Reviews of Samananchis Machupicchu

We stayed a family of five in one room and we had a very nice time. The staff were helpful and answered all our questions. Good breakfast. Windows let in a bit of light. You hear the river outside quite a bit but we slept well and we preferred this sound to sounds from bars and restaurants.

The gentle gurgling river outside your room will lull you to sleep and then you'll wake up to a lovely filling breakfast then the lovely staff will help you be less clueless about the incredibly confusing logistics of Machu Picchu then you'll go to Machu Picchu and have an unforgettable day. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

I was looking for a safe, cheap and clean place to stay overnight (unplanned) before my visit to Machu Picchu and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. Samananchis is right next door to the hot springs pools and a beautiful waterfall walk. While I waited for my room to be ready, I left my bag, went next door to the entrance gate and paid a small fee, then hiked up to the waterfall, enjoying a sculpture trail, wildlife, and incredible views. Unfortunately I didn't have time to enjoy a dip in the natural hot springs but loads of other people were loving it! The hotel is a bit of a hike up the hill from the bus depot, but well worth it as the river below will help you drift off to sleep each night. This is a family-run place which was so nice, and everyone was extremely helpful and didn't mind my terrible Spanish. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, the included breakfast was generous and delicious, and the location is amazing for the price. I wish I could have stayed another night here. As a solo female traveller, I felt extremely safe and welcome. The bed was very comfy too! Gracias!

We spent one night at this hotel and were unfortunately not satisfied. The room had a very strong, damp smell, and there was probably mold. There was visible mold on the bathroom ceiling. Due to the high humidity, everything was damp, even our clothes and blankets. The river right next to the hotel is extremely loud; you'd think it was flowing right next to the bed. While the room itself was clean and the staff friendly, anyone could easily access the luggage storage room – not a secure solution. The only positive aspect was the cleanliness, but overall, we would not recommend this hotel.

Un hotel que te ofrece todos los servicios. No está mal para pasar una noche o dos. Está cerca de donde se cogen los autobuses para subir a Machupicchu, también cerca de la estación de tren y zona de restaurantes. Este pueblo no tiene mucho más que ofrecer. Puedes encontrar la estatua del oso Paddington y un mercado de artesanías. El desayuno que ofrecen no está mal y el personal nos trató muy bien. Teníamos un poco de frío y nos ofrecieron una estufa.

Localização excelente, perto do ponto de ônibus para Machu Picchu e perto dos banhos termais, em uma área um pouco mais tranquila onde se escutava pouco as músicas em alto volume tocadas nos restaurantes. No entorno do hotel, tinha tudo que precisamos: restaurantes, farmácias, lojas de suvenirs, câmbio de dinheiro e mercados. O quarto super limpo com camas muito confortáveis e edredons de qualidade. Nosso quarto tinha vista para o rio e dormimos com o barulho da água, muito relaxante. O chuveiro era muito bom, com bastante água quente e ótima pressão. O café da manhã era maravilhoso, muitíssimo bem servido. A senhora que ficava na sala do café da manhã trazia tudo na nossa mesa, me senti tão cuidada, achei fabuloso! Ela trouxe ovos mexidos e melancia cortadinha, amei demais esse carinho! Além disso, tinha pãezinhos fofinhos, frios, geléia de morango, café, chás, sucos naturais de laranja e de manga. No último dia, deixamos nossas bagagens na recepção para fazer nossa terceira visita à Machu Picchu. Muito boa a nossa estadia nesse hotel.

Hotel localizado na parte superior da Cidade de Aguas Calientes, importante saber que terá uma pequena caminhada, mais pelo valor foi satisfatório e valeu os dias que ficamos na cidade. O café da manhã é bem simples e em um local pequeno. Se for para ficar poucos dias é recomendável.
