This hotel is in an amazing and unique location, looking at the stunning Liwa desert, where the movie Dune was filmed. I’m pleased to inform you that the rooms are actually better looking than the images on booking websites. There are a few short comings though: the activities are limited compared to other hotels (could be the hotel being brand new at the time of my stay), while the staff are very kind, sometimes it takes multiple calls to the reception to get something done. Overall, at around 300USD per night, this hotel is THE best bang for the buck you can get for a room of this class.

Fabulous setting [although a 2 1/2 hour car trip from Abu Dhabi]. Probably totally uneconomic but thanks to wealthy Rulers who promote such projects, a truly out of this World experience awaits. The hotel is a bit far from the city. It takes more than 4 hours to drive there from Dubai. The E11 highway is fine with Google navigation.
