Cerro Da Marina Hotel

Super relaxing and quiet accommodation. Plus the hotel is located in the mostly residential part of town. We stayed bed and breakfast. The breakfast was buffet style with every option available. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cerro da marina is a lovely place to stay, put very noisy due to people not being considerent and letting doors bang. This a small hotel and noise seems to travel a lot, the noise from these issues shakes the room at times. Hotel is close to bars and restaurants, location is good.

Small and charming hotel in lovely area with marina and town near to walk to. Paulo gives you a very nice welcome and informs you of pretty much everything you need to know./breakfast times/evening meal if booked/honesty bar/bus stops etc very helpful. Pool and grounds kept lovely sun loungers are the best we've had plenty of areas outside and inside for relaxing. Breakfast covers everything all good. Didn't have evening meal because we always ate out but the menus always looked nice. Tried nice restaurants in both the marina and town lovely quiet hotel a really nice stay. Red carpet on entrance a lovely touch quite apt.

A lovely clean quiet hotel, just what we wanted, Excellent breakfasts and evening meals Not far to walk into the old town which is very interesting, we found the walk back up quite easy but there are plenty of taxis if needed . We would definitely stay here again Thank you all.

First time in the Algarve since our 1988 honeymoon & first March holiday since 1986. We wanted a break with a good chance of warm weather & chose Cerro da Marina on both location + the excellent reviews. Location is central - it’s half a mile down to the steps to the wide clean beach. Left brings you into the leafy town, right brings you to the Marina. Beach & cliff top walks in both directions are just amazing, lots of flowers out, - we clocked up nearly 50 miles walking & running during our week. Every bend brings a new cove to explore. The hotel was superb - lovely friendly staff, absolutely spotless everywhere, there’s a great team spirit here we felt, with a pride in the hotel and it shows. (A couple of suggestions - the hotel is very quiet but if there’s any noise it does seem to carry a bit through the hotel & as some guests did tend to slam doors and drag furniture around for some reason, perhaps soft close fittings on the doors and felt pads under chair legs might minimise the noise? Because it’s such a quiet hotel, these things tended to stand out.- I am a bit noise sensitive though and appreciate this might just be me.) Our room had everything we needed, was clean and comfy with a nice pool/garden view balcony. Onto the food - it is exceptionally good. Breakfasts- everything you could possibly want is there. Everything. Fresh, top quality and regularly replenished- how we loved the breakfasts! & the Evening meals - Wow! So glad we booked half board for the 3 course meals - I am going to go out on a limb here and say I bet there isn’t better food anywhere in Albufeira- the chef(s) here really know what they are doing, I’ve googled some recipes and hope to try make them myself but they won’t be as nice as they are at Cerro da Marina. Probably my favourite - the Seafood Cataplana stew - but every meal was superb. The house wines are great accompaniments too. We had a fantastic relaxing week at Cerro da Marina, can recommend it 100%, and would like to return one day.

This is a tough one as there is nothing basically wrong with Cerro da Marina but it could be so much better. There are rules and additional charges for lots of items which ******. A kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be handy and appreciated as would fresh drinking water each day. Having to pay to use the pool table seemed harsh too and whilst the honesty bar is handy having someone serve you at busy times makes you feel as if you are on holiday! It is also worth mentioning that although the hotel is close to the old town area of Albufiera the walk back is almost all uphill so bear this in mind if you are not that fit! If you go there with children be warned that balls and rubber rings are not allowed in the very clean and inviting swimming pool which may be tough if you are teaching your kids to swim…… On a positive note the rooms are big and well cleaned and the breakfast buffet is generous although completely self service including laying the tables and making coffee and tea. Basically you just don’t get served. We never sampled the evening meals as you had to decide if you wanted one by 2pm and the choice was limited. I hope this is helpful and gives an accurate picture. It may suit many and remains reasonably priced but just lacked warmth and hospitality.

Superb hotel in a delightful quiet part of Albufeira. The evening meal option was great, and the varied menu had something for everyone, even me as a fussy eater! The hotel is spotlessly clean, linens fresh - honestly nothing was wrong with the place! The staff are just great, helpful and genuine. The hotel is located up a pretty good hillside, with great views of the new marina area. Albufeira was not really us, but I do wish we could find a hotel like the Cerro da Marina in every destination we go to......would make life so less stressful. Loved it!

Stayed here for 5 nights. Wished we had stayed longer. On arrival, Carol quickly checked us in, stored our luggage safely until our room was available. Room was spotless- thanks to the cleaners. Need to flag up how comfy the beds were. Also need to mention the shower- powerful and loads of hot water. Breakfast was lovely 😊. Pool area brilliant. Plenty of sun beds - and space . Loved being able to access drinks and snacks from the honestly bar. Location is up a hill. But 10 mins walk and you are in the old town. Check out also pleasant experience- thanks Paolo. So, if you want to stay near the old town but want a relaxing place to stay, choose here. But don’t tell too many people- I want this hotel to stay exactly as it is.

Just arrived back in the uk after having 10 days at the hotel! I couldn’t have picked a nicer, chilled hotel that is just slightly off the old town which makes it even more desirable. Paul, one of the owners is very welcoming and a pleasure to chat too and deal with. Basically, you are pretty much left to your own devices and I love the idea of the honesty bar, so you’ll not having to try and find anybody when you fancy a nibble or drink during the day. The walk upto the hotel from town isn’t too bad but if your legs aren’t upto it, an Uber will do the trick for €4/5. The rooms are spotless and cleaned every day by a small and great team who are just as friendly with it. If you’re looking to get away from it all then this is the place.
