Oh, where do I even begin with my exhilarating experience at Deshadan Backwater Resort? Let's start with the awe-inspiring ambiance, shall we? Picture this: stepping into the room felt like diving into a landfill. The aroma of musty rooms combined with the fragrance of neglected laundry truly made me feel at home... if home was a dumpster. And oh, the décor! straight from the 1980's, The cracked walls and stained ceilings were truly avant-garde, in a "we gave up on maintenance" kind of way. Let's talk about cleanliness. Or should I say, the lack thereof? If you're a fan of mysterious stains on your sheets, Cobwebs and critter companions scuttling across the floor, then congratulations. In conclusion, if you enjoy wallowing in despair and reveling in the decay of hu*** civilization, Deshadan Backwater Resort is the perfect destination for you. Just don't forget your hazmat suit and a healthy dose of self-loathing. Cheers!

Average resort. Not maintanined public areas and rooms. Swimming pool with dirty water and debris floating around. Food is ok. Wherever you look you will see paint cans, tile pieces from unfinished constructions. Dont really recommend for any family who is on vacation. Can be opted for quick sleep and shower.

I thought I’d died and gone to heaven !!! What a beautiful tranquil place . The rooms are lovely and the pool is perfection - overlooking the lake. Great food and very helpful staff. It was an absolute joy to stay here - wish we’d had longer in such exquisite surroundings

A calm and peaceful stay at this beautiful backwater resort. You can view the sunrise at the backwaters from the resort. The rooms are neat and well maintained. Loved the food. The breakfast spread is not that elaborate but the taste is good. The resort has ample parking space if you are planning to take your own vehicle. The resort offers ayurvedic spa services. We tried it and it's really good. Overall a great stay and would definitely like to repeat it.

Best food we had all our holidays, location was so relaxing and peaceful. Staff very friendly especially the ***ager Sajin. Would recommend staying here to anyone wanting a quiet few days. Staff were working on garden areas should look ok!

Very average hotel and food . Water inside is too dirty and plastic floating on it. Rooms very average and nothing special about it, good options available in much less. Food is okey and room service is very slow . Not recommend if travelling for leasure

A good place to spend time with ***y swings and benches to view the back water. Slightly far off from Alleppey ( 20 kms ) , it has serenity. Room service good ( spl mention Jerry ). House keeping excellent and a good team to do the service. Aircon was not working properly the first day and it was rectified next day to the satisfaction. Only disappointment that after staying there for two days , they didn't allow the requested 2 hours extra time.

We were here for a night after a day houseboat experience. Room is basic but with a great plunge-pool overlooking the back waters . Also a lovely swimming pool looking over the same vista - fishing nets , boats , birds , backwaters . Gorgeous spot to watch sunrise and we also enjoyed riding their bikes in the quiet surrounding roads .They were sweet in delivering us a fruit basket and biscuits however the restaurant is limited in terms of western cuisine . There was nothing much we could have for breakfast if we didn’t want full on Indian cuisine .But very glad we chose to stay here rather than overnight on the houseboat .

We stayed on the property for 1 day and booked a room with a private pool. The property is situated on the west side of the backwater. The room ***** with the private pool was clean and nice, we enjoyed our time in the pool. The best part of the property is the sunrise which was breathtaking. The hospitality was also professional and prompt. The property is a little bit old, though the furniture is in good shape the Bed, mattress, and AC needs to be replaced (A clicking sound was coming from AC in a fixed interval of approx 20 min) ***** with the bathroom partition door (which makes a sound when moved and does not close properly).
