The hotel was in a good, quiet location, it was clean, the staff were friendly and the food at breakfast and dinner was of a good standard. However, the reason for only an average score of 3 stars is, there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, you were expected to purchase these from the "Honesty bar". Luckily, we had bought our own kettle, teaa, mugs and spoons. There was no staffed bar at the hotel which meant there was no draught beer, no cocktails and no atmosphere. The hotel runs and honesty bar and guests are expected to pour their own drinks and then pay for the privilege, we found this inconvenient and slightly irritating. There were numerous negative notices placed in the dining room, honesty bar and in the rooms, informing guests of what they couldn’t do which we didn’t find very friendly and again was irritating. Attached are some examples of these hotell noticces. This is a 3 star hotel and we paid over £1,000 each for a week at half board, however, we still had to pay an extra 15 euros for the room safe which we thought at this price should be included.
