I don’t normally write reviews on here but felt I should. I too had read all the negative reviews about this place prior to our stay and was a little apprehensive on arrival. However from our experience, the really negative comments are not justified. The hotel was clean and tidy and staff helpful and friendly. Whilst the restaurant menu was not always to our preference, there were always other options avilable and we never went hungry. The location is absolutely brilliant and the on site equipment hire facility really convenient. The rooms whilst not huge, do have plenty of wardrobe space and storage self for bags etc. Beds were comfy and we were warm all week even when there was a short cold snap. The hotel was a part in what was a great weeks holiday. Would I stay here again?, absolutely.

I felt I had to write a review after I nearly didn't boot the hotel due to the bad reviews, but I am so pleased I concentrated on the good reviews. Arrival, yes you are dropped off at the entrance about 200m from the hotel and also collected from the same spot, this isn't the hotel's fault as there is no way a bus can get in and out of the car park. there are plenty of ski holidays that you need to walk to the accommodation. Check in, this is the one issue I had with the hotel, we did have to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready, which is surprising as most rooms are vacated very early in the morning, but there are plenty of places to relax waiting for the room with plenty to drink while you are waiting. they do take 200 euro deposit and this should be returned after check out. I am waiting for this as I have only just returned, however this is still pending on my card so likely it won't be debited. Rooms, yes the rooms are compact and not much room to walk around but they are clean and tidy. The room for us was warm enough and we were never cold. The heater in the bathroom can be set high to dry any wet clothing. The bathroom is large enough and the there is enough storage. Ski hire/storage, the ski hire shop is on site on the ski room, so it is really easy to hire skis and return them, the skis are decent and well maintained, The ski room gets busy at peak times so get down a little earlier as you can ski down to the lifts as the open. The boot warmers were off when we went down in the morning, but if you follow the correct way to store the boots they are not wet. Restaurant, the food was decent with a local speciality every night, there was plenty to drink, coffee was available every breakfast. There was a wait for the popular dishes like the pizzas, which were excellent. The hotel tried their best to ensure everything was stocked and I never saw anything run out that wasn't replaced. If you are in the area you can also get lunch at the hotel, you do need to take your ski boots off though. Bar, There was a number of selected items that were part of the package, like coffee, beer, soft drinks, etc, they do run out of large glasses for the beer but they will give you 2 small glasses. This was the biggest surprise for me and really reduced the cost of the holiday dramatically as I didn't buy a beer or soft drink all week. this is great when you are with children that drink a lot of soft drinks. Location, perfect for ski in/out, one the best I have had, the location is easy to get back to from anywhere in La Plagne, it is literally walk out of the boot room put your skis on and ski away, same on the return, you can ski up to the boot room. It takes about 20 mins to walk down into town, if you want to go down there. Overall I thought the hotel was in a great position with plenty on pluses, I would certainly think about using them again as the pluses far outweighed any minor negatives.

My family and I had a very bad experience at this hotel. I would strongly advise anyone not to stay at this hotel. We were squeezed into a room next to a lift which made a lot of noise 24 hours a day so couldn’t sleep. The radiator in the rooms have a sensor which means they only turn on if you are moving around the room. So when you are in bed at night or lying down reading a book, the radiator is off which means the rooms are freezing. With minus temperatures outside, sleeping in a room with no rads is unacceptable. We had to wear so many layers to bed and we’re still so cold. As a result, my son and I became very ill with the cold and lost out on skiing days as we were too ill to ski. Whenever we spoke to the receptionist they were just very unsympathetic and would ignore you or treat you with such rudeness, I would dread having to go up and speak to them. When I asked to speak to the head receptionist, she was very angry that I had asked for her and stormed up to me in a rather aggressive manner which I didn’t really appreciate. There were many other issues like the food not being great and the restaurant being very busy and would struggle to find seating (5 of us would have to sit around a table for 2) or the hairdryers in the room not working. All of that doesn’t compare to how the staff treated us and the quality of the rooms. The hotel looks really modern and nice on the outside but no heating, very unprofessional staff who are vey rude and honestly do not care about you or your family’s wellbeing. I have traveled quite a bit but have never come across such an awful hotel. I feel compelled to be very honest as I think it’s unfair that we pay so much money to these hotels only to be treated very poorly and have rooms that’s are cold and faulty. I really couldn’t wait to come home (and I love skiing!). I hope this review helps. After reading some of the more positive reviews I’m just really confused, it sounds like a different hotel to me that are talking about!

