Best Hotels in Airlie Beach

Facilities: good. The sea view room has a small balcony where you can see the sea, which is very comfortable. Hygiene: good. Environment: The location is very convenient. Most of the attractions can be picked up at the store. It is also convenient to go to the airport and other islands. Service: The service is good. They took the initiative to help me consolidate my orders and upgrade my room.

Magnums has been the backpacker hangout in Airlie Beach for thirty years. A great open pub (Beer Garden) facing the street, live music every day, a wide, typically Australian range of drinks at the bar. Airlie Beach has long since ceased to be a pure backpacker destination. Hotels, shopping streets and arcades, many new restaurants, bars and pubs have turned Airlie Beach into a small ”city”. The Magnums is really right in the middle, from here everything is easily accessible on foot. Thanks to the Magnums, the backpacker groove hasn't completely disappeared. Magnums offers accommodation in many varieties! In addition to double rooms with shared bathrooms, I would particularly like to mention the cabin we booked with a ensuite bathroom, toilet. AC and a fridge. The cabins are spacious, almost 30 square meters, have a small terrace and are distributed in the small ”palm jungle” in which all accommodations of the Magnum are hidden. A large kitchen complex is available for the residents of the Magnum (adults only!), which is equipped with everything (cooking stoves, toaster, refrigerators, dining areas, etc.). Dining tables are in front of the kitchen complex and others are scattered throughout the complex. Barbecue areas with dining tables are also distributed throughout the complex. It is charming that there is always a bench or a hammock hidden under the palm trees, where the guests can retreat with a book or the cellphone (the whole complex is very well connected with WiFi). Anyone who can do without the luxury of a five-star facility will be very happy at Magnums. The extremely friendly staff at reception, at the bar and in room service (every 4 days for longer stays) cannot be praised enough. We were looked after excellently and comfortably at reception by Maria. She answered all of our questions, made the bookings for our excursions, ordered the shuttle bus to the airport when we left and fulfilled our every wish during our 14-day stay. Airlie Beach ist schon längst keine reine Backpacker Destination mehr. Hotels, Ladenstrassen und Passagen, viele neue Restaurants, Bars und Pubs haben Airlie Beach zu einer kleinen „Stadt“ werden lassen. Das Magnums liegt wirklich mitten drin, von hier ist alles fussläufig leicht erreichbar. Dank dem Magnums ist der Backpacker-Groove noch nicht ganz verschwunden. Magnums bietet Unterkünfte in vielen Varianten an! Neben Doppelzimmern mit geteilten Badezimmern erwähne ich speziell die von uns gebuchte Cabin mit eigenem Bad, AC und WC soiwe einem Kühlschrank. Die Cabins sind grosszügig, fast 30 Quadratmeter gross, haben eine kleine Terrasse und sind im kleinen „Palmen-Urwald“ in dem alle Unterkünfte des Magnums versteckt sind, verteilt.

We loved our stay at The Boathouse Apartments! The rooms were spacious and super clean with an amazing view over the marina. Staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help. We loved the pool and tennis court and there’s a great coffee shop downstairs The location is one of the best in Airlie - an easy flat walk up to the Main Street, lagoon and cruise terminal. Everything we needed was close by. Will definitely stay here again.

The Mirage is a gorgeous hotel with modern rooms and breathtaking views. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment (room 53) which overlooked the sea and the pool. The apartment was spacious and had all amenities. It’s a 5min cab ride to the main ***** in Airlie Beach which costs $10 each way. The hotel also offer a free shuttle at 10:30am and 2:30pm daily which was handy. Now to go over the not so great aspects of hotel. The rug in room 53 is stained, dirty and I had to ask for someone to come up to vacuum it when I arrived because I didn’t want my baby crawling on it. Even with the vacuum it was still disgusting. The rug needs to go! The bed heads need to be replaced as the material is flaking and gets all over the bed. The shower screens were not cleaned at all. Standard of cleaning must be improved. The breakfast is pretty average, presentation, quality and variety needs to be improved. The portable clothes line in our laundry was old and broken, needed to be thrown out and not offered to guests in that state. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

Very good, the back door is the beach pool. I called the boss at two o'clock in the afternoon to tell us that we arrived at six o'clock. He said that he hanged the phone, then sent a text message to me, telling me that the password was taken from the box, and after that. It's a little far from the town. If you take a taxi, it will cost about $ 10. The hotel facilities are complete and clean. I don't clean the room every day, I feel very good and protect privacy. If you need cleaning, you can tell at the hotel front desk. Dinner was great too. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the beach as well as coles. The hotel also has a shuttle service, which is great overall and good value for money.

My husband and I booked a Deluxe King Spa Room for 5 nights, 6 days including continental breakfast. Overall we were happy with our stay. Staff were friendly, room was clean, the pool area was lovely. Only small complaints are that the pillows were not very comfortable and the bathroom needs updating, the water pressure in the shower was very bad. The restaurant in the resort was lovely for our daily breakfasts but very expensive. If you wanted hot food for breakfast you had to pay for it and the price of $5 for a hash brown, $5 for bacon and $3 for a poached egg was exuberant. We realised that the inclusive continental breakfast did not include hot breakfast foods. The choice of other breakfast foods was ok. I, personally would like to give a shout out to Christina at reception for looking after me when I needed a special favour 😊.

We are currently enjoying our stay at NRMA Airlie Beach. The past few weeks have been unseasonably wet so that would account for muddy, wet campsites as previously mentioned. The grounds are well maintained with an abundance of tropical plants and a leafy outlook. There is a supermarket, bakery and butcher all within an easy walk. Airlie Beach is walkable for the fit and is extremely enjoyable along the winding boardwalk. Staff at the park are friendly and accommodating and offer a variety of social activities for guests on a weekly basis. I think more campers should avail themselves of these as they are a good way to meet others. On offer is Bingo, Music trivia, happy hour, etc. As travellers these days are travelling with some extremely large vans I see assistance with parking as a genuine need, as most of the sites are close together. Generally, our experience here has been a good one. Congratulations! We have already booked again.

I booked at short notice and just managed to get an apartment. Family emergency! I was in Airlie on ” family business' and so appreciated meeting Pam (the owner?) and settling in quickly. I have always love the Mango House. It has such a positive, special ”tropical vibe” I've eyed off for the past 16 yrs on my countless visits there. My apartment was clean, comfortable and over-looked the pool. As a solo woman traveller, I loved it. It was very calming. Felt safe, accessible & quiet accommodation. Perfect for me.! Comfortable! I was confidently left to myself to ”get on with the business” !! It may not suit Sheraton Hotels 5 star travellers...nor those who want a butler!! However, being ex Sydney and appreciating the ”good things in life” it was perfect for me!!! Close enough to Airlie shops, good restaurants, beautiful walks.....really amazing!!! I'll be back as soon as I can!!!

A hotel by the sea - a total of three floors, the room is a sea view on the side of the street, the room is small, the layout is also difficult to describe. It feels like a room and a hall. Then a bed in the room. A bed in the living room. Then there is basically no place.
