Villa Mayurana by Edwards Collection - Ahangama

My husband and I had a wonderful three-night stay at Villa Mayurana, and we genuinely loved our time here. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beautiful suite, which made the stay even more special. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and incredibly secluded, surrounded by cinnamon plantations and lush greenery. It feels peaceful, private and wonderfully removed from the usual tourist bustle. What really stood out to us, though, was the staff. They genuinely took care of us and made us feel incredibly pampered throughout our stay. A special shout-out to Jessica, the manager, who was always attentive and looked after all our needs; Ashan, who served each of our meals with a smile; and Chef Nuwan, who was so accommodating with all our off-menu requests. Those little things really made a difference and made the stay feel personal rather than simply being a hotel experience. We honestly didn’t want to leave, and if we are back in Sri Lanka, we would definitely stay here again. It is a beautiful property for anyone looking for peace, privacy, nature and genuinely warm hospitality. The only small downside was that the water pressure in the shower could sometimes be quite low, and hot water occasionally took a little while to come through. Apart from that, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend Villa Mayurana.

I found the rooms to be beautifully and comfortably appointed, the staff incredibly attentive and friendly, and the grounds and views breathtaking. I went with a fiend, and we each had our own room. We woke up every morning to the sound of birds and felt surrounded by gorgeous nature. The rooms and bathrooms are large, and the common areas are very comfortable and inviting. The property is very well maintained and kept sparkling clean at all times. The quiet location, only minutes from small, quaint towns and a short ride from the beach was ideal. With only four rooms on the property, we felt like we were important guests at a friend's high-end, luxury villa. Jessica, Ashan, and the rest of the staff took care of every need and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. And the food was spectacular. Every morning we would have homemade Sri Lankan specialties and fresh fruit. One night we had dinner on the property, and it was amazing; we wondered why we didn't dine there every evening. The value for money could not be beaten. It was a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back.

Villa Mayurana is pure paradise. I spent 13 nights here with my 2 boys, my mother and my aunt and it is was simply perfect. The house is idyllic and the staff would go to any length to assist in any way possible. The food is exceptional, the location is close to everything and also peaceful and stunning. Every day my son would go surfing and coming back to our house felt like a dream, so calm and the view at sunset was magical. We did not want to leave and we will be back again and again. Thank you to the incredible team, you made our holiday unforgettable, one of the best ever especially since we celebrated Christmas day and my aunt 80th at the same time. Villa Mayurana is one of a kind and a slice of heaven. I would highly recommend it to anyone, with friends and family, so much space...from spa, to the gym, jacuzzi, cinnamon experience...so much to do or even nothing to do if you want to, this is why it is so perfect because it nourishes the senses and restore the soul. I am going to miss it every day while back in London!
