JI Hotel (Altay Wubaili Fengqing Jiequ)

The hotel is quite new with excellent facilities. There's free parking right in front, and several restaurants nearby. The service was very attentive. Breakfast was good, and the self-service laundry room was well-equipped. My only complaint is that the heating was turned up too high, and there was no humidifier in the room. I had to open a window or turn on the AC to cool down, which felt wasteful and inconvenient. The hallway was even worse because there was no ventilation, making it uncomfortably hot.

All Seasons Hotels are generally my first choice during my trips in Northwest China. The hotel's overall design is simple, elegant, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is satisfying. The service is warm and welcoming. Located on a charming pedestrian street, it's convenient for dining and shopping, and it's also just a ten-minute drive from General Mountain Ski Resort.

I visited General Mountain in Altay and finally found a highly-rated room, and it was indeed quite good! Overall, five stars! However, one thing to note is that the room we stayed in, near the window, was very drafty. Even after closing the window tightly several times, air still leaked in. It was right behind the sofa, so it was a bit of a nuisance. The humidifier was a bit small; I'm not sure if I was using it incorrectly, but I didn't see any steam coming out. The bathroom water pressure was excellent—it was very warm and powerful! The motion-sensor light under the bed was also a thoughtful touch; I wouldn't trip over it if I got up in the middle of the night to find something! I'd definitely stay here again next time I visit General Mountain!
