The Carlton Lodge

This was a good option for a one night stay. One problem I found - South side door does not lock. It states that you need to use your key card to enter but I could just open the door and walk in. I tried this multiple times with the same result. Not safe for customers using this property. Management needs to correct this problem. Also, no early check-ins are allowed at this property.

I liked the peaceful setting of the Carlton- trees, flowers, quiet. Breakfast room was very pleasant, and the young woman supervising it was so friendly, a hard-worker, keeping everything tidy, clean.

breakfast menu was fresh. pool was a disappointment. We went to have a swim at 7:00pm on Sunday evening only to be told by the host that she had just treated it so it was closed.

I very rarely complain, I was looking forward to staying at the hotel. When we arrived it was late and the lobby, empty, was fairly dark (which I understand given the time frame), it took fairly long awhile for someone to come to the front desk. I rang the desk bell a few times until eventually someone came. I understand that the hotel is older but the rooms were filthy (more so the bathroom), just dirty. We went for breakfast in the am that was suppose to be open until nine and we arrived at 8:30 with very limited to no options (no meat, fruit, items in fridge, bagels etc) and items were being cleaned up when we arrived (cereals, milk, pancake items etc). It was all ok but I think first impression was disappoint

Very friendly staff. Clean room. Only downfall was bed mattress not very comfortable(had impressions).

Property is getting rundown. Ice machine broke. Breakfast was terrible. Very limited. Mattresses are terrible.

Pool was closed by the time we checked in and we left as soon as we could the next morning

More privacy in the room The windows should be able to lock the light from outside , to much daylight way early in the morning, the light from a outside will we wake up Other than that everything else is good
