This is definitely not a 5-star hotel AND DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS PLEASE!! Straight off starting with the negatives. We were expecting something quite nice because it was a Ramada by Wyndham hotel but were quickly disappointed. We arrived at 00:50am and were left hungry because the restaurant had closed apparently but a few days later we found out that the restaurant was indeed opened at around the same time as we had arrived earlier because newer arrivals got escorted to the restaurant but we never got pointed to the restaurant whatsoever and only got given the option for a crappy and expensive takeaway or stay hungry. We get to the room and it’s a room fit for 3 (double bed and single bed) when we are 3 adults and 1 child. The room hasn’t been cleaned or dusted in what seems ages, the sockets weren’t working, the bathroom door wasn’t closing and we had no towels or an extra bed for the kid to sleep on. Reception spoke barely any English throughout the whole time we were there and it was awful trying to explain to them that we needed an extra bed or to move rooms for all of us to have a place to sleep in. My sister got a foldable bed which was broken at the bottom anyways. Walls are as thin as paper, you hear everything. Security did a decent job at 5am shutting up the noisy people around. Morning comes around and we head down to reception and again, not one staff member spoke English, we tried explaining everything slowly and precisely even in our own language (Bulgarian) and still nothing. We met with our agency representative, Pasha, who was outstanding at his job, and he told reception about the room problem and they said for us to move rooms we’d have to pay €70 extra because it was our fault we didn’t get a bigger room however Onthebeach only gives you one option to choose from for the rooms. We got given a choice of a room which had a mouldy smell, or another room which was close to the pool and was bigger so we settled on a room. House keeping hadn’t changed our sheets in a week, and they don’t speak any English at all. Sheets had holes in them. By the end of the week that’s when room control or something came to check up on us, an hour before our holiday was going to end. They rarely stock the fridges and place extra teabags but we liked how well they replaced the towels. The floor is quite dusty and dirty so always wear either socks or actual shoes before heading to bed. The restaurant selection was absolutely slim each night apart from the Turkish celebration days, my sister had to eat only chips and chicken because nothing else was made to the guests liking. Deserts are the same each night but good. Drinks choice is slightly limited but still okay. The animation team is getting lots of good feedback but me and my mum can say that we weren’t impressed by the bald guy to be honest. His companion was really lovely and understanding and not at all pushy however the other guy was way too pushy, you try telling him off to s

We had such a lovely holiday in Akbuk! For background, it was me and my partners first holiday to Turkey, I did quite a lot of research before coming about the hotel and area (using trip advisor) so knew kind of what to expect. We have only been to one all inclusive before in Spain and never come to this chain of hotels before. We wanted a “flop” holiday where we didn’t have to do anything all week To begin, we flew London Heathrow-Bodrum, transfer was around 1 hour 20 to the hotel, but this will depend who you go with. Transfer was super easy and we were greeted by security who took names and guided us to reception. Check in process was super simple, needed passports and booking name but no complication. Receptionist spoke good English, and no issues communicating. Room Room was really well presented, mini fridge for snacks and water that were readily available. I kept some medication in there and it stayed cool the entire holiday. Aircon worked a treat after a hot transfer! Bathroom was good, toiletries and towels provided. Showers was really nice! Bed comfy, we requested more bedding from reception and it was bought immediately to our room. Lovely balcony with sea and pool views. Room was cleaned everyday with no worries or hassle. Free safe to use in wardrobe. Pool Was a lovely spacious pool. We spend all of the day at the pool and in the resort and we really like to “fly and flop”. I chose this resort for the pool and services and I was right to do so. The pool is huge with great sun bed availability. If you want sun beds in the sun all day round you need to bagsy them quickly, but we are early risers so didn’t bother us. Animation team are incredible around the pool, really chatty, and super helpful. Jack, Kani, Mary and others were so lovely making us feel invited and getting us involved a bit (we are a bit boring!) no pressure ever though which is always nice. Food Food was good, I wouldn’t say excellent, could be a little cold and was uncovered in the main buffet restaurant which bothered me a little. Just a note, the resort restaurant only serves Turkish cuisine!!!! So don’t expect English breakfast and pizza for dinner (we heard a lot of complaints about this). I really enjoyed trying new foods though, especially breakfast. Lunch could be hit or miss but there was the snack bar at the pool which served “typical British” snacks like nuggets, chips, pizza which we indulged in a lot ahah. Dinner was always lovely with food fresh off the grill and salads chopped in front of you. Drinks were great, never a wait, in my opinion spirits were not great, but the wine was pretty good and the soft drinks were brill and always available. Take or leave my opinion on alcohol though as I am a cheap student so used to bad alcohol. Juice was dreadful and one of my only major complaints, the coffee was absolutely shocking. I was a barista for many years so maybe it’s just me but it was undrinkable. A quick trip to the shops on the beach solved

