Great location to town. The room we had was a family room and the presentation was pretty good having stayed in some more basic rooms in the past when visiting Greece. High quality shower with warm water and pressure. The kitchen area was a bonus with enough equipment to enjoy a cold lunch or snack if required. The beds are very comfortable and it is great to have a separate bedroom for our children to share. Fantastic maid service with them attending daily and the bedding and towels were changed every 2days which felt a little too often to be honest however not a complaint. Great choice at breakfast and the staff are wonderful cannot help enough. Lovely clean pool- however there are NOT enough loungers around it in the shade more sun umbrellas are needed especially when people who have been visiting the hotel for the past 13years seem to believe that they own them and place their towels out at the crack of dawn and then proceed to stay in their rooms for 3hours before using them!! The hotel has a snack bar at lunch times and we often had pizza/ toasties - these are not on the menu however after seeing someone else order this it was a big hit. Afytos is busy in high season with lots of shops and restaurants we did not struggle to eat out though with ate earlier than some.

The hotel is in a fantastic location for the town and the beach. The pool is lovely and warm. Breakfast was fresh and the staff were lovely. Having visited here 2 years ago, the cleaniness of the hotel needs improving. Around the pool and sunbeds wasn't cleaned in 2 weeks we were there, there is dirt all around the pool grill edge. The cleaniness of the rooms and bathroom was poor, floors dirty, cobwebs around, balcony floor dirty. Towels need changing more often we had our towels for the last 5 days. The bar was good but ran out of stock quickly and was not replenished. The snacks started at 11.30 and finished at 3pm which was not long when you have children with you. It would be good if more sunbeds were available for all the guests to use. I hope my comments are addressed and then would look forward to returning in the future.

Great holiday once again at Stamos! Rooms are clean, breakfast choice is good, hot and cold. Friendly staff, and still cheapest beer in Afitos! We’ve been here many times and will be back next year! Afitos is still lovely village, maybe slightly busier this year. A couple of restaurants had queues! Never seen that before.

A bit late with my review , but my partner & I stayed in this beautiful little hotel in June . Small compact and amazing with 18 rooms , spotlessly clean and lovely staff . We had an amazing large balcony with very comfortable basket chairs and cushions overlooking the best pool I have ever been in ! This is the only pool I have EVER been able to just walk down the steps and straight into the water 😃 it’s like walking into a warm bath 😃 The amount of return guests attests to how good this hotel is, just a few minutes walk to the start of a stunning village . I highly recommend this hotel

This was my second visit to this fantastic hotel in this fantastic location, but this year I brought some of my family. Everyone loved it as much as me & we will be back for sure. The hotel is spotless, the breakfast was perfect, the staff are always very pleasant & you have everything on your doorstep but it still feels so peaceful. The large outside table is a great new addition, perfect for our big group & we loved the bar, great selection of drinks & very well priced. Thanks again to Stamos Hotel, I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Great location, 10 minutes stroll from main village, but plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms to a good standard and cleaned almost daily. Breakfast a pleasant surprise, lots of choice and very well presented. Fantastic bar at pool area. Great family hotel, cannot praise enough. Will book for next year.

We stayed here for two weeks in july. Stamos is a lovely hotel in a good location. Rooms - one bedroom apartment, nice decor, comfy beds and the air con was brilliant ( also included in the price). Cleaned every day, towels and bedding changed twice a week Staff- friendly and knowledgeable. Location- Afitos is a lovely old town, make sure you visit Bouka restaurant as we found this to be the best. Local beach’s are quite expensive, but 15 mins to Silvida, which is a beautiful beach, lovely restaurants and cheaper. Make sure to bring your mosquito sprays ( obviously not the hotels fault) All in all a fabulous stay and would recommend Stamos :-)

We stayed in June. The rooms are clean. Not very big but overall enough space for the 2 of us. Towels and bedding changed on a regular basis. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice, please don't come to Greece and expect a full English. Staff in he hotel friendly and accommodating. We didn't spend anytime around the pool as we prefer the beach. We had a couple of dips . The pool and sunbeds needed some TLC. Bar reasonably priced: location perfect for walking into the village on an evening. Be warned it is a walk down a hill to the beach, going down is fine, coming up more of a struggle. Would recommend and I would return.

