Leolu Guesthouse Alghero

My wife and I stayed for a week in early September. The property is located on the second floor of a 70s building in a street of buildings, some a little dated, where it is a bit difficult to find parking. It is relatively close to the historic center which can be reached in 10 minutes on foot, in 5 minutes you can reach the seafront promenade. Check-in took place via telephone where the necessary information for accessing the facility was provided. The availability of the owners has always been excellent, very kind and attentive at all times. Housekeeping is also excellent: nice to find the room clean and fragrant when you return from the sea!!! (but it is carried out every other day, sich!). The breakfast is also good, the strong point of which is the pastry pastries taken daily early in the morning; there is also some fruit, yoghurt, juice, etc. and also a small space for cold cuts of ham and cheese: it is mostly geared towards an Italian breakfast. The fairly large room with a window overlooking an internal courtyard surrounded by other buildings. Here there was the possibility of hanging out some clothes on the external drying rack; it is equipped with an indispensable air conditioning, an always useful refrigerator and a kettle. The bathroom is also large with a large and very comfortable shower (among the sanitary ware, wow, the bidet was missing 🤔 🤔🤔). In conclusion, I can positively judge the stay at Leolu' guesthouse 👍👍👍... with a good price/quality ratio. On the other hand, the following were less positive: 1) The change of towels took place only in the middle of the stay (we stayed 7 nights). Not knowing it, the first change put us in a bit of a crisis, so we were more careful in managing them. 2) The lack of TV in the room: for those who stay only a couple of nights it may not be of interest, but for those like us who have stayed 7 nights, it is a lack.

The thing I liked the most was the cleanliness and the pastel colors to differentiate the rooms. From the outside it's not the best but the apartment is absolutely worth it. The friendly and helpful owners. Fair price and typical Italian breakfast. I recommend it.

La struttura si trova a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro, dal lato opposto a quello delle spiagge più belle, per le quali è necessario muoversi con i mezzi. La stradina, come il palazzo, è piuttosto anonima ma tranquilla. La camera è sufficientemente ampia, pulita e arredata in modo semplice e funzionale, così come il bagno. Ho apprezzato la presenza di in frigo in camera ben funzionante (a differenza della media) ma non l'assenza della TV. Gli infissi andrebbero sostituiti perché non insonorizzano rispetto alle urla dei dirimpettai che affacciano sul medesimo cortile. Considerando che si tratta di un BB, ho trovato la colazione molto ben fornita: oltre a un cestino personale con prodotti secchi imbustati, ogni mattina al buffet si trovano delle ottime paste di pasticceria, Succhi, marmellate, cereali, yogurt e anche un angolo di salati con ottimi panini. Le bevande calde vengono servite dalla titolare. Unico neo, per chi come me era lì per lavoro, è l'orario perché viene servita dalle 8.30. I gestori sono estremamente gentili e, anche se il riassetto della stanza è previsto ogni 2 giorni, chiedono se si vuole una piccola sistemata ogni giorno. Ho moto apprezzato questa accortezza. Se proprio dovessi trovare un difetto, direi che non mi è piaciuto trovare nella sala colazione il frigo e i mobili con il lucchetto, ma solo per una questione di immagine e non di funzionalità. In camera si trova un bollitore con delle tisane e un pacchetto di biscotti, forse si potrebbe aggiungere una bottiglietta d'acqua come benvenuto.

Salvatore e sua sorella sono molto simpatici ed efficiente. Facilissimo il check-in. B&B è al primo piano, accessibili per scale. Non è facili trovare posto per parcheggiare ad intorno. Vicino al centro storico. Buona colazione, comodo e pulito. Family friendly.
