professionalism and hard work was outstanding from start to finish, David made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he did for us. Our guests have been full of compliments about the Woodlands, so many people commented on how fantastic the hotel was, how welcoming and attentive the team were, and how wonderful the overall experience was.

Overall our stay was enjoyable, food was good, while the breakfast service was chaotic. Difficult at times to order from the breakfast menu and surrounding tables not been cleared. Evan (waiter) was excellent and a real assest to the Woodlands as was an Indian waitress who served breakfast apologies I didn't get her name. We would definitely recommend the Woodlands as a family holiday.

Myself and my husband got married in the woodlands on Thursday 30th July and I have nothing but good words to say. I honestly cannot thank David Elena and all the team for what can only be described as magical. The team made our day stress free and they just went with every idea we had. I can’t thank them enough. Special mention to Monica who served the top table she is one of the nicest people I’ve met. And to Conor for all his help that evening. This hotel wins many awards and we could see why. Visited he Woodlands Hotel first a tea and coffee outing and was extremely disappointed at the lack of service and the negative experience overall. Asked a waiter if he could clear a table in the foyer area and give the dirty surface a 'wipe down', before we placed our order. The table was cleared (table next door was also in a dishevelled state). The waiter disappeared and never returned so we left - disgraceful service! Seemed that the few staff around were more focused on tending to the aftermath of wedding quests. Before leaving I proceeded to go to the bar area to try and place our order, but nobody there! The entrance foyer looks so artificial with a huge pink fake tree and artificial flowers about the place - looks cheap and uninviting. Cannot recommended this place which sadly appears to lack staff focus and certainly little attention paid to day visitors!

I have stayed here on many occasions and from start to finish this hotel is sensational food accommodation service family friendly. We had lunch there today and I can honestly say I would travel 300 km for the food it was exceptional. The extras like homemade biscuits with your coffee, the value for money the comfort the kindness and acceptance of our children.my nephew had his wedding there on my recommendation and wow they pulled out all the stops and day 2 exceptional. Highly recommend. I have stayed in the hotel with a tour group in each of the last two years. I cannot speak highly enough of the service and facilities. The staff are absolutely fantastic and there is a wonderful atmosphere in the hotel. We stay in multiple hotels on tour and this is the one that I look forward to. Lots for the kids and adults are always delighted with food and bar etc. Conor on the desk is particularly helpful and will always go above and beyond. Top class. Look forward to staying again next year.

From the moment we started planning our wedding until the very last guest left, we felt so well looked after. A heartfelt thank you to the Fitzgerald family and to Claire for all of your guidance, kindness and attention to every detail. You made the whole process feel effortless and gave us complete confidence that everything was in safe hands. A special thank you also to Joe at reception, who was incredibly helpful in organising accommodation, particularly for our family and friends travelling from overseas. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and your warmth and professionalism meant so much to us. Thank you all for helping to make our wedding day so memorable.

We had the most amazing day for our wedding in June and all the team at the Woodlands went above and beyond for us. David has been an incredible help from the moment we met him. in the lead up and right until the days following our wedding. He and the team are just so easy to work with, it made us feel so comfortable and we are so so grateful for everything they all have done. Could not recommend this beautiful place enough!

We stayed here on our road trip of the Wild Atlantic Way. It is just outside the beautiful village of Adare (too far to walk). It is a large hotel but manages to be very friendly and cosy. The family who own it are very hands on and check that guests are happy. We had a free upgrade on arrival which was a bonus. Our room was comfortable, though I would have preferred a walk in shower. The lounge/bar was very pleasant. They have their own bespoke gin. The dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented and so so tasty. The chef had clearly worked on the flavour combinations. The baked Alaska dessert was to die for!! The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Great value.

We celebrated our wedding at the Woodlands in May 2026 & had the best day!! From start to finish there was no stone left unturned on the hotel staff's part on making everything run so seamlessly. Elaina, thank you for all your guidance with regards to the food requirements etc.for the drinks reception & afters. You did not lead me astray in the slightest. For that I'm very grateful. In addition to all the other advice you gave us throughout the whole process. I never worried for one minute, I trusted the day would run without any hiccups. Which made the build up for me less stressful. Each and every guest has mentioned how impressed they were with the food & service provided by your staff. There was a guest that runs a hotel in Killarney & couldn't fathom the standard of food provided for the guest numbers. A true compliment to all the staff. Here's hoping we won't be back to Marry again, however we will be back to celebrate all special occasions into the future.
