Best Apartments in Aix-en-Provence

4-night stay Upside: (1) Space - limited-service apartment concept. Separate bedroom, bathroom, toilet, kitchenette, living room & balcony (within dining table) (2) Location - nearby supermarket & gym (not affiliated with Adagio); walking distance to the old town (3) Laundry room - located near reception; takes credit card payments; but there's only 1 washer and 1 dryer, so plan ahead (4) Quiet - inward facing apartments don't get street noise and face a pleasant internal courtyard Downside: (1) Air-conditioning issue - apparently, there was an ongoing air-conditioning fault affecting some apartments, including the first apartment we were assigned at check-in. Also, apparently, guests were supposed to have been informed about this, but we weren't. None of the correspondence we received prior to check-in mentioned it, neither did anyone mention it at check-in. Initial response when we queried why the apartment wasn't getting cool was the offer of a standing fan. This was completely unacceptable given the high summer temperatures (＞30C) in a west-facing (afternoon sun) apartment. It would have been too uncomfortable to sleep, even with a standing fan. Not to mention the lack of transparency. After further enquiries, including regarding repair timing (several days!), suddenly another apartment, with functioning air-conditioning, became available. As Adagio is part of a major international hotel brand, issue could've been better handled by offering affected guests, whether in advance or at check-in, the option of (a) transfer to a similar-class property (in-network or otherwise) at no cost; (b) full refund; or (c) fully-transparent ”informed” acceptance of apartment with faulty air-conditioning.

Aparthotel with good location, service and reasonable price. It is quite suitable for business trips (my case), as well as for family vacations, tourist trips, etc. Around there is everything necessary for life.

This business needs a huge overhaul. It is unacceptable to rob guests with such terrible accommodation. I had booked 10 days in this place. Upon my arrival after a long trip with my heavy backpack, the receptionist ignored me as I waited for her to greet me. What a greeting! 'You will need to bring your rubbish in the bin before you leave; you will be given fresh linen in four days; you need to sign in to the internet every time you use it; you will need to do the dishes before you leave' etc...No welcome words, only orders. I felt I was signing in to jail! I have been in hostels in the past, am well travelled and I manage my expectations, but this was far worse than any hostel, airbnb, hotel, or residence I have ever been to. Upon entering my studio - I would not call it an apartment, I found the shower head dirty, the wastebasket dirty, the walls bare of any decor except for a cheap frame. There was only ONE plastic hanger in the closet, with all the others broken. In the kitchen, there was a 2oz bottle of washing detergent and not much at all, not even a coffee maker, just a kettle. There was only one roll of toilet paper for my 10 day stay. No one was ever at the reception except early in the mornings. You could not reach anyone in the afternoon or evening. When I ran out of toilet paper, I asked on my way out to have a few rolls dropped in my room. Upon my return that night, nothing. Luckily I met some guests who were sitting outside (equally unhappy with the residence), who saved me and were most kind, bringing me a roll. When the next morning I asked for toilet paper again, after having left a note at the unstaffed reception desk, I was finally given some. But fresh towels after 4 days? The response was ”well, I don't know, I have to ask my colleague...” I could not believe the staff's attitude. I was happily able to find a place 8 days later and could not leave soon enough. (Unfortunately, in high season and at the last minute, accommodations are nearly impossible to find in Aix.)

I would not recommend this hotel. -Hard to find -Far from city center ($15 euro Uber each way) -no face cloths provided -only one small roll of toilet paper provided (and a half used one) -soap dispensers almost empty -no hair dryer -air conditioner didn’t work -did not allow early check in -stains on walls -broken glass in the cupboard -cobwebs -moldy shower curtain -shower handle was broken and didn’t stay on the holder -They charge $7 per clean (daily clean is not included!!) These are the reasons I would not stay again or recommend staying. This hotel needs improvement and care. The positives: -Staff are nice -Bed was comfortable -Free street parking out front or just $5 underground

Close to the bus terminal of Exxan Provence, super Marquette is also nearby, and the location is good. The room was not large, but it was convenient with kitchen, IH range, microwave oven, refrigerator, tableware and cooker. Check-in is a self check-in method, and the key of the room is obtained from the key box, but the reception is basically absent on Sundays and nights, and it is closed on weekdays. Therefore, the service cannot be expected at all. When I made a reservation at Trip.com, I was contacted to call the hotel to confirm, but the phone was often not connected, and I went to the site without knowing the key box cancellation number, so I couldn't get the key. The first day was to stay at another hotel. The next day, I asked a local person to contact me by phone or email, but I couldn't stay on the ２ day because I couldn't notify the key box cancellation number and the reception was closed. I was contacted with the key box cancellation number on the morning of ３ and paid for the reservation for ４ night, but I could only stay for ２ night. When I ask other guests, if you make a reservation with **********, you can get a cancellation number contacted by SMS without contacting the hotel, so it is not possible to contact with Trip.com It can be said that there is a problem in the reservation system. I used Trip.com for the first time this time, but I don't feel like using it again if I can't trust the reservation system.

l'accès a l'appartement 6 personnes se fait par l'arrière du bâtiment qd la réception est fermée nous sommes arrivés tard donc pas de réception valise tirer sur l'heure et la boue car l'arrosage automatique était enclenché nous avons été trempée alors que j'ai une enfant malade. laborieux. volet cassé, sol sale, tiroir meuble salle de bain cassée, tringle instable. les photos n'ont rien à voir avec la réalité même la piscine toute petite alors que les résident sont nombreux pas de place pour tout le monde. le jour de notre départ le personnel n'a pas voulu posez l'insuline de ma fille dans un réfrigérateur inhumain. pendant que ma fille était au toilette un homme du personnel est rentré par une porte soit disant condamné avant le Check oout sans sonné à la porte c'est vraiment Irrespectueux et pas professionnel. je ne reviendrai plus l'expérience a été laborieuse pour 2 nuits avec enfants de 14 et 8 ans.