We booked this hotel last minute through Jet2 and it was such a lucky find! For the price we weren’t expecting it to be as lovely as it was. Ignore any negative comments, this is a lovely hotel in a great location. The staff are so friendly and so helpful. We had room 26 which was a family room with two double beds overlooking the pool and rear of the hotel. It was very modern, very clean and well equipped. The maid kept it spotless and changed the bedding and towels twice during our week stay. A simple Greek breakfast was laid out everyday and provided everything we need. I read a comment that it was the same every day but for the price we were happy to have breakfast included. The is an excellent bakery round the corner if you need more variety and a supermarket just down the road. The pool was a good size. We chose to walk “right “out of the hotel down to a really nice beach. The hill back is very steep but it burnt off the calories we consumed! You can walk further along to a less steep hill if you prefer. The town of Afitos was amazing. So beautiful at night and loads of restaurants and shops. It was a short walk into town so the location was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel and the location. I would also like to give a mention of our Jet2 Rep Anna, who was so friendly and helpful. I am sure we will return and would only choose this hotel.

Soaking wet from the rain we were given a warm welcome by the staff at the Stamos Hotel. It is a delightful. small (16 rooms) hotel and the staff really care about the guests. It is clean and comfortable and has a lovely pool surrounded by sunbeds and chairs. Each room has a balcony and the rooms and bathrooms are well equipped, the bed was very comfortable. The bedding and towels were changed twice a week. There is breakfast provided and this ranges from sausages, bacon and egg, yoghurt, pastries, cold meats, cheese, olives, tomatoes, fresh fruit, bread and about 6 different preserves and honey - it was excellent. There is a comfortable bar offering a wide range of alcoholic or soft drinks, coffee, ice cream and light snacks. The hotel is only about 100m from a supermarket and a number of excellent restaurants. Highly recommended.

Great hotel. Quiet. Good location. Pool perfect. Lovely little bar with snacks . Lovely staff can’t do enough to help you . Book exchange and good breakfast included. Beautiful village and amazing sea close walk 20 mins ( steep walk) great snorkelling.

Have recently returned from a weeks holiday a Stamos Hotel, so Afitos is quite beautiful, lots of restaurants and shops, narrow streets, very arty, loved it. Unfortunately I wasn’t that taken with this hotel, not as clean as I expected after reading all the previous reviews, we had a smallish room on the first floor above the breakfast room entrance, with a pool view , as all rooms do and a sort of sea view. We had to go to reception, for a safe key and hairdryer, which is advised on the jet2 description, why not give it to you straight away. The first 3 days we couldn’t get a sun bed due to people getting up at the crack of dawn to reserve them, but the beach we found was lovely, just 10 minutes away. Breakfast was the same everyday and the cooked food was cold, so some days I just had Mint Tea, on the plus side the pizza at lunch from the bar was hot and very nice, drinks are cheap from the bar. I wouldn’t return here, either to Afitos or the hotel, back to the Greek islands for me.

Afitos is absolutely gorgeous with lots of lovely restaurants, shops and bars. We stayed at Stamos for one week. We were in a Superior room!! It was filthy. I lost my necklace on the floor which needed up under the bed. We lifted the bed up to retrieve it- I felt so sick with the amount of diet and filth underneath. Old sanitary products and dust were there. I honestly gipped! The bed cover had Staines on it! Sunbeds - well you need to get up at 6am to get one. One couple bagged two beds and two chairs at different ends of the pool and moved round when the sun did. Which meant nobody else stood a chance of getting any sun. I mentioned this to the hotel and the lady said she’d do her best at getting us a bed the next day. Some of them are broken by the way. On the surface the hotel looks lovely but unfortunately for me the uncleanliness put me off. We even went to a different hotel for the day to use their facilities and we bought drinks there too. Stamos has a cheap bar. Cheaper than in the town but for me sadly I won’t return. I’ve made my points known to Jet2 as people need to be aware that the hidden filth is disgraceful. I would return to afitos but sadly not at Stamos

We are still staying at stamos hotel, in room 14 29-12th September. It’s been such a great holiday so far. The hotel is perfect for what you want it’s not 5 star but it doesn’t claim to be . It’s clean friendly cheap and central,everything you need is close by. The staff are always happy and professional, looking after your every whim with a smile . Ok the sunbeds need attention, our shower curtain broke on the first night and still hasn’t been fixed but it’s still a charming place to visit. The breakfast is the same every day but there’s enough to keep you happy. We are looking at booking again as it’s so ideal. A lovely village with great restaurants and bars all so close. Stamos hotel is a definite 10/10 Bravo
