This review is of 'My' personal views and experiences at the AP Adriana. We have just returned from a week All Inclusive holiday from the 3-10 April. After being up very early we finally arrived at the resort after a 90 min transfer by coach. As usual in Portugal, none of the rooms were ready to occupy. We left our cases in the baggage room, then decided to walk around then have a cool refreshing drink. Our impressions were that the resort on the surface, was quite clean. We were taken to our room by golf buggy, as all the blocks are well scattered about. Our room was on the ground floor, which was a bit odd, as you go up 2 flights of stairs, along a corridor, and then down one flight of stairs to your room. The room was spacious, and very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The walk in shower was good, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The hotel was busy with the early Easter visitors, and at times there were long queues at meal times, and at the bar. Tho' this only lasted a day or two. We found if you want a bit of peace and quiet, the place to be was at the Grill and pool area at the rear of Block T. The food, at best was warm, only the soup was hot. Eggs at breakfast were cold, even at 8am when the restaurant opened. We used the sunbeds and stayed on the well maintained gardens. The sunbeds were in a bad way, some broken, but 'All' were in need of a good clean, as some were very filthy. Drinks glasses and plates were often left by sunbeds for a couple of days. This could be down to seasonal staffing issues. The Grill restaurant was also very quiet, tho' not as much of a selection as the main restaurant, which could be very noisy at times. The bar often got busy, but only Brits queue, others don't much to our annoyance. The new faces behind the bar only served those right in front of them, irrespective of where they were behind the bar, or who just joined the queue, often serving the last person first. They also took an age to do 3-4 cocktails or coffee. They had their one pace and that was that. Access to the beach was good, tho' if you have motability issues, then I would use the shuttle service, because there are 94 steps to the beach, which is worthy of a visit. One day we had a steady stroll to Vilamoura which took about an hour, but definately worth a visit, but take a hat and water because it gets very hot by mid afternoon. As the hotel is a bit isolated, I'm afraid you're a bit, 'Confined to Camp.' There is an on-site shop, but it's expensive and pretty limited. There is evening entertainment, quite low key, but enjoyable all the same, There are a good selection of AI drinks which was sufficient. So paying 20E pp per day for the Premium Package would, in my mind, be a waste of money. There are a lot of things if you look, could be better, but on the whole it's a lovely resort, which I would recommend.
