Had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property, the views from the room were incredible, and the staff was superb! Special thanks to Afework, Tilaye, Sileshi, and Sefiw at the lounge for their tremendous service, as well as Beheilu, Befkadu, Aschalew, Legesse for their excellent service elsewhere around the hotel, and Danawit at the reception for a super smooth check-out process! It can be seen that this is a historic hotel, can see the glory of the year, and now the facilities are relatively old. If the high-rise building is better, the living quarters, the environment and facilities will be much worse. The breakfast was very rich and it was delicious. Dinner buffet, no drinks, price 40 dollars, not much stuff, no breakfast rich. In the hotel lobby, there is a place to drink traditional Ethiopian coffee, there are many shops on the first floor, the hotel has complete fitness facilities, gym, tennis, basketball, and many other venues. A lot of people outside come to work out.

We have found excellent treatment by the entire team at the hotel. Only there are some people in the restaurant who do not respond to our requests except for the person who is called Teddy. He is a very wonderful person, and he was the one who helped us with everything. He is really a special person. Also, we will not forget what the two people gave us, Nati, the hotel manager, and Teddy, the room manager. Hello Hayat Regency Management, Overall, my experience was excellent, although I was unable to extend my stay and had to switch to a different hotel. Firstly, I'd like to commend the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general. The service provided, both at the restaurant and reception, was exceptional. Additionally, your internet service is among the best in town, which, as a Google Engineer, I can attest to. However, I must address an issue regarding the parking entry, which was quite challenging. Despite the availability of ample parking spaces, the entry point was poorly designed, making it difficult to maneuver in and out. I even sought assistance but unfortunately couldn't find any. I hope this issue can be addressed. Furthermore, there seems to be a communication gap regarding the parking, as those directing customers to the lot should clarify whether it's manageable for new arrivals. It was disappointing to be guided to the parking lot by someone representing Hayat Regency, only to find it inaccessible. Thank you for considering this feedback, and I hope it contributes to enhancing the overall experience for future guests.

I booked this spot because it was very affordable. Only upon arriving did I realize how huge and classy the place is. Was not expecting a big, sprawling executive style hotel. The place does have an air of faded glory from bygone times, but a very welcome stay. Rugs are worn, furniture in foyer a little beat up, but classy and comfortable throughout. Staff are fantastic, the grounds are enormous and lush, there are many places to sit and relax, and Ghion features a stunning restaurant. A massive, two-tier, round wooden building with a high, circular, peaked roof, in an elegant, sturdy Ethiopian traditional construction. Absolutely beautiful, with wonderful, authentic Ethiopian cuisine at an affordable cost. Wonderful. My only complaint is that, as an old guy with fading eyesight, rooms are dark! Even with all lights on, still tough to read anything, and it took some minutes to get water from the tub or sink to begin running warm. Still, and absolutely gorgeous site, well worth the very modest price. Will happily stay there again any time I return to Addis.

Best location, best staff. I love how the hotel staff always keeping the hotel clean. I really appreciate the location and the staff. I strongly recommend this place to anyone coming to Addis Ababa. Price is awesome, and foods is very delicious. The environment is very quiet, and safe. Shopping area near by. Traditional food, restaurants close by. Also, many embassy near by. Lots of good shopping stores close to the hotel. In general is the best location for everything. I travel all the way from Canada, but I will definitely look forward in the future to stay in this location.
