Quality Inn Alachua - Gainesville Area

It was just a one night stay and didn't get to take advantage of the breakfast. The room was clean and the room for the price was not bad. The bathroom though was very outdated with yellow and pink tiles and the sink faucet old and not working properly.

I was really hoping for a restful night, but this stay was incredibly frustrating. The soundproofing is nonexistent; I could hear every single thing happening in the rooms next to me and above me. It felt like the walls were made of paper. To make matters worse, there was a small dog barking in a nearby room throughout the entire night. Between the thin walls and the constant noise, I barely got any sleep. If you are a light sleeper or actually want some peace and quiet, I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. I won't be staying here again.

My expectations were not very high, but the one area that really was not very good was the breakfast.

Came in after traveling all day and the room was over 90° took hours to cool down. I was looking forward to a shower after a long day and the shower was completely disgusting. Covered in layers of visible gunk, so much so the build up started flaking off. Even running the shower water would’ve cleaned it more than it probably has been cleaned in multiple visits. The shower walls were smeared with something black and the faucet was covered in yellow. So I did not shower. Spilled a little water on the floor and used a washcloth to wipe it up. The washcloth came up black. Dead roach in room. And the ice machine didn’t work when I had brought a cooler food with me, which was unfortunate. Saw other reviews that stated the cleanliness of this place, that is why I chose it. I don’t know if it was only this room that had been skipped over, but this is the dirtiest hotel experience I have had. I wanted to share my experience because that’s my only priority and I felt mislead. I was staying there for less than 12 hours and came in late. I had carried multiple bags up, and wanted a few hours of sleep before hitting the road again. Next time I will drive another hour or two for another spot or sleep in my car because I can’t believe I spent money on that. I will say the front desk staff was very friendly and I don’t blame them for my dirty room. they do have a complementary breakfast (I only got a coffee, scared of how clean the kitchen was)

There were cocroaches in the room. My bed sheets had a hole in them. The electric outlet on the nightstand only one plug in out of 4 work. The room was clean. My wife was totally freaked out by the cocroaches and slept in all her clothes. She tried to get me to get another room at Holiday Inn Express, but they were sold out. Totally ruined any chance of romantic getaway.

The breakfast was a good value for a budget hotel. The room met our expectations. Its an older muldind everything worked.

I would not recommend staying here. No towels, shampoo containers empty, phone to report issues not working, ice machine not working, safe malfunctioning, and worst of all, the noise level was way beyond acceptable due to noisy partying in the parking lot until after 1am. I do commend the staff for doing what little they could to resolve the issues but they are not given the training, knowledge or authority to handle these issues. Shame on Quality Inns for operating such a dismal property.

The older lady at the front desk was not so friendly walking in. But she wasn’t the worst but the rest of the staff like the housekeeper and the older black lady that does the breakfast was really nice. They have good energy and worked with a smile

Need repair the shower and install an anti slip inside the tub. The others thing are perfect
