Vila do Castelo

Lovely little set of apartments in a quiet yet fantastic location. Close enough to restaurants, bars and beach etc but away from the craziness of Albufeira - and that’s only 10 mins a taxi should you wish to visit. Pool is perfect and apartments are clean. The staff are all super helpful too. Thoroughly recommend this wee spot to anyone.

Fantastic friendly staff, the apartments have everything you need for self catering. It's a small complex with pools, play areas and beautiful gardens. Near to the beautiful beach and amenities near by. Takes 5 minutes by uber ( very reasonable prices) to old town, close to attractions near by; zoo marine, mall, water parks etc. I had a late flight out and the manager let us use the room until our transport arrived, amazing service 5 stars 🌟

Very clean and in a beautiful area (a lovely beach 5 minutes away). Would stay here again and will recommend to many people. The housing is very pretty and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I had an excellent experience ☺️

Vila Do Castelo is in a lovely area with the beach just down the road (less than 5 mins down the bank!) it’s close to Albuferia and walking distance to little shops or a supermarket Aldi. The apartment itself was really spacious and super clean. It was a-bit rough around the edges in terms of furniture and utensils but for the price we didn’t mind. The maid we saw was very friendly and also the guy on reception was very polite and helpful when we needed assistance with a few things. I didn’t realise this until the end of our stay but ASK RECEPTION FOR A HAIR DRYER :-) The pool area was small but it was clean, had a bin within the area and also plenty of Sun loungers in good condition. The pool itself was really deep so be mindful with small children who can swim but aren’t confident in deep waters. They have a splash pool but that’s best for under 2’s. Be mindful that there wasn’t any cleaning supplies such as dish cloth or washing up liquid. It’s cheap enough from a supermarket. We are regular visitors of the algarve and would stay here again for a short break (we did 5 nights)

Beautiful location, nice atmosphere and very clean suites. Stayed in apartment 106 which has a terrace literally 3 metres to the pool. 5 minutes walk to the beautiful castelo beach. Was very calm (in April) and that was what we liked. Used Uber for longer distance trips(5-10€). Well deserved 5 out of 5 rate.

Not long back from a week at Ponta Grande Vila Do Castelo, absolutely wonderful place, immaculate grounds, lovely apartment, a relaxing atmosphere. Fermino great guy, extremely helpful. Beaches down the road, supermarket and a few bars and restaurants. Perfect. Definitely returning in September! Muito obrigado!

I've stayed here before and found it so peaceful. Not this time . Lots of children one person playing music very load round the pool. Sunbeds been saved which never happened last time. We were lucky to have a bungalow with own sunbeds. It's just luck who else is staying there when you are .

Fifth or maybe sixth time to stay here, we booked our room last June, and opted for the ground floor bungalow type apartment with the garden. So very quiet, good facilities nearby, very close to two outstanding beaches. If you want peace and quiet this is the place Apartment has everything you need, and if you need anything Senor Fermio at reception can’t help enough if needed The sushi restaurant seems very popular on site, but I like my fish cooked, so we didn’t eat there. Coming back again next year, and again and again

This is one of the nicest places that we have stayed in! Our apartment was spacious with a full size kitchen and well equipped. We also had our own garden complete with table and chairs and sun loungers. We were sited right next to the pool which was very handy. The owners may be missing a trick by not having some sort of ice cream/snack bar on site. There is a sushi restaurant which looks very nice but isn't our sort of thing. It isn't a large complex so suits us perfectly. The site is kept very clean and well maintained. The only minor complaint that i have is that our bins were not emptied for the last two days of our stay, including the toilet paper bin. There isn't an awful lot of places to eat and the bus service isn't brilliant but we used Uber to get around which was quite reasonable. There is a nice beach just down the hill. We would definitely stay here again.
