I booked this guesthouse after seeing its high ratings online. I'm usually a bit hesitant about guesthouses, but this one was different. First, it's very close to General Mountain Ski Resort, about a 15-minute walk. The guesthouse is located in a residential area, and there's a snowball fight area downstairs; the kids played so much they didn't want to go up. It's also a great place for taking photos. We booked the "Dream Mountain Window Room," and the owner, seeing we had children, offered to upgrade us to a suite for free. The owner has many years of experience running guesthouses. This guesthouse is positioned as high-end, and you can tell she put a lot of thought into the design, materials, and decor. It felt like home—super clean and hygienic. As someone with OCD, I felt completely at ease using everything there. I could tell the sheets and blankets were always fresh. Sitting in the living room, sipping coffee and chatting while watching the snowscape outside, it felt like being in a small European town. Adding a fireplace would have made it even more immersive. The room even had a tea area on the windowsill, perfect for enjoying tea and the snow view. Spending a whole day there wasn't boring at all. The owner even personally drove us to the city center, treated us to authentic Xinjiang-style braised chicken and noodles, and gave us lots of helpful suggestions. Overall, the guesthouse experience was fantastic. Finally, besides skiing, families with children can enjoy horseback riding – it's incredibly good value for money.
