Six Degrees Boutique Hotel

This is not a boutique hotel as it sometimes markets itself as! At best it's a basic hostel. Room size tiny and not good value. Room was not very clean and lacked basics such as power sockets. I had to ask for an extension cable so that I could get the light to work. Rooms join others by means of a thin door/walls so you do not have privacy and hear your neighbours. Stuffy. Fan provided but you had to unplug the fridge to use it. Number of random cables didn't feel safe. Small kitchen with microwave, kettle, toaster useful but some guests using it for full blown cooking at 11pm. Staff seemed to have limited English so communication brief. Car park welcome. Water in the showers was hot although females had to leave the main corridor to walk to the bathroom- felt vulnerable.. We ate there one night- reasonable food but food and drinks expensive We would not stay again or recommend to anyone.

The units are out the back of the hotel, right on the carpark, so can be noisy there. But Unit 1, which is big, was right next to the door where the staff go in and out at all hours, getting supplies. Very noisy at times. Great location; walk to everything. Guy on reception was friendly and the food at the pub itself was good. Unit was clean, thank you

My parents and I stayed at 6 Degrees Boutique Motel for 3 nights over the Australia Day long weekend 2025. We lodged in one of the ground floor motel rooms and we were extremely happy with the Room, it has recently had a renovation/refurbishment including the Ensuite and was fresh and clean. The Service of the Staff was great, Particularly Mike on Reception who was happy to assist and cater to our needs. We dined in the restaurant on the Friday evening and the food was fresh and tasty. We would happily recommend this Motel and would definitely stay there again when visiting Albany.

This is perhaps the furthest thing from a boutique hotel you could possibly imagine. Very basic very small rooms. The room and shared areas were not particularly clean, no lift and awkward stairs for suitcases. Shared bathroom facilities inadequate and very tired, toilet latches broken. Very poor sound insulation in the room. Shower doesn't work properly. Stay elsewhere if you can.

This is a find. Small boutique hotel in historic building. Small rooms with shared bathroom, but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fuss free check in, harbour views, central location, two excellent eateries nearby, lots of ambience. Love it

Had a meal and a couple of beers here recently. Grabbed the nachos and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of ingredients. Not something we normally order as you tend to get a bad of corn chips and not much else. Would recommend these though if just feeling a big peckish but not up for a meal. Lacked a bit of bun atmosphere but not many options around Albany.

Six Degrees is inside a centrally located historic Albany hotel. I chose the low priced ‘shoebox’ room on a week night and was impressed with the size, comfort and cleanliness. Shared bathroom facilities were close by and impressively clean with plenty of hot water and quality white towels. Inside the room were plenty of towels and a comfy bed and pillows as well as a small fridge and locker for storage. The hotel was quiet overnight. My window faced the rear of the property. Parking was on the street close to the front door. Security into the building and my room was very good. Check in and out were easy and quick. Highly recommended for a well located short stay in Albany.

Enjoyed our lunch here. Had the Albany NY burger and the Katsu Chicken. Burger was very tasty and my husband enjoyed his salad. Atmosphere was relaxed. So much better for lunch and far more welcoming than the place a couple of doors down. Would come back.