Not a 5 star hotel by any stretch. Paid a lot for this holiday and not normally one to complain but have to let people know so they don't make same mistake. Negatives 1. Our room was in block next to entertainment. Dont expect any sleep for a couple of nights especially when the DJ puts his massive (uneeded) stage up. 2 hours after it finishes they are still banging the poles around as they pack up 2. Food. Always the same and not suited to British at all unless you are happy to eat chips constantly 3. Cleanliness, room floor was never cleaned and pool is a hazard. Very little or no chemicals and never saw anyone testing it. So many people had ear infections 4. Staff are rude. Entertainment staff excluded the rest are awful. Guest relations especially. Lady walking round in high heels like she is on a catwalk and then laughs when you complain 5. Aircon. You don't need aircon in 40° degrees heat right? Restaurant was so hot you could barely eat 6. Smell. They choose to empty the cesspit during dinner every night. Lovely to smell what is probably going to come out of you in a bit whilst you eat 7. Drinks. Very limited. Rum consisted on vodka and coconut syrup....yum 8. Safety. I'm their wisdom they have surrounded the pool with tiles that are slippery when wet. Well done Positives 1. Entertainment team. Always happy and get you involved 2. Coming home I'm sure Ramada will read this and say its not true but here are some hints for you Ramada if you do read (happy for you to pay me consultant fee if you want me to implement) 1. There is a diy shop in Akbuk. Pop down and get some insulation foam tape for around the doors. A bit of soundproofing will help everyone 2. Electric doors in the restaurant would mean you could put aircon on and not lose it out to the heat coming through the open doors. Genius 3. There is an amazing chemical called Chlorine which you can put in pools to keep it clean although I suspect you make a killing through your clinic with ear drops 4. You are based in Turkey. Serve kebabs!

We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The hotel got everythıng what you expect from a holıday foods are tasty, rooms are clean all the staff they work very hard There was such a friendly atmosphere in here. We had a great time during outdoor activities such as yoga, zumba darts, waterpolo and water volleyball. I would like to mention that the members of animators team, especially Romeo, Gamora, adam, demir, mary and umut were putting a lot of effort into their work. Gamora is a very communicative person and she always keeps positive attitude. Adam is also very talkative and he has a great sense of humour. He attracts attention of many people. Mary is doing very well when it comes to children. She’s talking with people in a very nice way and she can encourage some of them to take part in the events. We are going to visit this place again!

Well where to start! 5* Hotel is an absolute lie! Poor 3* at the most! We booked this hotel on amazing reviews and 5* grading. After finding out the staff bribe you to write good reviews for nicer cocktails is appalling. Firstly on our arrival the rude receptionist told me they didn't have two rooms for us that we payed an upgrade on, that we could have the apartment for a family of 6. When I viewed it, they expected 3 of us to sleep on pull out beds in the living room, after paying £6000 for this holiday. I declined this offer clearly and explained I wanted the two room we payed for, after around half an hour we finally got given them. Once arriving at the room, it was small but fine for us, wasn't overly clean, wall paper patches replaced with other wall paper which was an eyesore. Wallpapered bathroom next to the toilet which was disgusting. The restaurant was like feeding Time at the zoo. Hectic, extremely hot and dirty tables. No air-con at all. You have to get there for 7pm to sit outside which is cooler and we are talking 32 degrees outside still. The same food everyday, stew, stew and more stew. Breakfast was nice but gets repetitive, lunch is your standard pool bar snacks and the restaurant at lunch was left over from dinner the night before, stew and more stew. The cleaners work so hard and are massively under too much pressure. One of the days I had to find their cleaning trolly and clean the room myself, which is not acceptable but the poor cleaners don't have enough time. The pool it's self is large but cleaning standards around the pool is vile, no sunbeds cleaned down or tables, and that's if they aren't broken aswell. Alot of people suffered with ear infections from the pool and was in alot of pain. Pool bar area smells of cheese everyday and floor is sticky. Drinks, we'll that are shocking. Cocktails taste like mouth wash or dishwater. Beer is flat, wine taste of vinger. Standard fizzy drinks which you honestly can't mess up. Entertainment team are outstanding and very friendly. Always saying hello and getting you involved in activities. But they also didn't pressure you too much. I feel if you aren't turkish or Russian they don't care about you. They treat you like dirt. My honest opinion is to not book this hotel as it is false advertisement and not 5* at all!

We with my wife booked Ramada Akbuk through *********** for 8-15 July 2023 and paid 2600 USD. We arrived at 15.30,checked in and entered lift. We were shocked-it’s glass walls were very dirty and in scratches all over cabin. In the room tiles on the floor of bathroom were broken, dirty spots everywere, spots on bedsheets and walls of the room. We went back to reception and refused to stay there. They gave us another room, only difference was that it had sea view. We went through the territory of the hotel, have seen dirty shuttle to the beach and decided to immediately check out. Fortunately,we found fivestar hotel nearby and offered to the turkish manager of Ramada to keep some of our money as fine and us the rest. He said that we can leave hotel, but ,according to their policy,we will not get our money back. We applied to ***********,they promissed to help, but no reply until now. Please do not trust to the hotel photos, they are taken long ago and from far distance.

We had a really good week's stay at Ramada Resort in October. It was good value, the food was abundant and tasty, great breakfasts with made to order omelettes, and plenty of variety. The evening entertainment was mostly good. We had very nice room with a spacious balcony and the shuttle for the private beach was very quick and efficient. There is nothing else to do in the near vicinity, but we went on two excellent trips - to Ephesus and Pamelukke - world heritage sites. The only thing that spoiled our stay was that my husband's watch appeared to have been removed from a drawer in our room. Luckily, it was not an expensive one. We know that our drawer was opened as I had brought a paper cup with salt to the room to help my husband's stomach. He put it in the drawer for later. That was removed at the same time, so we know the drawer was opened and an item unnecessarily removed. (We were told that the drawer was accessed for cleaning purposes? But why open our drawer?) The Hotel Relations Manager (or similar title) said that "nothing is private unless it is in the safe" and of course we should have put it in the safe, but my husband was under-the-weather and was not as careful as usual. The Hotel Relations team did not handle our situation well and made us feel worse about the situation, but the rest of the staff that we had contact with were warm and friendly. Despite this issue, we still had a good stay and would recommend.