Had a great week in La Plagne and staying at MMV made it both convenient and relatively in expensive for the French alps especially as I was on my own. Despite many comments on the rooms I found then a good size and very clean/modern. The boot room was in a superb place right next to the slopes and the bar area with the entertainment was very good. Staff were excellent very friendly and the hotel on the whole was a pleasure to stay in. Down side: Well if you have read the reviews the bus drops you off and picks you up 250M away from the door which in winter conditions I would imagine is very challenging as it is quite steep. Lucky in March there was little snow on the roads. The restaurant on the first few days I thought was great but watch out for the un expected vegetarian night which was awful and the plates were always cold meaning your food got cold very quick especially at breakfast times. Cutlery was dirty including classes which you could tell was a dishwasher thing. That said you just needed to exchange them for clean ones. Deserts were out of this world good!!!! The decking area is a sun trap which is great for March. All in all would I stay again most definitely. The allusive is the way to go now I think and MMV have got it just about right. Richard - Worksop.

decent hotel , rooms a bit cramped and lots of children running around so if that's a problem for you look elsewhere, other than that food was good and loved the ski in ski out situation . been twice same both times . staff are helpful and always clean and tidy .

A lot of the comments on here recently aren't fair. This is a good hotel but does have a few limitations and issues. Check in was easy. The staff were very good, helpful and friendly - same view from all 20+ of us. The position of the hotel is out of town but it's clear from the location info. There's a regular bus or good 8-10 mins walk to/from Plagne Centre. It is ski in/ski out but be aware it's not the easiest blue run back for novice skiers. The food choice was good, sometimes very good. Some say the children's options are poor but there's plenty of choice. It's not all fries and burgers. Free wine with dinner with no limit but no coffee except at the bar. Breakfast is busy but plenty of choice. The egg guy seems afraid to cook a fried egg properly and even said 5 mins was good for soft/medium boiled eggs. At 2000m ! - more like 9+. They also leave coffee, juice and pastries out after breakfast for late comers or a snack. The boot room is busy at peak times like any hotel. The boot heaters don't work as per previous comments, but no one seems to remove the inners overnight to help them dry. Decent ski hire shop on site. The entertainment shows were well done, if you like that sort of thing. Bar service is good but a little overpriced. There's pool, table football, etc. too. It includes a few visits to the very good Spa, treatments extra of course. Cons - the rooms are on the basic side. Quite cool too. Our disabled access bathroom had a poor shower and the wet room tiles let the water run towards the door not the drain - reported by others too. It's a bit of a trek to some rooms. Lack of seating especially if you don't want to watch the entertainment. Tricky blue run back but good lift access. Ski school meeting point outside. Beds are basic and the pillows poor. No kettle or coffee machine - but can be hired. Not handy for apres bars but large sunny deck outside. Basically, this is good hotel with a few opportunities. Our disabled travellers didn't have any problems except for the trek to some rooms. Most said they'd prefer this hotel but only if it was in the location of the Terra Nova.

Sold as a half board family package including childcare but the hotel does not cater for children, the evening meal is completely adult focused with the only child offering being Pizza and Ice Cream, we are 4 nights into a 7 night stay, I hope and pray for an alternative offering from the hotel but I think the only alternative is to eat out. The adult offering lacks variety and choice. The hotel caps the room heating at 20 degrees, this is especially poor when trying to dry wet kit. 10 euros for a kettle on the room but no cups or tea bags offered. I feel sorry for the few staff who are running around completely over worked. I would recommend to avoid.

I recently endured a stay at Hôtel Club MMV Plagne 2000, and it was an absolute nightmare. Here’s a rundown of the disaster: • Food Disaster: Imagine the worst meal you’ve ever had; now imagine having that every day. Breakfast is a joke – show up even a little late, and you’ll be greeted by empty trays and zero effort to refill them. It’s not just bad; it’s insultingly bad. • Perpetual Wet Boots: The so-called boot heaters in the ski room are nothing but decoration. We were stuck slipping into cold, wet boots daily, turning each snowboarding session into a misery parade. The staff’s response? A collective shrug of indifference. • Freezing Cold Rooms: Our room was an ice box. The heating was a myth, with the lone exception being a radiator in the bathroom. We had to keep the bathroom door open to steal a whisper of warmth, a pathetic band-aid solution for the bone-chilling cold. • Widespread Disappointment: It’s not just me. Every guest I spoke with echoed the sentiment of regret and frustration. It’s a universal verdict: staying here is a mistake. And if you’re thinking there’s a silver lining because you can ski right up to the hotel, think again. That tiny convenience doesn’t even begin to compensate for the mountain of negatives. My advice? Avoid Hôtel Club MMV Plagne 2000 like the plague. It’s more than just a letdown; it’s a guaranteed way to ruin your holiday.

Friendly staff and good variety of communal spaces. Food was very good, we were concerned to read some negative reviews before coming but don‘t think they are being fair to the hotel. Everything was plentiful and highlights for us were the mountain specialities and the delicious cheeseboards. Wine on tap at evening meal was a bonus. Drinks in bar were expensive though. Our bedroom was very small, can hardly walk between end of bed and wall due to large wall mounted shelving/TV unit. It was a room for 3 and that would have been a huge squash. Good slope side location for skiers. A bit further from resort than expected if you wanted to walk to town and hotel do little to clear the icy access road. We were with Crystal and bus drop off and pick up was a good walk down/up icy slope which was not easy with skis, bag and rucksack etc.
