The Monterey Motel

Was able to park at my door, which was convenient. Was in ABQ for the marathon and the staff let me check out at a later time, no problem

I think this motel deserves to be higher than two stars! It seems to be pretty updated. The room was very cute, and the bathroom was clean. The only thing was that the shower was a little tricky to figure out and the doors do not fully shut so it was difficult to not get water all over the bathroom floor. Check in was very easy, and it was super nice that they provided a complimentary round of drinks! A plus that the cocktails were very good. Super convenient location with Old Town just a short walk away, and a bunch of other food options and attractions near by. Great amenities, including laundry! Great stay over all!

We loved this stay. We booked it on our way into ABQ and missed our connecting flight and they were so so kind to waive the cancellation fee so we booked for another night on our way out of town. We just booked it for one night before leaving early to fly home and we weren’t expecting much but we were very pleasantly surprised. The room and lobby were completely spotless. The staff was really friendly and we loved the little details like tea and hot chocolate in the lobby as well as free drink tokens for guests. Location was amazing as well. Walking distance to a lot of places. We will definitely check this place out more next time we’re in town.

Cool place. We were only there to sleep, for the most part, and it served it purpose. Fun place!

This was our second time staying at The Monterey, and we were in town for a concert. The staff was extremely kind and helpful with anything that we needed, and the property was in great condition! Our room was nice and clean when we walked in after a long travel day and was the perfect place to relax. The bar was great, and the parking was relatively easy. I have a large SUV (Ford Explorer), and the parking spaces were a bit tight, but if you have a smaller car than that you’ll have no issues with the size of the spaces.

We were charged twice for our room and found no way to contact their office to discuss this matter. We tried numerous times and could not get an office phone number. Terrible.

Wonderful stay. Clean and updated room. Very comfortable bed. Free laundry! Beautiful flowers on property. Convenient walking distance from stores and restaurants (for a single person). Near bus stops and Old Town. The grout/caulking in the bathroom needs to be updated. Free drink in the evening and coffee in the morning. Fridge in the room. No lotion.

This place is wonderful! Bartender was awesome and he made the best drinks. Check in and out was easy as well right at lobby bar area. The lounge they have with a kitchen and TV area and patio and free laundry was awesome addition if you need that. In room coffeemaker and charging station on both sides of bed with reading lights were appreciated!!
