Smy Santa Eulalia Algarve

My stay at Smy was not great. The condition of the rooms were awful. Mould in the shower with shower curtains that I was afraid would blow on me. Floor mats used as towels. The mats also had dye stains on them. The sofa bed smelled, so I used a towel to sit down on it, alongside of unhygienic plastic chairs on the balcony. The stairs to the room were difficult and there was no offer of help to get to the first floor. The insult of all insults is the failure to refund my deposit for the room and being hung up on, by Claudia. PLEASE ISSUE MY REFUND AS A MATTER OF URGENCY

The hotel is ok, the room number/blocks designation is a bit confusing though… It’s not in a bad spot for the new *****, and is flanked by plenty of restaurants etc… Big plus is the air con, pool area is just ok for how many rooms they have, no where near enough places to sit

Excellent location, close to *****, supermarket, shops bars and restaurants, staff helpful and friendly apartment clean spacious and Groupon fa well kept

First time at Smy hotel Was a bit sceptical after reading reviews. Neednt have been, the lady on reception was most welcoming, Flavia. Complex was immaculate. Room spotless. The rules are simple, respect for other guests and throw rubbish in bin at the end of your stay. Deposit returned no problem. Thank you Flavia, we will return

Came as a stag of 21, check in has horrendous, lady at reception was very rude. Room was basic but adequate. No cleaning the whole 3 nights, no loo roll top up, 2 rolls to last 3 blokes 3 days. Infested woth ants. Quite time is 10pm. Evening lady on reception was very aggressive and rude, and threatening us with non payment of deposit after paying €300 per room. The situation was de escalated by her co-worker and security. Pool area was nice and clean and plenty of sunbeds. Overall, would not recommend this hotel

I stayed at SMY Santa Eulalia Algarve and honestly, I wish I had seen the YouTube video “SMY Santa Eulalia Algarve Portugal – What We Caught on Camera Will Shock You” before booking. The place itself was very disappointing — it felt dirty, run down, and nowhere near what I expected from the photos. On top of that, you’re asked to pay a €250 deposit, which wasn’t made clear enough in advance. After watching the video, which appears to show a very serious incident, it made me feel even more uncomfortable about the whole experience. If the footage is accurate, it raises real concerns about safety. Between the condition of the hotel and what I’ve now seen online, I definitely wouldn’t stay here again. I’d strongly recommend doing your research before booking.

Hotel good location and room was ok . perfect for large group and stag doo . pool area is nice and the bar is decent enough . Air con unit wasn’t very good but wasn’t an issue due to the time of year. Didn’t blow cold air . Sofa bed terrible for sleeping . Noisy hotel but probably good value for money ,Other than the early check out fee which is silly No need as rooms are already to go anyway . £300 euro deposit needed for damage seems a bit much imo and has to be on a card . Hotel is a dump to be honest. The girls in reception are all lovely but there is one really cheeky male member of staff whose attitude stinks. Walks around the hotel turning music down during the day time when it’s not quiet hours even when it’s not that loud. Book elsewhere if you can it’s not worth the money the pool is very cold and not enough loungers for everyone Layout of the hotel is horrible aswell. the rooms and pretty disgusting. old and out dated. Shower head falling apart considering you have to put a €300 deposit on room which i feel is a bit much. 5/10 minute walk from stip which is ideal but probs the only benefit
